Just scored one of these. Dot is very crisp and really visible in the SW desert sun. Nice glass and easy controls unlike some others. (I am looking at you SRO!) i have used all of optics in this vid. This is a fantastic optic at a bargain price. Thanks for the heads up on these Nils.

@@briansumner800 I don’t have any complains with the finish or fit of the pistol. It is really accurate and I bought the pistol to start using in IPSC. After trying I’m more than happy with my choosing. Also the pistol comes with a lot of accessories. 🔫👌🏾

@@6foot7dad I put a Holosun 407C 6 MOA dot on my M4.. Had 2 shotgun classes with each tactical class over 300 shells, plus some practicing and it held zero, plinking steel at 100 yards each and every time (only 10 rounds of Slugs each time at 100 yds on steel chest silhouette.. PS.. Make sure the screws you use are not too long because the adapter plate screws onto the rail and pushes against the lugs on the pic rail.. Also loctite those pic rail screws and tighten down good.. I went 25 in lbs on my torque. Let's us know how it works out 👍
Were you able to direct mount to the slide on the TTI combat? In Nils TTI combat review, he has a M03 mounted but there appears to be a spacer, presumably due to the overhung front fouling with the slide cut.
Great Side by Side. Thanks. Love the clarity SIG glass and dot, a no on footprint. Also I prefer the 5-6 MOA dot size. SRO does not return the value, but the best option. I am going to order the M03 and see it for myself.
I put the MO3 on my TTI... I originally bought it for my SFT pro but it didn't for without a new plate and i ended up getting my TTI before i could order it so i put it on that! I think its incredible and i got mine for $189 and free shipping! Lol

Bought 2, both of the supplied batteries lasted less than a day. Also shooting at close targets into bright sun I get a lot of red "snow" in the window.
The M03 is def on my radar when they come to Canada. The R3Max is my favourite , I like the clean dot , side mount battery and thin bezel. The 1st Gen bubble buttons do fail. Sig replaced my original scope with the new flat button version. I have 3 R3Max’s for my P320 Max’s and run the R1Pro as well on my IDPA rig.The SRO has a great dot too but I find the controls too stiff . It’s not really duty scope so the controls could be lighter. It’s on my Shadow . The 507 Comp is a good deal and I haven’t had any issues with any of my HS models . But I don’t like the reticles. They should just issue a 6 MOA only. I find HS multi reticles starburst a bit for me. I put it on my back up Shadow. I have few RMR ready pistols looking for a dot including a Rival so I’m looking forward to testing out an M03 ! Great review Thanks !

Bought my new TTI on Thursday shot it in a IDPA practice on Saturday, then in A local competition on Sunday in ESP marksman. Will shoot it there until I get the mo3 then carry optic….
Respect the honesty on the SRO I do like the canik even though the ears are slightly off-putting, but if they work as intended, I'm all in on durability for pistol optics. Would love to see a stress test on the body of the canik

For the price less then $300 if it can be in the ballpark of durability of other expensive optics I think it will be a home run for us consumers and canik. Look at the Trijicon RMR, it has the "cat ears" and their reasoning is durability and ruggedness. Only seems fitting that since Canik has pulled from the SRO design, they pull from the RMR as well.
@rebelmike99 I have the RMR to small of a window want to go for something with more viewing capability. Was looking at the SRO but expensive call me cheap but I'm always looking for a good deal while getting a decent product.
@tylerboyer2006 oh trust me I know, the cheapest I've gotten an sro for was about $450. My Mecanik M03 I found it on-sale for about $180 last week and now they are sold out, i joined the wait list. I have the M03 mounted on a Rival Darkside. Compared to the SRO, it looks a tad bit larger but just as clear and bright. I can't wait to get it out on a competition course.

Nils, I guess my only question is will it survive on a slide mount? I went through 6 warranty returns on a top rated optic not included in this comparison and found it all quite....annoying. If it is reliable, then this is a no-brainer. 🙂
I’ll say this. I’ve used the final iteration of this optic for over a year and a half. That one optic has over 30,000 rounds through it. 99% while being slide mounted.
Where is it made? I prefer domestic followed by any friends of ours (not China). FYI, I have a Romeo 3 Max on my Buckmark (0 problems), it uses the same footprint as the C-More RTS, but is switching to the Deltapoint Pro footprint the end of this month. Lastly, all domestic MSRPs are hundreds of over what they can be bought for, a Trijicon SRO is $559.99 at Optics Planet right now. Cheers, Tony
The price is right, and I'm sure it's a good optic, but I wouln't want to give up the 32 MOA circle and dot of my Holosun. I have several optics with just the dot, they're not nearly as easy to "find" when drawing from conceal as the circle and dot.
4 months later how do you feel about it? I was trying to decide on this vs the holosun 407c. It was 150 v 240 so I ended up pulling the trigger on the Mecanik. @@NilsJonasson
I have the S with the 507 comp but recently found a bigger window! Cyelee Bull X Pro, it’s on my CZ now but I’m thinking changing it over! Check out my review on it lol the Comp fits inside the window of it lol
Having an issue with my M03. When I fire the gun it no longer works. Take the battery out and put it back in, it works until you fire again. Sometimes goes out when you rack the slide. Works as long as you don’t use it with the gun. Battery seems like it isn’t staying in place. Can’t tighten it any tighter either.
Same happened to me with a brand new unit, I never even made it to the range. It would turn off just from dry firing a few times. Just received a replacement from customer service whom was very responsive.
Correct. It powers off after 2 or 3 minutes and powers on with any movement. So if you’re walking around with it holstered, it’ll stay on unless you have it switched off.
I'm having a brightness issue with my mo3. When I compare the mo3 to my SRO it's like the mo3 is missing two brightness settings in between 9 and 10. So basically when I go from 10 to 9 with the mo3 it's like going from 10 to 7 on an SRO. When I'm shooting an SRO I pretty much always use that 8 and 9 brightness setting so I'm really having trouble with my mo3 finding the right setting on a mildly sunny day. Is this normal or do you think I should reach out to Canik to start a warranty claim?
If only it had a green 2 moa dot with for people with astigmatism. Also one in an ACSS Vulcan Chevron would make it the perfect competition pistol sight.
What is the warranty on the MeCanik? The M01 has a 3 year, but my Vortex is lifetime. The Holosun and Sig are full lifetime, while the Trijicon is lifetime for the structure but only 3 years for the electronics. I've had my M01 for two years and nothing has gone wrong, but I had to replace one of my Vortex Vipers. Just something else to consider.
I wish Canik would just talk about issues they had with Gen 1 stuff and how they've worked to fix it. The Mecanik 1 had a delamin issue. I'll try the new one and be as vocal as I usually am on these things.
Why copycat everyone and use the RMR? Disappointing that nobody will produce a big-window in RMSc footprint so you can mount directly to narrower CZ 75 slides -- currently running a Holosun EPS MOS Green on my Carry Optics gun and use the donut exclusively to aim. Will buy the first big-window competition dot that mounts directly to the slide of a CZ and comes in green.
Because that's the biggest market share footprint out there. They will sell that footprint the most becuse of current numbers of compatability. Why would they want their optic to not be successful?

Yeah the Mete SFT isn’t setup to except the RMR footprint without an additional plate.

How does the MAIS work...does the optic come on if you have your firearm in your holster when your walking a stage, or only when you draw the firearm?

I haven’t run the MO1 or MO2 in competition or put any high round counts on them.

Disappointing that nobody will produce a big-window in RMSc footprint so you can mount directly to narrower CZ 75 slides -- currently running a Holosun EPS MOS Green on my Carry Optics gun and use the donut exclusively to aim. Will buy the first big-window competition dot that mounts directly to the slide of a CZ and comes in green.
Bc it’s what works and the market has been fine with the rmr footprint , even cz released their factory cuts to accommodate that
Probably because that footprint is already utilized on the majority of optic ready pistols out there.
Because that's the biggest market share footprint out there. They will sell that footprint the most becuse of current numbers of compatability. Why would they want their optic to not be successful?
Would the Mecanik fit on a PSA Rock with an RMR footprint? Everything you've said would leave me to believe that it should.
