"I'm trying"
"You're very trying"
I appreciated that immensely :D
Hearing Ben say "Sorted" at the end is probably more satisfying than the food itself.
Could you guys come up with a quick and easy yet filling late night snack? I find myself eating all sorts of junk late at night and would like something that really satisfies.
you guys are gorgeous, sweet, and full of passion
We're a Crème Brûlée!!
Ps…. So are you guys!
I'm always hungry after watching your videos, even if I ate just before watching one!

I've been having a two day marathon watching all of your amazing videos!

when we i was out in rwanda we got fresh passion fruit for breakfast, awww it was so good bring back such fond memories
It's 4:30 am, I feel sick, my throat hurts and normally the sight of food makes me just feel even more sick but the creme brûlée looks really really yummy and isn't making me feel more sick! Yay
This is perfect! And yesterday I was just hoping that SORTED makes their version of Crème Brulée. I really did!
wow! passion fruit in creme brulee.. sounds epic! Great recipe guys!
Crème Brûlée is my favorite. This looks amazing, Thanks guys!!!
Made this and it was amazing! Thank you! We dont have double cream in my country though
Interesting take on shortbread! I'm a big fan of making mine with fresh rosemary mixed in. Deliciously sweet and savory!!
My favorite fruit is passionfruit (I even have a huge passionfruit plant in my backyard) and I'm definitely trying this recipe today!
I absolutely love you guys! What else can I make a Crème Brûlée with?
Rosemary and pine nut short bread! My grandma makes them and they are the best!
I just love the way Barry always replies 'mhm' to Ben's instructions..
I've tried a matcha brulee and it was amazing! I was wondering if you could make a video on that.
Thanks a lot for all of the wonderful ideas you guys share with us!
İ don't know why but i have a weakness for a combo of banana and passion fruit. But would that work in a creme brulee and when should i incorporate the banana into the recipe?
So happy you did this! Thanks guys!
Also, thank you for showing the caramel with water trick! I was confused when I read the tip on Facebook but I totally get it now :) will definitely give it a try!
omg finally one without a blowtorch. so happy!!! thank you
"We want a video of the crack!" Hahaha! Ben never fails!
Can we use mangoes instead of the passionfuit? And what is the temperature of the oven for the caramel?
I just LOVE the idea of the caramel ! °__° It's GENIUS !
FINALLY! I've been waiting for this FOREVER!
I've always thought that creme brulee is very difficult to make, but it seems to be rather easy. I'll certainly give it a go, 'cos that looks so delicious!
Have you guys ever tried roasting veg with a thyme and rosemary simple syrup? it is uh-mazing. Also goes well with roasted chicken!
yeah thanks guys for taking my suggestion!!
i get instantly hungry after watching these videos….. i think i sometimes watch the entire video just to see you guys eat gorgeous food at the end of it…. i'm so hungry...
Every crème brulée I ever tasted was awful. I will try your version of it with this fruity twist :) Thanks Ben!
Could you guys please add a few bloopers at the end of your videos?? They're always really funny!
This looks lovely! But I wonder, is there a way to make creme brulee without refined sugar? Like can you substitute honey or other whole food alternatives without changing the chemistry & taste too much?
Ben's unintentional innuendo's make my day! :) x
Oh dang, this is like... my dream dessert. I'm so happy :')
Bain Marie was created by the alchemist Mary the Jewess in the first century, she was one of the first alchemist/early days scientist to create apparatuses for many uses, the Bain Marie style water bath cooking was one of them.
This is such an amazing flavour combination, thank you so much, love you guys xx
such a cool caramel tip! thanks ben!!
The Bennuendos are strong with this one.
I remember I had Crème Brûlée on a cruise once, it was the best thing I've ever tasted.
I so need to give these a go - always been put off by the need for a blowtorch so this seems like the perfect solution, thanks! :)
Perfect for the weekdays! Love it.
That tap-tapping is driving me crazy at 1am in the morning. Never craved dessert so badly in the middle of the night. OTL
I was at a tea cafe/resto in Indonesia once and I had a delicious Macha Creme brulee. I was wondering if you could do a video where you incorporate tea into some desserts?
This is my fav desert!!! Awesome!!!
hello,
amazing recipe, can you suggest a replacement for passion fruit?
its not available here.
thanks
raspberry or strawberries
can you try any Filipino dishes like adobo, sinigang, or any Filipino dishes....... love from Philippines
YESSS ADOBO
meron na
+robz4627 Yeah but now. Though I hope they make Leche flan or any Filipino desserts
Ben is amazing, and Barry makes me realize why.
the tip with the caramelised sugar is excellent. :)
This method is quite unique. What advantage/ disadvantage does this method have over traditional method, where you heat the cream then temper and slowly mix into the egg yolks prior to baking?
that is the most brilliant way of caramelizing sugar on Creme Brûlée!
omg, that looks fantastic and delicious! i'm definitely making these this week. thank you! :)
Nice tip about the crushed caramel!
I have been waiting for this!! Thanks sortedfood :D
I LOVE creme brûlée!
you guys make my mouth water! I need to make this soon!
Could you do a paella? I don't see it often in Asia and would love a Sorted twist on it! Thanks!
This is deffo going to be attempted on the weekend! Looks deeeeee-lish guys!
brilliant, but a bit over complicated if you don't have blow torch, just put raw sugar on top and throw it right under the flame in the oven on broil, achieve same effects as blow torch. I personally invested in a $20 torch.
The pre-caramelized sugar melts much more evenly and much faster, so you don't overheat the custard underneath. After trying both, Ben's method was definitely worth the extra effort.
best recipe so far !!
Greetings guys, I am going to try this recipe but instead of passion fruit, I am thinking of going with prickly pears (which in Crete where I am, come in great abundance). Prickly pears have the consistency of passion fruit (seeds) but also have some flesh (like papaya) and taste like persimmons. So I'm thinking my cremes will lack in aroma.
Any ideas?
Thanks. Keep up the fantastic job!
You know, i'm a food video binge watcher, but Sorted Food makes me hungrier than any other food tube video
i've been waiting for this all my life
"I'm trying"
"You're very trying"
smooth
Please a nice recipe to prep sweet potatoes (other than bake/boil/microwave them)
love you guys!
Any recipes for tilapia? (besides your salad)
Yay! My favourite dessert! FINALLY!
Gorgeous, sweet and full of passion just like Barry ;)
i am makin' it!!!!!!! thank you for sharing...
That seriously looks SOO good. I wish I could be on sorted food because it looks like so much fun and the food looks amazing and yummy!
Yes, I've posted this before and I don't want to be a torment, but can you please make a bread and butter pudding. When I make it I use slices of hot cross buns or panitoni instead of normal bread. I'm just dreadfully curious how I can add another twist to the traditional version to make it taste even better! I'm going to make this creme brûlée soon because it looks absolutely delicious!
'You're very trying' is something my parents say all the time. You may not admit to being a parent Ben, but whether it's to Tyrone or Barry, Mike and Jamie you definitely are one.
Creme Brulee is one of the only things i'm any good at baking, though i don't have a cooking torch so i use the builders one from my dads shed, it's a VERY quick process haha. I usually only do classic vanilla though, will have to try passion fruit :)
Amazing!
It looks absolutely delicious!
Hey l had liked this&was wanting to make this, but passion fruit not available this time! !do have dragon fruit!! Not sure if I could use it!!/will the recipe get altered!! Though I like the passion fruit flavour a lot.i always like having passion fruit flavoured shaved ice..
I found your channel through random miranda sings vids, and now I can't stop watching!
I've made strawberry and thyme crime brûlée before :) so nice
thanks for the recipe I'm a 10 year old child and i cook for my family,my favorite thing to do is cooking i like to open-minded
Top tip for you Ben if you toss the lemon in the microwave for 10 seconds and you get the same amount of juice from one half as there is in the hole lemon just by squeezing them with out x
That creme brûlée didn't set properly because the passion fruit. Tropical fruits have an enzyme that prevent them from setting into custards, you have to heat up the pulp to break it down then add it to your creme or jello or mousse so it sets up properly
Instead of making the caramel, processing it, sprinkling it then grilling. I sprinkle the top of them with caster sugar, then pop them under the grill for a few minutes. Way easier
When these viewers give suggestions on different food ideas, where is this happening and where do you ask them? Is it your website or is it on UA-cam
People request things all over the place… But keep an eye out on UA-cam or Facebook or Twitter mainly :-)
Brilliant thanks guys! I want to lend a helping hand where I can
I've used coconut milk in the batter, and the toasted shredded coconut on top with the caramel
This is something you have to make!!!! NOUGAT it's my favorite candy right next to caramel its delicious!!!!!!
THANK YOU!
When I was a kid, I always wanted to someday make a creme brulee. I hadn't even had one, I just thought they sounded delicious. But this was back in the 90s before the internet made everything accessible, and all the hoity toity cook books said you HAD to have CERAMIC ramekins! Thank goodness those days are over lol
If I only have a magic wand or a magic whisk I swear that I will always use it so that Ben would appear in my kitchen in an instant so that he can cook for me. Or maybe Ben and Mike will both appear in my kitchen and Mike can be my "Magic Mike" lol!!!!!
Could you use any other flavors for the creme brûlée
OMG. You solved my not-having-a-blowtorch-so-can't-make-crème-brûlée crisis. THANK YOU :D
this Chanel is the worldst best!!! ;D i love this vids
Nice recipe chaps
barry and his reactions are SO cute
I've been waiting for you guys to make this for so long! This dessert reminds me of one of my favourite comic ever (Kitchen Princess), lmao. Anyway.. I've asked you to make this once but I don't think you remember (I commented in one of your vids). At least you've made this, though. Hehe. Thank you! Can't wait to TRY to make it ^.^
Yay they finally made creme brûlée my favorite. That's a nifty trick with caramel topping but I think it's easier just to purchase one of those mini torches. I'd like to see how to make pine nut cookies, ooh! or almond croissants :)
Just got a sorted food ad on a sorted food video lol
Barry getting emotional over how good the brulees are at 6:57
do you think i can substitute the real passion fruit pulp and half the sugar with passion fruit syrup ? since it's impossible to get fresh passion fruits and i'm dying to make this recipe :)
What if you poured the sugar over the cremes and let it set up like that? I realize at least the top would melt but would it still work?
I have been watching you guys for years now and just realised I never subscribed to you on UA-cam. I always use the sorted internet app thing on my ipad. Apologies!
Simply beautiful
