After i got my hands on a Z313 with a mostly done for subwoofer, i decided the the salvaged woofer from the JBL Creature video would make a good upgrade.
What happens if you add a 6 inch passive radiator? Also, would a 5 inch subwoofer make an improvement? If not, what's the specs for the speaker you used? Wattage, frequency response, sensitivity, and speaker model? How would I eliminate the port? Is it glued in?
im a big fan of the STA540. i wouldn't say the Logitech filter is exactly complex. pretty sure its nothing but a 12dB rolloff. could be 6dB, but probably 12
probably. but i dont see a point as you wont get any more bass since there high passed in the active filter. im not sure but i think the satellites in the Z313 were made by tang band

But what i wanna do is for the little speakers is to find a small little beasts and put them in there and then withe sub same pretty much. Logitech have verry nice amplifiers and complex active filters. STA540 is used and is verry capable amplifier IC.

Can i upgrade it from 2.1 to 4.1? I'll add another passive speaker(maybe its 5w) and connect with 2 port aux adapter.
I Wouldn't, you would have to add an entire new 2 ch amplifier and possibly a 2nd or bigger power supply.

The original is close to a 4" but if you enlarge the hole like i did you can fit a 4.5 in it.

I have a z506 but the sub looks the same can I do the same thing with mine ? I need a little more boom also
Z506 has a larger woofer and larger box. If you can find a suitable driver then sure you can upgrade it
