    Hi guys.Any idea how to simply change the pin from one number to another as I have recently moved into a new house and want to use my old pin rather than the new one.Tia

      If there is a dealer pin in the system it will have to be factory reset; completely. Press Menu then 9, enter the installer code which is usually 9713, press (0) zero, press bypass key wait 10 seconds for the panel to start talking.

    Wondering if you could assist. I have had my system up and running for a few years. All of a sudden I can no longer use the Ultrasync app but am able to type in the local ip and access from the browser locally. I now see a control communication fail. Any ideas?

    Question for all: I have a NX-8v2 system and i want to receive notifications on my smartphone when ever the alarm goes off, what is the best bang for the buck with the best app? what part number should i google? the alarm company wants $500 to add this "upgrade" and i dont think this is right. new house, new system *looks like it's from the 1900's) and it's not even connected to the internet. If anyone can chime in that'd be great, and thanks for your time.

      @@SecurityAllStar no problem lol, I purchased an ultrasync ip module, installed it myself and can be my own alarm company for $0 per month :) I am however interested in a newer design maybe touchscreen alarm control, the nx8 v2 one is very dated looking.

    Great video and was working perfectly for over a year but now i can't connect from the Ultrasync+ app. Keep getting a message "Too many login failure attempts" I've checked the pin codes, web access passcode and serial and all is well. i wonder if the webaccess servers have changed. i am using s1.zerowire.com and s2.zerowire.com. Any ideas?

    Thank you for the video. I have a question. I changed phones. I added the Ultrysync app on the new phone. Now when I open the app, the Site Info is completely gone. Do I need to set up the system again?

      Some platforms transfer over your information and others do not. What platform did you change from and to?

    Hello again, I did the reset for the installer code "9713 default" and it worked. Then I followed this video to get the wifi to work and it did; however, when I went to the phone to enter the passcode after I entered the serial number (which worked) I chose a passcode of my own because I never got the 3x5 card or anything when the security company installed it. Is there a way for "me" to contact the manufacturer with my serial code to get the password? I believe then everything will work properly for my to self monitor my home. Any suggestions would be great thank you.

    Great video but the company that installed this in my newly built home must have done something. I followed your video and when I hit menu-9 it ask me for my password they had me enter the day we closed on the house last week. Any suggestions? I don't want to join their monitoring system I just want to do it with my own phone. Thx.

    Hello again. I have another question for you. If I reset the "installer account number back to 9713" will this delete any of the contacts/motions the security people did when they installed the system? I believe the video that you shared with how to "find wifi" that didn't work for me was because the company that put it in for me changed it to a pass they use so that I have to sign up with them to have it monitored. I don't want to have it monitored at this time. I just want to set up the wifi so that I can self monitor it. Thanks for any help. Nick

      PS. I found the instructions on how to change it back to 9713 but I don't want to do it unless you say it will work. Here is what I found:
      Reset Installer Account
      1. Disconnectpower
      2. Useasmallscrewdrivertoholddowntheresetbutton
      3. Turnonpowerandkeepholdingdownresetbuttonfor3seconds,thenreleasethe reset button. This will reset PIN to 9713 and username “installer”, this account will not have access to user programming.
      4. Defaultpaneltorestoreallsettingstofactorydefaults.Seepage25.

      I'm sorry, we just saw these comments. They were waiting for review. You are correct about resetting the system, however; the serial number associated with these units is tied to the original dealer who purchased the unit. Hope this helps.
