The Oracle Bone script already shows a level of complexity and sophistication that precludes it from being the actual earliest stage of Chinese writing. As a Chinese (and a student who is going to take a master's degree in History), I think this video is good. It is a pity that there are too many historical events in China XD. A video of no more than 20 minutes can not even list some most important events. A little correction for the great leap forward. Mao himself was aware of the problems of the movement. For example, at the Zhengzhou conference in November 1958, he criticized the practices of officials for violating social regular. At the Wuchang meeting, he emphasized to correct "the wind of exaggeration". At the Sixth Plenary Session of the Eighth CPC Central Committee, Mao accused many officials of "unrealistic and extreme leftist ideas and practices are wrong". In 1959, Mao once again asked in Zhengzhou to correct the extreme leftist practices of officials in rural production. However, after Liu Shaoqi came to power, Both Mao and Liu were still unable to stop the spread of the left trend of thought, and the government tend to criticized the right trend of thought..... Generally speaking, some major people in the central government at that time were aware of the mistakes of the great leap forward and the problems local officals did, but they were unable to control the situation and correct the mistakes.
