Tour du Mont Blanc Day 2 (TMB) | Les Contamines-Refuge Croix du Bonhomme

Day 2 of Tour de Mont Blanc! Really tough day with whooping 1271m in elevation gain, and almost all 14km were just never ending uphill hiking 🥾 no more shadows above the tree line and many rest stops to regain some energy. But after more than 7 hours, we have arrived to our Refuge which lies more than 2500m above see level. Beautiful views and delicious dinner. Another big hike tomorrow!

Do you know where the donkey/mule/horses stay? Is there a fenced off area for them?

I think they just live around the refuge. No fence :-) they have a lot of freedom
