I really wish she would have gone more into depth on her view of religion now when it wasn’t exactly a Christian experience. She didn’t seem religious at all while discussing it so would be interesting to see if she has changed her views since then.

There are perhaps millions of people who've experienced a near death experience, but until 1975, when Dr. Raymond Moody published his book, Life after Life, the term NDE did not exist. Dr. Moody based this book on some thousands of hospital patients, who experienced documented clinical death, and then came back to continue their physical life. I experienced an NDE in 1970. This occurred early in my Air Force career. I knew that I dare not say anything about what I experienced, I'd be thought delusional. I would probably lose my security clearance and very likely be reclassified as unfit for military service. I buried it deep. It remained hidden in my subconscious mind for more than 50 years. One day a few years ago, I was shocked to suddenly remember this, my own experience. I've had numerous spiritual experiences during my life, but I was not aware, at the time, that they might be connected with an NDE.

    Thank you ❤
I've been in the void, I wasn't afraid, I tried to look at myself and couldn't see me, so I assumed I must be a pair of eyes (logic of a 16 year old), but looking back it still surprises me that I didn't find that odd, I just accepted it, it seemed so normal, and when a "window" appeared in the middle distance and I began to gently be drawn towards it, I still felt it was perfectly normal.
Now, many years later and listening to 100s of testimonies of other NDE'ers, I completely believe and understand that the void is often the first point for many at death, and you do go on to something else.
The thing that surprises me, is I didn't think it was odd to be in the darkest place ever, and expect to look down at myself and see myself, and when I didn't see myself assumed I was just eyes because I was using them to look, and it wasn't because I was in such darkness, but because I had no body, in other words, I fully expected to be able to see even in the sheer darkness , and when I couldn't see myself, think it wasn't because of the dark...I hope I've conveyed that clearly...🤷🏼
Anyway, as a side note, when I was a younger child, probably between 9-11 or 12, twice I had out of body experiences at night, I only rested on the ceiling like a helium balloon would, but the extraordinary thing was I could see through the darkness of my bedroom, (and there were no lights on in my room or in the hallway outside my room)I could see larger detail like furniture and items on the furniture, my bed and myself laying there, to my eyes it was like a dark grey light that my eyes could penetrate.
The darkness of my room wasn't as sheer dark like the void, but still very dark to our human eyes, I sometimes wonder if that's why, when I died at 16, I fully expected to be able to see my own body.
    Very odd, but fascinating.
I truly believe we continue after physical death of the body, and I don't fear it, I hope for every soul to not have fear of death, but to understand that we are part of something wonderful and unexpectedly eternal.
    🕉️💖🙏🏼

A similar thing happened to me once while in deep meditation: I suddenly found myself in a place of complete darkness; I was aware that I was aware (if that makes sense). The awareness in this darkness shocked me and scared me. And I said to myself “where am I and how did I get here?” I was then quickly ‘snapped back’ into my body. I was relieved that I was back in my body because I was afraid I might have been stuck in that darkness.

Mindy, what a sweet and sincere soul you are. Very open, honest and well spoken. So happy you got attached to IANDS, and that you are raising awareness about different kinds of NDEs. May see you at one of the yearly conventions some day. I've seen maybe a 1000 NDEs and I think going to the void initially is actually fairly common. And one's reaction to the void seems to be a function of what you expect and how things are interpreted. Different people will interpret it in different ways based on their conditioning.

    Dearest Mindy,
I feel so blessed to hear your testimony. But I was wondering if you had any "Life Lessons" or "Advice" concerning loving yourself as I have had the same problem since I was very young. I began really recognizing how ill equipped I was to understand this principle to figure this out after studying Matthew 22:36-40. I find myself easily understanding and relating to Loving GOD with all my heart, soul and mind; but loving myself eludes me.
Was there a specific turning point for you in this area?
Anyway, thank you so very much for your testimony. Much love and prayers are coming your way. May GOD Bless and keep you and your family. Take care. ❤🙏

I struggled with loving myself, too, and love God with every fiber of my being from a very young age. This is what helped me the most. I'm only sharing in hopes this may help you. Two things happened, which I believe were from the Holy Spirit. First, I was pondering my deep love for God one day, and He said to me directly, "I loved you before you loved me." The timing of Him speaking to me let's me know He knew what I was thinking. Also that if He loves me, then I can also do the same. I felt as if He was picking me up out of the mud and dusting me off, so to speak. Second, I was alone and spending time with God. For some reason, I held my hand with my other hand, and a thought came to my mind. It said, "Feel your hand. This is the hand of a girl." And I paused for a moment to feel a warm, soft hand of a person. "If you were feeling this hand from a different person, would you think they were worthy of your love, or not?" I gasped of the realization that in no way would I cast this person aside. This hand is the hand of a person worthy if my love. This message to me was poignant. It was a message specifically for me, that the person whose hand I held is worthy of my love. ❤ I am sure these two small lessons could apply to you also.

Another time when the paralytic dream was about to take hold of me, I mentally screamed for help from God, and he reached his hand down to me and walked with me out of my bedroom when I awoke fully. I immediately was back in my bed and fully awake. If you're thinking this was a dream, I can tell you NO It WAS NOT A DREAM, it was very real.

8:00 "As I sat and waited, the longer and longer that time passed, the more concerned I started becoming because NOTHING was happening, and no one was coming for me and... expectation started turning to anxiety".
This is VERY close to what I experienced when I had surgery done many years ago! I was unconscious during the surgery but, suddenly, I woke up in complete darkness and I instantly had a thought "wow! life after death does exist!". The darkness was like a limitless cosmos without stars. I stayed in the darkness for a while and nothing happened. I mentally tried to create my own universe but it didn't happen and this was the moment when I got scarred that I was going to spend eternity in that darkness. The next though was "if I am going to spend eternity here than I want to disconnect my consciousness from this eternity". And in the very next moment my consciousness turned off. After a while I woke up in the ICU after the surgery.

@@Donna-vh5ym Not much. I never gave it much thought after the surgery until I learned about NDEs, where the pattern of complete darkness was described. I didn't have NDE but my surgery didn't go according to the plan. Maybe this was the moment when I woke up in the darkness. I was analyzing this experience and thought that maybe it was a dream. But dreams don't have clear starting point. When one has a dream he/she lives in the dream that has always been there. However, in my case, I had the clear beginning of "the dream". Also, I am not able to willingly turn off my consciousness, or to fall asleep as soon as I desire to do so. It always take a lot of time. However, in that case, I was able to turn off my consciousness instantly as soon as I expressed my thought of not willing to be awake in the darkness.
Unfortunately, I didn't see not feel the presence of anyone in the darkness. Had I had such experience I could have be more certain about what that was. The only thing I can add is that, time wise, it felt that I was in the darkness less than 5 minutes.

All you need to do is accept him and tell him you’re sorry. In fact that’s one of the things I don’t like about religion - the greatest mass murderer gets to heaven if he just accepts the lord and asks for forgiveness, whereas someone like me will go to hell because I don’t believe.
But that’s dogma, so why are you worried, Noemie?

A glimpse of the cosmic neural network of souls... perhaps that is the "mind of God" itself, a colony of souls agreeing upon certain parameters to create a physical reality in which to play, learn, and experience challenges and limitations. Fascinating experience, thanks for sharing it with the world.

As an NDE'er who also had the NDE due to a vertebral artery dissection, I can also say it is THE worst pain, holy crap.. my neurologist equated it to being shot in the neck & having the artery bleeding out. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I am not religious so I don't have any religion indication of what I saw, I just felt peace as the source/creator told me I had to come back, among a couple other things. It's crazy how NDE's occur.

The void is a place of pure potential. From where everything emerges. It is a blessing to have retained the spiritual memory. There is no such thing as spiritual hell. Only the material world can create the illusion of hell, not when we die. Regardless of your belief system that defines things as good or bad.

Glad you are okay. We can’t truly help everyone else if we don’t help ourselves first. As a former ICU nurse, I’m surprised you Immediately turned to your religious praying…& not your phone to call 911. Pray while you dial… looks like you were of sound mind and able-bodied to make that call from what you said . You can always tell the ambulance service that is coming in from the city that you’re approaching from the countryside and there can be a handoff in between. That way you can at least get into the ambulance as soon as possible and have an IV line put in, vitals taken, put on oxygen etc.. You self diagnosed correctly and immediately. With such a strong family history, you have to go to a larger institution to get the proper diagnosis once you’re stabilized at the Podunk local hospital. Why didn’t you go to a big hospital facility to verify versus waiting 2 years? With your family history of deaths due to aneurysms…it’s a no brainer (pun intended). Good luck to you

She said she lived out in the countryside about 30 min from the nearest hospital... calling an ambulance, if at all possible, would probably be slower. Also, I don't think you're making rational decisions when having a stroke.

@@purpurina5663exactly this! I had a stroke last year and the confusion is real!! I didn’t even know I was having a medical emergency (and I work in healthcare). The lack of oxygen in your brain takes over and it is very confusing and disorienting even though I was still having some rational thoughts. It was really awkward honestly. I didn’t even know I couldn’t feel the whole left side of my body in the moment.

Wow, that was a really nice one too. I really love how she has a whole new view now, because often being involved in a certain church or religion makes you extremely narrowminded and judgemental Towards others who don’t belong to your church. So I definitely think that’s why she had this particular experience. (As she said.)

My best friend is dying of esophageal cancer. A few weeks ago she went in to respirtory failure in the hospital and had a bit of a near death experience. I guess everything went black and then she saw the light and heard music playing. Then she was back in her body. She lost her religion 30 years ago, but after her experience she is re-thinking everything. But she says she's no longer afraid to die.

Im curious, the other NDE's that i have watched the people who actually were able to see the beautiful things on the other side were declared " dead " by medical professionals. I'm wondering in cases like this were there is no deceleration of death maybe we are just taken from our bodies for a short period of time so we don't have to endure the pain thst we are in at that moment. Just a thought.

A book by CW Leadbeater said some are clothed in darkness as a kind of isolation from the lower vibrations of the astral realms. Also your comment of traveling through a neural net , this may have been something call the silver cord (external observation) that connects the the astral body to the physical body, and I am thinking your awareness was traveling through the silver cord for this part of experience. There is also mention of the silver cord in the Bible. There are lots of different ways people experience awareness in different ways around the Physical, Etheric, and Astral bodies, and your consciousness does not even have to be in just one of these states at one time, so things can be confusing even finding someone with the same experience in these states . My guess is your spirit guide stepped in to relax you. I seem to sense mine there if I have an Astral experience.
    Thanks for sharing .

I want to learn more about that silver cord because in my NDE there was a scary female creature and as they were lifting me outta the darkness, I saw a silver cord going from me to her, and she was furiously yelling “I WAS PROMISED!!!”
Later, I learned what you said - the cord attaches me to my astral body. But then - I’m always wondering WHY was that creature attached to my cord?! Who was she? How do I get my cord away from her? What promise was she talking about? It’s spooky.

      Sounds spooky.
The silver cord is only attached to your physical body to your astral body, and if the cord is separated then you are no longer alive/attached to your body, but have left that incarnation. The point of the cord is to keep your physical vehicle for you. This is not something you have a job to do, it is naturally yours. Since you are alive, then you were seeing maybe a dream suggestion involved in your experience. The silver cord is very elastic and can be stretched so much it is said a traveler could just about reach the moon. Remain calm, and for life seek your highest love and joy of your divine nature. Your thoughts and fears can follow you into dreams and astral as they are your subconscious projections.
