They should have been putting a wig on her the whole time. That's disgraceful to do that to somebody's hair. This hair stylists knew better.

Is not up to the hair stylists, that's a decision from the directors, since they are responsible for all the expenses. Turned out it got more expensive for them that it should if they started with the wig since day 1.
Even a layman like me can realize that this can be very dangerous

Forcing someone to bleach their roots is just so very wrong.

She wasn't forced at all she could have quit the job and gone and work somewhere else. It's actually the complete opposite of forcing someone if I'm going to pay you to do XY or Z and you say yes I don't see the forcefulness there and hand over their medical records to their employer then they're going to lose their job only covid medical records the employer is allowed to have he can't ask you if you're pregnant he can't ask you if you have cancer he can't ask you if you have AIDS but they can't ask you if you got a covid vaccine now that would be considered forced

I rewatch Galactica, at least, once a year and love Katee and Tricia's multi-layered character performances.
I did this every year for ten years after it ended.
Once I figured out and "logic-ed" every plot point, I was comolete.

I mean…I get the initial investment in the wig…plus upkeep, certainly pricey…but is it less expensive (over the long term) to keep dying and damaging their real hair like that, particularly if they’re gonna *have* to invest in the wig ultimately anyways as a consequence of their choice to aggressively bleach the actors real hair over and over 🤷🏽♀️🫣
I mean the bleach blond looked good, but then you see that one six from season 4 leading the Rebel Cylons and you're thinking, "yeah, she looks better with the long natural hair."
She should start a support group with Christina Aguilera and other celebrities that have had similar issues with hair coloring. Maybe invite some trusted hair stylist to talk about it. Make it a video podcast.
Then hair stylist would lose jobs.

Starbuck was like- my hero when I was younger I have so many good memories of watching Battlestar Galactica. I loved seeing a strong capable female that had flaws and things she was running from but was still the best fkn pilot on that ship and didn't take shit from anyone ❤❤❤

Loved this episode, and horrified at what Tricia was forced to endure so producers could save money. Seriously spending 10k to ensure someone can Safely do their job without having their frackin hair fall out seems like a no brainer to me

The fact they made her that's super bright white blonde color It never really made her look attractive at all. In fact the way she looks now with the natural hair color and the makeup she looks beautiful They should have used her like that in the series straight up

I think BSG is totally a cautionary tale. I really see how this could happen. AI's could evolve to the point of seeing that the true danger to the planet is us. The only logical thing would be to get rid of the humans. Cautionary tale, totally possible.

As much as they should have gone with the wig from the beginning, I appreciate that both of these actresses are not just dissing the system but acknowledge the seriousness of the investment of a wig. That's some real professional behavior.

One would think studios would have learned that a wig is always the way to go after the constant bleaching and dying of Milla Jovovich's while filming the 5th Element caused her hair to fall out and a wig had to be made. No actor should have to be subjected to such unnecessary and harsh routines when the same results can be achieved with a custom wig
So getting a wig was out of the options 😅
