I am so glad you brought this up Bruce! It was such a change that so many people noticed, reached out and asked me if i was alright! I tried so hard to make the most of it but what i experienced, still haunts me to this day lol, it was the worst time of my life and i wish i did a better job at expressing that, It's safe to say that the Vietnamese are honest, kind, respectful, welcoming - what a change of environment. Love it here and it shows 😊thank you for noticing!
@@ShevandDev Which video is this? I wanna see if I can see the difference in facial and body language. Just remember to ask the price before buying something when in Vietnam. That way you can gauge what the cost is and decide if that's what you want or if you need to haggle back and forth a bit.

@@ShevandDev That was interesting to watch. I would have been done after 5 minutes of the color and water being splashed on me. I guess I don't get the point as it doesn't look fun - just crowds of people standing around on the street splashing dirty water and color and dancing. There are certain countries that never appeal to me and India is one of them along with the Middle East, Africa (I know you guys are from South Africa, which is different from other parts of Africa, but there's still an unsafe element that exists for tourists and women, from what I've gleaned), South America, etc. As a woman, India and the Middle East scare me the most as women are not respected at all. I've heard women being groped and harassed in India a lot. In the Middle East, the men will ask the husbands/partners if they can have sex with their women. So much blatant, outright disrespect, it's disgusting. Just a bunch of filthy, pervy sex-crazed men whom think women are a hole for them to stick their tiny dicks in in those countries. Contrast that to Vietnam and other Asian countries, you can walk around as a woman and not have to worry about creepy, pervy men raping and molesting you at any given moment. I'm sure there are outliers, but overall, these are my impressions. Beyond all the scenery is just brown, flat, dirty, and ugly (sure the Taj Mahal and the pink city had nice architecture, but they aren't surrounded by beautiful landscape, trees, greenery, etc., which takes away from the appeal...plus all the unwashed masses everywhere).
He is a kind man but you both are very nice and generous too. Enjoy your vacation in Hanoi. Don't forget to visit the St. Josepth Cathedral

The cake that you ate, is called "Bánh Cam". That one is one of the popular cakes in Vietnam. "Bánh" means Cake and "Cam" means "Orange".

The Cyclo driver charged you 200,000vnd is not expensive, we're Vietnamese still pay 200,000vnd same you..... He didn't charge you more expensive than us cause you're foreigner.
Next time if you have BUN BO HUE or PHO you should eat combine with vegetable bean sprouts- banana flower ans some herb basil should be better.
Anyway Hope you enjoy everythings and any where you'll visit.

Awesome video, guys! If you're up for adventure, then you HAVE to do the Phong Nha multi-day caving. Check out "Adventures of A+K" and "Tim and Fin" as they made great videos from that adventure. But yes, definitely do the Ha Giang Loop as many people say it's the best thing they did in Vietnam, if not their life.

I think you should practice bargaining more if in Vietnam because that is the habit of traders.
