ADIOS MOTHERF***ER!! The AMF Cocktail Recipe

- A simple variation on the Long Island Iced Tea. Substitute in blue curacao in place of the triple sec and voila - an electric blue, potent cocktail crudely named the Adios Motherf***er (or better known as the AMF).

INGREDIENTS
- 22.5mL Vodka (0.75 oz)
- 22.5mL Gin (0.75 oz)
- 22.5mL White Rum (0.75 oz)
- 22.5mL Blanco Tequila (0.75 oz)
- 22.5mL Blue Curacao (0.75 oz)
- 22.5mL Sour Mix (0.75 oz)
- Dash of Lemon Lime Soda
METHOD
Sour Mix:
1 Part Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Part Simple Syrup
Long Island Iced Tea:
1. Combine all the ingredients to your cocktail shaker (except soda)
2. Shake with ice
3. Strain over fresh ice into a high ball glass
4. Top with a dash of lemon lime soda
5. Garnish with a slice of lime or lemon

Ok, I made the AMF, and it was very good. I tried to shake my drink and smile, like you ,but it didn't work out like I'd planned! My wife was like, "what the hell have you been drinking?"

I have to say, this has not only quickly become my favorite bar tending channel but it’s also becoming one of my favorite channels period. Consistent uploads as well as the channel actually actively replying and participating in the community. That play button is well deserved, keep it up!!

I have to say I cut my booze to 1/2 oz. measurements and increase my simple syrup not the lemon juice, I kept the lemon juice at 1/2 oz. And to top it I increased my soda. ( I used Squirt instead of Sprite) It was WAY BETTER‼️. Awesome video ‼️🥰😊
If you took out 3-4 cubes and used lemon soda base, you can down this drink without knowing alcohol is there - was incredible during uni flat /house parties.

Oh, and I had a bartender in Raleigh, NC make it for me with regular gin (without asking) because he didn't have sloe gin and figured they were the same. HIDEOUS!
The Alabama Slammer I remember is a shot of Southern Comfort in a rocks glass with a splash of sprite. You cover with a coaster, slam it on the bar and drink it while it fizzes.

When I make it I usually add a bit more sprite it covers up the alcohol a lot better more than just the splash of it. Another variation I made on it was a splash of grenadine to add a little red color to it.
Is it just me who loves seeing Steve smile while shaking the drinks. The mark of someone who really loves what he is doing.

Made one of these recently. I have an 18yo son, and this is right up his alley. For me, not so much. I used good quality spirits (save for cheap Blue Curacao) which made it more agreeable, but in the end, was not a great use for quality spirits!
I agree - too many competing flavours...ends up just being a potent mess >_

I usually make these with less ice and more sprite. Tastes much better. I also top with a maraschino cherry instead of lemon wedge. Just preference. Its a strong but great drink.
I like to use 1oz each liquor ,1&1/2 oz lemon juice and 1&1/2 oz simple syrup. You'll need a bigger glass but that ratio works really well
I personally love the AMF it's a great drink. Myself I use 1oz of the blue cacou and a little less ice with more sprite to hide the liquor a bit. But 2-3 of those puppies and your in for a good night. Always excellent videos Steve keep up the fantastic work!

We love to get these at happy hour at our local Mexican restaurant! They run $4 U.S. apiece and the bartender does them right! That with a bunch of nicely priced appetizers of large proportion make a great date night out for me and the wife!

My favorites include: Jungle Bird, German Vacation, Cuban Heal, Montenegro Mule, Witches' Daiquiri, Witches' Swizzle, and the Adriatique-anything with amaro and fruit juice. I feel like you and I have similar taste in cocktails because I love the spirit forward stuff, especially those featuring whiskey or gin. These sweet and weird colored drinks just make me think of regrettable nights in college.
I used to love the AMF when I was in college. Now I'm leaning towards drinks that have more complexity to them. I'd love to see some drinks I can make for family this holiday season.

Got served up one of these at an open-bar beach resort in Cozumel. We slowed down quite a bit after these...

I made a variant substituting orange (or pineapple) juice for the sprite, which turns it green. Called it Kermit Spit. I did, however use equal parts liquor to non liquor.
Have also heard the blue variant called a "Walk me home sweet Jesus"
These were popular when I was in college (I graduated in May so not that long ago haha) and also one bar made something called an electric lemonade which seemed like it was just lemonade, blue Curacao and vodka. But it has that same blue color (from the blue Curacao).

It’s so funny. Where I’m from they call this a blue motorcycle. I’ve been bartending for 12 years and this year was the first time someone called it an AMF. I live in a vacation resort town so I usually hear all sorts of names for the same drinks. Somehow, this one escaped me! 🤣
When I first learned this one I swore the lemon would turn it green. but hey, it just works!
We used to order these at the Studio Cafe on the Balboa Peninsula.

You should try making the Liquid Marijuana.
It contains Coconut rum, spiced rum, Midori melon liqueur, sweet and sour mix, pineapple juice, and lastly Blue Curaçao.
I don't remember the measurements off the top of my head.
The green colour of the drink gives the cocktail its name.
Steve, I hear ya. My variation drops the tequila, uses more fresh citrus and allows for more lemon lime soda. It makes a much more pleasant drink.
AMF
¾ oz Smirnoff Vodka
¾ oz Aviation Gin
¾ oz Bacardi Silver Rum
¾ oz Blue Curacao
½ oz lemon juice
½ oz lime juice
½ oz simple syrup
top with lemon lime soda
It's 8:20 am down here, and I already want one of these. Lol
This is one of my favourite cocktails! I love the colour and generally prefer lemonade/sprite to coke anyway.

I double the sour mix when I make it and it tastes lovely. I’m not a massive fan of Long Island iced tea because I don’t like coke so this makes a nice substitute.
Hey Steve, I was scrolling through your channel yesterday and realized you don't have a Mudslide video yet. It was pretty easy to find another video, but honestly my entire cocktail menu at home is just your videos, so I wouldn't mind seeing your take on a Mudslide. Maybe even a Mudslide special, where you break into a few variations? That would help with getting away from bitter drinks for a bit (although I like them just as much, personally).

The smile made the camera woozy 👌 as for the cocktails I say variety is best. Cycle through traditional, classics, simple, bitter, sweet, etc... btw maybe the 2ml of missing tequila was the culprit 😉
i’ve always wanted to learn how to make my own drinks when i have friends over, turned 21 not too long ago and let me tell you you’ve make me want to become a bartender and possible mixologist in the future! (only for friends as i’m sure i would not be able to remember too many drinks)

This is one of my favorite drinks, very refreshing, but I prefer it a little more spicy, so I replace the lemon lime soda for ginger beer and its also very good.

My most blacked out night was with several shots of this plus jagermeister. I still like it though 😄 It's not pleasant do drink it long but it's better as shots.
