Hi Alfie your documentaries are class any chance you can do one about Franco and Spanish football? How he helped certain clubs an what he got up to please?
Oh no! Apparently, one of Finland's 🇫🇮 largest newspapers fell into that misinformation trap today and reported that "news" as facts. Alfie, you're doing an extraordinarily awesome journalistic job! Keep up the great work! ☺️👍🏻
LOL "Journalistic job!" To be clear, I love Alfie! But also, to be clear, what he's doing here (as he himself has straight up told us time and time again because he doesn't need that kind of legal pressure) is *not* journalism (and that's perfectly ok, and think it's unfair to hold him to a journalistic standard - you don't have to be a journalist to speak honestly). What he's doing here is simply saying, "Here's a set of clear and obvious facts that I noticed that for some reason I need to say out loud because there are apparently *millions* of people who don't see it or are gaslighting others, and I need to restore some sanity to this world!" As Alfie himself said, if he "reports" that Steve Sidwell has never been to Mars, he's not being a journalist, but simply stating a clear and obvious fact! And as you can see, this entire video is a ton of statements like that. At one point, he literally just goes through a series of tweets exchanged between him and some of these misogynistic know-nothings! You get the picture! And to be clear, I *understand* why hearing this common sense *feels* like "journalism" (read: honest reporting that is heavily fact-checked and that you can trust to be true) nowadays - because so many disreputable sources *posing* as journals and legitimate sources have appeared in this day and age to try to fool masses into believing that complete nonsense is "fact!" They are so terrible, they make Alfie look like a "real journalist" by simply pointing out things he can be 99.9999% confident are true (such as that Steve Sidwell has never been to Mars)! But yes, I guess what I'm trying to say is, *that* is the sad state of this world! The most commonly read "news sources" (in quotes because they literally are *not* news sources - case in point: Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson himself literally argued in court that no reasonable person would believe what he says! Read: he literally admitted that his viewers are certifiably insane) are so full of lies and nonsense, that any random person with the slightest amount of common sense sounds like a genius by comparison! Anyway, that all being said, I thank Alfie for helping us regain our sanity during such a time!
Hey Alfie, just wanted to say thanks for making this video. You might get a lot of hate for it, but it is nonetheless imperative that people with your considerable quantity of audience and quality of analysis, to continue to spread these nuanced reflections on rather tribalistic and yellow journalistic matters. Personally, the whole Hakimi matter shines a light on the shockingly misogynistic and close-minded echo chamber of online football discourse. Most of these accounts are just sharing this whole misconception because it brings them easy clicks, they know most of social media is dominated with self-conscious trolls who feel threatened by the slightest challenge to bigoted traditions or young users who are easily impressionable. The reality is that rather than focusing on why PSG continue to play Hakimi, why Partey continues to play for Arsenal, or why Greenwood might return to Man United, football flans flock to the victims, insulting them and hating them because their favorite player, the guy they idolize every weekend, ends up being a human being as corruptible as us. At the end of the day those who defend these idols might feel different if say, their sister, mother, daughter, niece, or cousin was the wife of Hakimi or the victims of Benjamin Mendy. Hakimi’s incident shouldn’t be a victory for us men, it is an embarrassment for us. How a man who made his mother proud by reaching a WC semifinal, is now hiding behind her during a divorce that might’ve been caused because of his own mistake. I don’t know about you guys, but that’s not what I learned manhood embodies. Manhood is about accepting and learning from your mistakes, accepting guilt when you merit and not hiding behind your mum. I hope Alfie, you abstain from deleting the comments on these videos, and perhaps in five years those who leave comments praising Hakimi can come back and appreciate how much they’ve matured.

One of Alfie's most entertaining videos ever. There's a lot of competition for that title, but I laughed out loud multiple times and really didn't expect that with the subject matter!
Fucking hell man, he never addresses divorce statistics, he doesn't highlight the age gap and predatory nature of the woman. He doesn't present evidence or facts to support his claim.
What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Maybe you need to learn the difference between being indicted for a crime and being convicted for it. Your tone from this video and the way you talk about Hakimi suggests that you're already assuming or even suggesting that he's guilty. Surely, it would make more sense to talk about something as serious as r*pe allegations after the trial has finished and a verdict has been reached with enough evidence to back it in a court of law. Secondly, reading off tweets from 13 year olds in a condescending and pretentious way does not make for quality viewing. And spewing some lazy rhetoric about incels, red pills and Andrew Tate is far below your usual high standards Most sane people including myself with lives of their own couldn't care less about two multimillionaires and their divorce settlement. You essentially shared the same view after taking up 30 minutes of our time, admitting yourself that this whole video was rather pointless. if you wanted to make a meaningful video on online literacy and misogyny among football fans on social media then there were much better ways to do it.
Thank you alfie as a woman in our community it is unbelievably disheartening to see these misogynistic men so often I’m really glad you talked about it thank you
I don't think they're celebrating Hakimi but more the fact that men in general get screwed in divorce courts and its good to see it not happen for a change
@@nleak92if it’s real, then the French / Spanish court will severely punish Hakimi with anything from massive fines to years behind bars since hiding your assets from your partner is extremely illegal
The positive reaction towards this hakimi’s news stems from men just wanting to see men win in divorce settlements. I’m not supporting hakimi in any way but splitting a man’s property in half in divorces should not even be a thing to begin with except in certain circumstances. Eboue lost his entire fortune in a settlement. and no woman ever said that was unfair, the world simply moved on. Hakimi gets accused of rape, somehow she feels entitled to more than half of his properties. How does one make up for the other ?
Less than 20% of divorces result in splitting of assets and less than 10% result in alimony payments Too many men live vicariously through wealthy male celebs and get personally offended when those wealthy men have to split assets with their (usually) stay-at-home wives.
The vast majority of divorce settlements that require splitting of assets are where the wife was a stay-at-home mom, who put her career on hold or ended it entirely to take care of the family. If both parents were working formal jobs it's extremely rare for the assets to be split straight down the middle

13:25 this doesn't have to apply at all, at least here in Germany You can make a marriage contract when you get married, to still keep the wealth of both partners separated. This would mean that there is no shared property at all and everything "they" own would go to they buyer in case of a divorce. If the rumour were true, and she gets half, that means only that there was no marriage contract. If they never combined their fortunes, she would get all of her own stuff, but have no claims on his.

Man I just bloody love this channel 💚
Amazing as ever. Great channel
What do you think the chances are that someone in Hakimi’s legal or management team is party responsible for creating or at least boosting this story?
I was wondering the same thing.
I would hope this was the case but I think the truth is drivel like this tends to spread like wildfire naturally
Considering the timing of this story and how indictment of rape charges sullied Hakimi’s reputation - I honestly wouldn’t be surprised
Got myself thinking the same.
Almost certainly a PR companies planted story.
Great video! Just remember, that normal people don’t really have the time or need for attention to tweet about this or tweet in general lol. Its always someone who is insecure and needs to build themselves up. Thats how twitter bubbles work 🤷🏽♂️
Yep. The same kind of person you work with who always tells you how busy they are, when they clearly are not. Properly busy people don't have time to tell you how busy they are, because they're really busy, and you can see they're really busy. And also how alpha males don't need to broadcast that they're alphas, whereas betas are always banging on about being alphas, when they're not. Too me, twitter and social media of its type are a scourge on the earth now.
If Alfie made this video, then surely, he is attention seeking? Insecure, and looking to build himself up?
Hi Alfie your documentaries are class any chance you can do one about Franco and Spanish football? How he helped certain clubs an what he got up to please?
This is a great idea
It's a very interesting idea
I’d love to see this but having studied the Spanish Civil War, it could be some of his most grim content.
The fact that this video needs to be made is a damming enditment on society

Damning indictment
True though
Why not even a short about Benjamin Mendy's being innocent and having his life and legacy almost ruined by fake accusations???
What he's doing here is simply saying, "Here's a set of clear and obvious facts that I noticed that for some reason I need to say out loud because there are apparently *millions* of people who don't see it or are gaslighting others, and I need to restore some sanity to this world!"
As Alfie himself said, if he "reports" that Steve Sidwell has never been to Mars, he's not being a journalist, but simply stating a clear and obvious fact!
I hope Alfie, you abstain from deleting the comments on these videos, and perhaps in five years those who leave comments praising Hakimi can come back and appreciate how much they’ve matured.
so the Partey thing turned out to be true? huh, good to know, I haven't heard anything about it since "a misterious footballer in North London was accused of rape"

@David Palero Its fake news that men get screwed in divorce courts?
@David Palero It could be real, it might not be. Time will tell
@@nleak92if it’s real, then the French / Spanish court will severely punish Hakimi with anything from massive fines to years behind bars since hiding your assets from your partner is extremely illegal
LOL. Won't someone think of the men????
THIS is the content we need, thank you for creating a news sphere that isn’t like those drunk clowns at barstool
Yes exactly on point with that observation.
Less than 20% of divorces result in splitting of assets and less than 10% result in alimony payments
Too many men live vicariously through wealthy male celebs and get personally offended when those wealthy men have to split assets with their (usually) stay-at-home wives.
The vast majority of divorce settlements that require splitting of assets are where the wife was a stay-at-home mom, who put her career on hold or ended it entirely to take care of the family.
If both parents were working formal jobs it's extremely rare for the assets to be split straight down the middle

You can make a marriage contract when you get married, to still keep the wealth of both partners separated. This would mean that there is no shared property at all and everything "they" own would go to they buyer in case of a divorce.
If the rumour were true, and she gets half, that means only that there was no marriage contract. If they never combined their fortunes, she would get all of her own stuff, but have no claims on his.
