Can we just agree that Jack is an absolute badass? Man got dropped from the highest point of dharma to the *very bottom,* is barely repaired back to his former glory, by rebels without the tech that made up most of him pre-drop, with most of his software being fucked, and he *still* manages to do what he does ingame
That would have not been like that if Someone was pissing away the parts for the side project

@@mikkelnpetersen well he kinda has them but only as pickup items that only runs for a short amount of time and you mostly use them for deactivating electric charges for stopping electrical currents or opening doors. Hope we get more equipments if a sequel is made
blades are cooler, the ghostrunner is way faster than regular bullets
It’s honestly a treat watching the player get better and better as the game goes on
I like to think the times that Jack dies and restarts is actually him at the checkpoint calculating what is the best way to go through the obstacles and enemies.

That ending was a big cliffhanger. I hope Jack is alive and returns in a sequel. The end showed him gripping the sword after he "died," meaning instead of being a machine, he gained consciousness and was now sentient, thats what I'm thinking. I might be wrong, but it doesn't matter cause Jack is alive, and that's all I care about cause that means a possible sequel.

When ever I see the ending before the final cutscene, when Jack is about to shut down and we see a group of figures, I like to think those are Jack’s brother ghost runners reaching out to save him
The only thing about this game that really irks me is its sound design. The sound design is horribly flat and underwhelming - it lacks any punch and personalised flair, which is a shame bc I love the gameplay and concept behind it. I hope to see a sequel/update with improved sound design

At the end cutscene Jack is gripping his sword. This means he’s most likely alive. But there’s one very cool thing they did. Jack really only knows his identity once he starts fighting the architect. The Architect made the Ghostrunner do the job for him. The Architect refused to tell Jack who he was so he could take his body in the end. Which he failed in. That’s why he hesitated to help Zoe, because she rebuilt most of Jack and told him some of who he was. Jack was running on his software during the missions. It’s only during the final boss (Architect) that he refuses to follow orders of the architect. So if Jack didnt talk to Zoe, Zoe wouldn’t have told him he was Jack, from there. Jack would’ve died or the architect would’ve been successful in the act of taking jacks body. Zoe is the one who hacks stuff so if she didn’t disable lasted fields then he probably would’ve failed.
R.i.p. jack he maybe be a machine but he has a heart and a soul, He more human then both of them. let his memories live one in our memories and still play the game

Playing this on PC was pain I can't imagine how long it took on console
i also played it on pc but with a controller it was fun sure aiming shurikens was a bit hard but you have a sword not a gun so aiming isnt a factor

Interesting, don't get me wrong, but it just seems to be infodump dialogue after infodump dialogue. Cutscenes aren't just to show pretty pictures, they also _show_ the story while giving the player a break in the action. Here, they tell the story while the action is happening, which splits the concentration and you either have to stop moving to focus on the conversation, or ignore it entirely and possibly miss vital information.
This game has amazing gameplay and gorgeous visuals, but... you're right. The story is totally, 100% "tell, don't show", and I really think that's kind of a shame.

Just my opinion, but this could been 100% better if it would if the platforming was a bit smoother on the player's part. Having random points of just stopping sorta killed the flow of the video.

This dude would win definitely, genji has rage mode, shuriken, “quick slash” and deflect, the ghost runner got all of that with RGB installed on his blade AND palm repulsors, PLUS his ice shuriken.
