Now I've seen some wild enclosures but this 1 is definitely top 5 mainly because the ingenuity of the port design is definitely 1 of 1. The way you took the space available and turned it into a working masterpiece definitely shows that everyone out their really testing your Gangsta. Mission competition . On to the Next 1 💯💪🙌
😆 Thanks homie! Glad to have been able to make your list ✊🏽 Definitely a first time build for me, but it won’t be the last. Everyone in my area, with a G-body or 100% trunk build wants a box designed like it. Either to fire through the rear deck lid or like this, towards the armrest cutout. Sad to say, customer’s subs were used and may have already been damaged 🤷🏽♂️ Either that or an Install error or faulty equipment. Said it was the most amazing 15 mins of playtime tho 😭. To the point were he believes that he may have the hardest hitting trunk build, in the county. Ordered recones that should be in by the end of the week. We shall see 🤷🏽♂️

So how "local" does local mean? Haha! I got family in your town, and I'm just around the corner from you... (and down I40 about an hour) lol! Good work man.
Yea, that’s local enough for me 👌🏽 Here’s why I say local. I need access to the vehicle, in order to test fit a mock-up cardboard box. I also need the sub(s) in order to test the box. This way I can guarantee box fitment and box performance 👌🏽
Thank you homie!!!! So glad to have you along for these builds and honored to know your getting inspiration from them. I’ll stay locked in and see how they are coming along 👌🏽
DAM BRO I SWEAR ALL YOUR BOXES ALWAYS COME OUT LOOKING DOPE BRO! I CANT WAIT UNTIL I GET ON YOUR LEVEL BROTHA! THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO BIG DAWG! 💪🏼💯👊🏼😎
Wow bro awesome job on that box it fit in there like a 👏 def a win in my book I bet that boy slammed.. Id love to see him throw a crossfire 8k on them boys..def drop a demo vid..
Really nice build. Question. I’m making a box for my truck and I’m looking at the box info for the sub and the recommended tuning frequency is 41hz and the recommended ported volume is 0.75 cubic feet. I want to tune the box lower. Should the size of the box increase as I tune the port for a lower frequency?
Appreciate you watching and liking the build 👌🏽 By tuning the port lower (lengthening the port) will cause your overall internal box volume to shrink. So, yes you will need to increase the box volume, to accommodate for the additional space the port will take up. Or if you don’t wanna do that, you can extend the additional length of the port externally. Which will not effect the internal box volume 👌🏽
Yo OG I need you advice. So I've tried everything on the Sonata to stop the rear deck from flexing from the kicker 8 I put in. So ima do a small sealed enclosure and make a custom beauty panel etc. I went to home depot today and saw a couple wood options for the beauty panel. I want to keep it thin to save space what you think on these 2 options? And if not either 1 what would you recommend? I saw 1/4 - 2/4 MDF and 1/8 - 2/4 tempered hardboard .
That 8 back there straight clowning 💪🏽 I like using 1/4” materials. Either mdf or that brown hardboard you see me using. I’ve found that anything thick, the fabric will fight you on inside corners. Mounting can be tricky, depending on what your options are. I attach the panel tot be area and then add the fabric. But you can also use neodymium magnets. That way you can wrap the panel separately. Hit me up if you need anything bro. Hit my email and I’ll get you my # to text and send pics , so I can see what your seeing 👌🏾 bj.hammon@yahoo.com
@@210Designs Thanks Big bro 🙏you will see a email from me @ keithzaczek@gmail.com this weekend after I finish researching everything I'm thinking of doing.
I use 1/2” mdf mainly because of limited airspace or when using smaller subs, truck boxes and low rms subs. When using it, I recommend adding additional bracing to help keep the enclosure rigid, minimizing flexing. I like to use 1-1/4” wooden dowels. It’s cheap, easy to use and doesn’t take up a lot of internal air space. Hope that helps bro 👌🏽 If you have anymore questions, just ask. I’m also on IG@210.designs for faster responses 🤝
It would be based on your internal box volume and tuning frequency you were trying to achieve. For port area: a safe zone is 12-16sq”/per box cf. (HxW) As for tuning, that will be based on box internal cf. Standard 2-12s box would be around 3-4.5” cf. So maybe 18-20” long would have you in the mid-lower 30s. I’m just going off the dome, so I’ll be off a little one way or the other 🤙🏽
Lot of time effort and knowledge went into this enclosure. My hats off to you sir, nice work!
