Such a beautiful view! Girl you're living my dream (- the studying part, I think I'm done with that part of my life...maybe) but the living in the islands part! Currently researching which island to make my next move! Have you experienced the Spicemas carnival there yet? I'm thinking about visiting this upcoming August?
Yeah, I've made a whole juicing video with them. I said my neighbor said they aren't good for eating. They're good for juicing. This was also my first video lol I was still learning.
Hi! I like your room tour!! I will apply St.George's medical school I hope to see you :) I heard all of students must to live in dorm.Is it possible to live out off campus??
Thanks! SGU recommends staying on campus the first semester, but if you have a pet, spouse, or child, they will approve you to live off campus. Obviously there are some people who don't have any of the 3 and still live off campus initially, but not so sure about how to go about that. Hope to see you here as well!
Hey, awesome video! My girlfriend and I are planning on moving to the SGU area for her classes by the end of the year. Any tips on finding an apartment? And if ya don't mind me asking, how much do rent/utilities cost per month? Thank you (;
Thanks! And no problem. SGU actually has a facebook page for off-campus housing. She should just have to send the admin a picture of her acceptance letter and they'll let her join. It's called SGU Housing by Students. There's also one called SGU Post Grenada Students Buy and Sell. The second one will have some apartments, but also cars and other things students are selling. The page is strictly for students so that way only students can post and you know it's in an area close to campus/near the bus route. And don't worry. There's always something available. They drive on the other side of the road (if you're from America) so I'd say get used to the roads before getting a car which might affect where you choose to live (if it's not close to the bus route or sits on a hill). I know you don't know the island, but it'll tell the 'city' that the apartment is and usually how far it sits from the bus route (there are 5-6 routes). Rent can be as cheap as $500 for a one bedroom to $1600 for 2-3 bedrooms. I will say if you look at 'complexes', they tend to be more as opposed to just buying from a landlord. Alot of times (like in my case) the landlord has bought a house and sectioned it off into 'apartments' or will create a floor designated for renting. Alot of them come with everything included, but electricity usually is never included. Air and dryers are luxury here. It'll be hard to find somewhere with central air. Mine only has air in the bedroom which is common. Also, it might be hard to find an apartment with a dryer, but most people use drying lines (I actually have started). If you do find one, it's up to you how to run the air/dryer but it will increase your electricity. Also, some apartments charge a pet fee if you're bringing one. Usually the landlord will also ask for your deposit up front and will either reimburse at the end or use it towards damages. I can give you so much more information if you'd like. You can add me on facebook (Brittney Kilgore) since this is getting a little long.
Brittney Kilgore Thank you so much. This really helps us out a lot - I really appreciate it! Definitely will be checking out those Facebook groups today
Hi, i am a peruvian living in Moscow as a student doing international relations but i am focused more on languages and teaching them, i have a russian girlfriend and we are planning to live in Grenada after the quarantne is over, please can you tel me how much is the rent for lliving in ana partmant like yours? or at least the minimum x month. We are very interested on your answer please salutations and success!!
Hi! Most of the housing I know of is for students, but I'm sure you can find landlords and realtors. I suggest finding a Grenadian real estate agent. It's very easy from the internet. Alot of students even use this option. My apartment is older and doesn't have as many amenities as some and I pay $500 USD/month but they can go up to $1800USD/month that I've seen. It honestly depends on location, landlord, and amenities :) Hope this helps!
I will actually be making a video about this soon! It can range anywhere from $500 a month to over $2000 for a single room. It depends how upscale you want to live. Also, when you look into having 2-4 roommates, it might bring this cost down. I pay $650 a month with all my utilities (except electricity) included.
They are NOT smart if they live on an island with that many cars when that defeats the point of living island life. I hope you keep walking like I do there even though I was born in 🇬🇩 I have never 🚗
Can you buy a car? Is renting expensive? My daughter was just accepted. She from Georgia. I’d like to prepare her as much as possible. Thank you for the video!!!
Hi. Yes you can, although first semester they recommend you staying on campus. This would give her time to get a feel of the other side of the road since they drive on the other side, and the steering wheel is on the other side. Renting can range from about $350-550 a month while you can also completely finance your own car. Most cars are 1994-2001s that students actually buy and cost about $3000-7000 USD. My truck was $3500. Insurance is about $200-300 a YEAR. These are all US prices. I will try to upload a video soon about cars :) You can also message me on Facebook
Brittney Kilgore Thank you so much for responding. Jessica is also a certified yoga instructor. You can see her on UA-cam masonandmiles. I’ll tell her about you.
You never said how much you pay for monthly rent! What's the point of a video showing your apartment if we don't even have a financial reference point?
very nice so butifull house dear

Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
What you said about the orange is not true. Yes they stay green but we suck it and make juice with them.
Yeah, I've made a whole juicing video with them. I said my neighbor said they aren't good for eating. They're good for juicing. This was also my first video lol I was still learning.
