History repeats itself. Everyone was skeptic when Heath Ledger was cast as Joker. It turned out to be a legendary performance. The same will happen with Pattinson. He's gonna kill it.
Not really the difference was ledger was known for 10 things I hate about you and brokeback mountain, and only played dramatic roles in lesser known indie movies. Pattinson had Twilight sure, but even before the lighthouse he was doing so much work to separate himself from that initial image. If someone still thinks Pattinson is that twilight guy than they haven't payed attention to movies for a decade. pretty much the Ledger criticism made sense at the time nobody could have predicted that level of preformance from him besides maybe somebody close to him.
Nicholas Maniccia so many people trash robert about twilight and he hated the movie just as much in tons of interviews even when they were still making the movies he talked about hoe much he hated it but money is money
Just got out of the theatre an hour ago. This movie is incredible. The story seems like its over at about two hours and 20 minutes into the movie, but it just keeps it going while nailing what it had previously done. What an incredible film. 10/10
It was entertaining but I had super high hopes. It was no where near dark night story but was aesthetically cool. They tried really hard you could tell

I agree. Pattison nailed the traumatized yet intellectual Batman, Dano made the Riddler like the Zodiac Killer, and Kravitz poured her heart and soul into Selina Kyle. But more importantly, it felt like an actual detective story which is what Batman was always about: Being the World's Greatest Detective.
I’m so happy for Robert that he’s getting all these great roles, he’s not gonna be known as the twilight guy anymore, now he will be known as The Batman, he deserves this such a fine actor
I want ben affleck also to stay as the batman, even he's perfect , i liked him more due to the warehouse fight scenes. and heard that there's a potential return for ben affleck as the batman in flash movie and for his own solo movie where deathstroke will be the villain, might as well get those arkham origins fight scenes which ben told us about, the arkham origins batman vs deathstroke is what inspired ben.
This portrayal of batman has the potential to be incredible. The trailer seems to paint him in the light of a confused, raging victim. A young man angry at the world and himself. The scene of him pummeling that thug was pure hatred, not justice. Perhaps the most interesting Batman is not the hero you admire, or envy, or fear. The most interesting Batman, is the one you pity.
Its year 2 so he is still finding himself and he needs to install as much fear in the bad guys as possible so the violence is in this case is for a reason.
I really love the idea of a Bruce Wayne that’s totally lost a grip on himself. This man is up all hours of the night pushing his body and mind to the limits and still has to be barely functioning the next day. I like how in the Dark Knight they had a scene of Wayne sleeping during a board meeting but Bale’s Wayne persona always too well put together for me. Pattinson looks like he can pass off as a rich boy who spends his nights coked up and partying. To the rest of the world, he’s privileged, irresponsible and wrecking his body because of it. You can’t live the life of Batman and wake up the next day and act like nothing’s happening. Instead of using his Wayne persona to help his work as Batman, he literally gives up any enjoyment of a rich life for vengeance.
This film made a whole new genre for Batman movies. Incredibly shot, dark and gritty, a story that pulls you in, spot on acting, and honestly everything and anything you can ask for a Batman movie. 10/10
@@sameergamer4life700 They both have strengths and weaknesses. DC is good when it's dark, but sometimes it goes too dark, and they seem to lose control of it. Their sense of humour is almost always badly done (save for Shazam perhaps). Marvel can be very childish, but it knows when to stop, and to focus on what's more important. This does mean they sacrifice some key elements of the character from the comics i.e. made Thor quite weak.
I watched the movie yesterday. Best Batman adaptation to date. He's finally a detective. Dark and realistic...just as it should be. I love it! They really set up the movie for a sequel.
It is true that she is a detective, but the thing is that alfraid solves most of the riddles and there are riddles that she cannot solve in bruce, she cannot be said to be a very good detective
So one of my best friends and I decided to watch this opening night. We didn’t know exactly what to expect as far as how good the movie would really be. But it just so happened that Robert himself visited our theatre’s screening for the movie to give some opening words. Man did we all get hyped up, opening night and Batman himself came to tell us he loved making the movie and he hopes we enjoy and that there’ll be a sequel.

Just watched this movie yesterday, perfect adaptation of Batman imo. he's finally acting like a detective, a dark, mysterious, full of fear and contempt to his enemies with a cold, striking, emotionless expression to truly send that fear to their spine. The cast in general were fantastic, they all held their roles extremely well, no one seemed nor felt really out of place. The music & atmosphere was probably my favorite thing about this movie, the unsettling nature it gives off, the foreboding, menacing premonition it sends you to your spine during the big moments were directed & captured perfectly, the atmosphere of Gotham was phenomenal, you could really feel how dangerous it really is and how strong Batmans resolve to fix Gotham really is. Amazing movie and its by far my favorite adaptation for Batman to date. Shout-out to Patterson for the perfect encapsulation of Batmans character, didn't think he'd nail it but boy did he absolutely blow away my expectations. 9/10.
You'd be ignoring the entire Arkham series, the TDK trilogy, the 1989 theme, and the TAS theme. Yes, this theme is among some of the best, but it still isn't really the single most badass one.
Is Riddler actually the main villain? I know the ?0?1 makes you think that. But there's also Catwoman and those thugs looked like Joker thugs, but could also be Anarchy thugs. The Penguin also probably appeared well to me it looked like him. I dunno I'm just excited.

Dimmer lighting gives a darker tone, setting up the ambiance. you don't see Horror movies or Dark movies with Sunshines and bright lighting unless it's using the bright tone to give a false sense of security just to fuck you over ik it's a joke :|
@Duc Long Nguyen well, thank Matt Reeves actually. I believe he had way more to do with it than Robert Pattinson. By the look of it so far, this Batman is entirely different to Bale's Batman which Pattinson also has to take some props for
@Chewbacca Pattinson's Batman relies on realism even more than Bale's, even going as far as not including any futuristic high-tech gadgets. His suit is obviously homemade, he's wearing standard combat boots, batmobile is just a regular tuned-up car, batcave is just an abandoned subway station, etc. It's much more similar to Bale's realistic approach than to Affleck's.

Batman could have easily took out all the guys in the gang, but severely beat up one to instill fear in the others. A true Batman move and a nice touch by the director.

That's how i felt with the first appearance of Pattinson. He's a damn great Batman 🔥

definately onscreen, I got a real different vibe off watching a still frame of Batman making a criminal into a cripple and i love it instead of all the quick camera jumps to a rehearsed fight scene of some flyby asskicking. This is awesome.

We live in a true renesanse of Batman media. A new movie series. A successor of the animated series. And a sequel to this movie. We don’t count games for now (at least until a good one will be released. But it will be hard to beat up Arkham games). What a great time to be Batman fan. Dark knight truly returned to media🎉

This movie has made me terrifed of batman.... and this is why I love it so much it showes how just a few scenes of batman could make everyone fear him. I see now that fear truly is a powerfull tool.
best movie I’ve ever seen and this coming from a guy who was never a Batman fan. I haven’t seen any Batman movie apart from one as a little kid or cartoons. This movie has completely changed my perspective of the character. One of the best movies made, the narrative, the cinematography and acting was just amazing

@@maxfrankow1238 in the comics yes marvel has a lot of serious stories, but the movies are pretty light hearted. The most serious mcu films are probably infinity war, endgame, winter soldier, and civil war. Marvel still can’t compare to the edginess that DC has.
I never really take the riddler seriously as a villain. While he is intelligent, he’s a b-list villain that keeps leaving clues to his crimes, hoping that one day Batman won’t be able to solve one.

It’s a perfect balance Marvel is mainly light-hearted with the occasional darker moment DC is mostly filled with stories that have dark themes with the occasional light-hearted moments
Dark, dark, dark. The way Batman ought to be. Whoever came up with the idea of mixing Batman's darkness with the darkness of "Something In The Way" deserves an award.
There’s one thing that I love about him, his walk. He walks slowly because he knows, once you’re his target you can never get away from him. And he knows he will get you no matter how hard you try and hide/run/kill him.
Ahh, what most people forget is the reason WHY DC has such good villains it's because the hero has the same goal as the villain so they have to fight they have a bigger reason than just "oh you're doing something wrong time to beat you up" it's that both hero and villain are doing something right in there own mind both of them are the hero in their own story that's why the joker movie was so good cause the audience saw the joker as the hero even though he was clearly the villain.
The Joaquin Phoenix joker was not the joker not even close . The joker is not an anarchist and he is not a mental guy out for revenge. Joaquin was great but like health ledger he was not comics accurate at all. Jack Nicholson is still the most comics accurate joker . Health and Joaquin were both great characters but were nothing like the comics joker

@@magoomjey2287 It's not artificial. Games use trackers and there's real people doing stunts. There's no way the action would look so cool if it's completely CGI. Making the game is way harder than making a movie and yet the game is still so much better than the movie
Odds are pretty good that he'll be fine. Most people that get it usually recover with few symptoms. What I admire is that they are still continuing production on everything that doesn't include Robert. And also he strikes me as the guy who is very nonchalant and considering that so far he has not posted or said anything on social media milking the covid for all its worth, I wouldn't be surprised if he treats this like a minor inconvenience. But that is just the way I see it.

IMO The Batman is the best comic book movie much better than The Dark Knight trilogy and Joker. Maybe except MCU Daredevil.

I watched the movie yesterday. Best Batman adaptation to date. He's finally a detective. Dark and realistic...just as it should be. I love it! They really set up the movie for a sequel.

It is true that she is a detective, but the thing is that alfraid solves most of the riddles and there are riddles that she cannot solve in bruce, she cannot be said to be a very good detective

So one of my best friends and I decided to watch this opening night. We didn’t know exactly what to expect as far as how good the movie would really be. But it just so happened that Robert himself visited our theatre’s screening for the movie to give some opening words. Man did we all get hyped up, opening night and Batman himself came to tell us he loved making the movie and he hopes we enjoy and that there’ll be a sequel.

Just watched this movie yesterday, perfect adaptation of Batman imo.
he's finally acting like a detective, a dark, mysterious, full of fear and contempt to his enemies with a cold, striking, emotionless expression to truly send that fear to their spine.
The cast in general were fantastic, they all held their roles extremely well, no one seemed nor felt really out of place. The music & atmosphere was probably my favorite thing about this movie, the unsettling nature it gives off, the foreboding, menacing premonition it sends you to your spine during the big moments were directed & captured perfectly, the atmosphere of Gotham was phenomenal, you could really feel how dangerous it really is and how strong Batmans resolve to fix Gotham really is.
Amazing movie and its by far my favorite adaptation for Batman to date. Shout-out to Patterson for the perfect encapsulation of Batmans character, didn't think he'd nail it but boy did he absolutely blow away my expectations. 9/10.

@Chewbacca Pattinson's Batman relies on realism even more than Bale's, even going as far as not including any futuristic high-tech gadgets. His suit is obviously homemade, he's wearing standard combat boots, batmobile is just a regular tuned-up car, batcave is just an abandoned subway station, etc. It's much more similar to Bale's realistic approach than to Affleck's.

Batman could have easily took out all the guys in the gang, but severely beat up one to instill fear in the others. A true Batman move and a nice touch by the director.

definately onscreen, I got a real different vibe off watching a still frame of Batman making a criminal into a cripple and i love it instead of all the quick camera jumps to a rehearsed fight scene of some flyby asskicking. This is awesome.

DC is mostly filled with stories that have dark themes with the occasional light-hearted moments

Dark, dark, dark. The way Batman ought to be. Whoever came up with the idea of mixing Batman's darkness with the darkness of "Something In The Way" deserves an award.
There’s one thing that I love about him, his walk. He walks slowly because he knows, once you’re his target you can never get away from him. And he knows he will get you no matter how hard you try and hide/run/kill him.
Ahh, what most people forget is the reason WHY DC has such good villains it's because the hero has the same goal as the villain so they have to fight they have a bigger reason than just "oh you're doing something wrong time to beat you up" it's that both hero and villain are doing something right in there own mind both of them are the hero in their own story that's why the joker movie was so good cause the audience saw the joker as the hero even though he was clearly the villain.
I mean, the villain always has to be doing something that's right in their mind. They wouldn't be doing it otherwise, no?

The Joaquin Phoenix joker was not the joker not even close . The joker is not an anarchist and he is not a mental guy out for revenge. Joaquin was great but like health ledger he was not comics accurate at all. Jack Nicholson is still the most comics accurate joker . Health and Joaquin were both great characters but were nothing like the comics joker

@@magoomjey2287 It's not artificial. Games use trackers and there's real people doing stunts. There's no way the action would look so cool if it's completely CGI. Making the game is way harder than making a movie and yet the game is still so much better than the movie

Odds are pretty good that he'll be fine. Most people that get it usually recover with few symptoms. What I admire is that they are still continuing production on everything that doesn't include Robert. And also he strikes me as the guy who is very nonchalant and considering that so far he has not posted or said anything on social media milking the covid for all its worth, I wouldn't be surprised if he treats this like a minor inconvenience. But that is just the way I see it.
