- I told you I wanted to dive deeper into more genres. Korn was suggested a lot after my Slipknot video. Most of you wanted me to listen to Freak On A Leash so that's what I did. I have to admit, Nu-Metal is my favourite genre at the minute. I do love Heavy Metal a lot though.
Here is my reaction to hearing Korn - Freak On A Leash for the first time. I hope you enjoy!

You do pantera domination live in Moscow 1991? About a million people in the audience when Pantera was used to playing for 500 people at a time. They went insane with the energy. Great song too.
Your thumbnail is doing you no favors
MollyBoy: they're not that heavy
Jothan Davis: GO!
STILL not that heavy
LOL I was waiting for someone to comment on his timing on the pause just before the, " Boom!" That was awesome for someone who had no idea what was coming next. I however felt a little cheated! LOL
@@chilesuicmez It's obviously a heavy riff, don't be a killjoy.
@@lordtrigon1733 he even said it was not that heavy and he has not even glanced extreme metal, for metal its cute for rock its heavy :)
@@chilesuicmez Think he is ready for Chapel of Ghouls? :D
Korn - Blind is a must listen"!!!!!!
......blind back to back w blind @ woodstock 99
Yes bro!
Got the life
@@joshuatmanion8010... I was in the crowd...insane!!!
Ball 👅
Korn - “Got the Life” will be right up your alley. It’s on my gym playlist for a reason 🔥
Korn has a heavy hip-hop influence. They even cover hip-hop songs.
Dude! Do the song, “Blind”! It’s kinda their anthem. It’s what they close their shows with. They used to open with it.
woodstock version?
Actually ALOT of shows that what they open with.
@@danielkinn782 I saw them a couple years ago and it was their last song.
Yep.
AAAAARE YOOOOU READYYYYY
More Korn? Yes please 🙏. Their song "Blind" from their debut album was probably most people's introduction to them and should be checked out. That was basically the birth of Nu Metal. Yes also to The Deftones, and another badass and interesting band to get into is System of a Down.
Korn is a fun rabbit hole. 30 years and still headlining festivals.
Stop worrying about people thinking your videos are fake. Look how fast your subs are going up. Keep doing what you're doing.
Definitely check out ‘Blind, Clown, shoots and ladders and Got the life, Here to Stay, A.D.I.D.A.S, Thoughtless, Make me Bad and Did my time by Korn 🤘🏻
Falling away from me is pretty good too
Thank you for the reaction homie, korn has been my favorite band since 1994, Jonathan Davis is one of the most talented and influential vocalists of all time. More korn would be very much appreciated. 🤘
Korn doesn’t have a bad song. Jonathan Davis is an incredible singer and songwriter
Opinions vary. Some would say they don't 1 good one.
I am 50/50 they have some great songs and like all bands (every one of them) they have some blahh fillers. It is subjective to each individual.
Oh, I dunno... Korn has some truly great songs for sure, but they've had some stumbles, too. While I applaud them for experimenting and trying something new, their foray into dubstep was a bit of a miss, imo. They had a bit of a dark period in the mid to late 2000s, but came back strong with Serenity of Suffering.
They definitely have bad songs...
Thankfully not too many, but some have aged really terribly.
Classic! System of a Down (Chop Suey, Toxicity, Aerials) ❤ Nu Metal Heaven
Yes system of a down --spiders is a good song too all their songs are bangers
Toxicity! Can't ask for Linkin Park so SoaD will do!

korn - blind live woodstock 99 is a fucking must!
Filter - Hey man, nice shot. Enjoy.
DUDE!! They are the FATHERS of NuMetal.
Grunge kid, grown up with Korn. Legendary !! Great reaction, good luck dude.
Grunge girl, grown up with Korn. Great life we have lived ♡
MollyBoy if you really like this. You’re gonna love Korn
Definitely 🤘🤘
None Inch Nails, "Head Like A Hole" He literally wrote this song in fifteen minutes!!
My ❤
Korn - Got the life is my favourite song of them
"Right now" and "twist" will definitely be songs you'll love 😂
Oh my friend this is a rabbit hole you will enjoy for sure.
Korn are the pioneers of nu metal dude. It all started with them😉🔥👌 Please go down a rabbit hole. They’ve been my favorite band since 1994🙂🤘
Definitely the song "Blind' from Korn. Prong is another 90's metal band with a lot to explore. They're still doing it too🤘
"Dead Bodies Everywhere", "Counting on Me", or "Blind" next
couple other oldies for you to try:
Mudvayne - Happy?
Killswitch Engage - Rose of Sharyn
Sevendust - Face to Face
Dude! You are in the rabbit hole and there's no turning back now. Keep going....
Korn, coming undone. ( also well done on the no smoking)
Korn got their start about 20 minutes from my house. I saw them when they first came out. They created nu-metal.
Anthrax, Faith No More, RATM deserve some recognition prior to Korn.
Recognized, yes, but Korn are who really put nu metal on the map and defined what we consider it be today. Plus, I love me some Anthrax, but they didn't use downtuned guitars, which is one of the hallmarks of the nu metal sound.
@@Pohgrey true, but they all contributed to the birth of the genre.
I'll never forget when this album came out. I was working night shift at the time and had gotten off work at 7am. A buddy of mine showed up at my house, before noon I think, and woke my ass up and made me hang out with him and listen to this for the first time. Lucky for him, it turned out to be good, or else I might have popped him.
Ok, you've now done Slipknot and Korn...gotta complete the 2000's nu-metal starter kit with Mudvayne. "Dig" might be the best go-to song of theirs.
Death Blooms also comes to mind, they had a couple other bangers
Know forever is their best track bar none imhop but no filmclip sadly.
That whole album, L.D. 50 is pretty damned amazing, if kind of a one-off. "Prod" is still one of my all-time favorite songs. I wish they were still around.
Korn, Twist (album version). Short and sweet.
Korn has always been my favorite band and they are the godfathers of numetal i would recommend shoots and ladders. Coming undone. Here to stay. Twisted transistor and falling away from me
Honestly I always thought it was a little weird that this song got so much hype because it's not their best work. But they birthed the nu-metal genre. And they were the first to tune their 7 strings down a whole step and then replicas came out of the woodwork.
Fun fact the lead singer now has a pet collar and leash company now called Freak On A Leash.
Me 38 y/o grew up with it and watching with a shit eating grin when you said “it’s not too heavy yet but I like it” knowing the break down scat climax of the song is coming. Then your face as you realize how awesome it is was great.
Testament - Practice What You Preach 1989
Greetings from Córdoba Argentina
Korn'a 1st album the whole thing is EPIC!!!
Greeeeat reaction! 🎉
I have some suggestions i f you want some Nu/alternative metal :
Sevendust - Denial
Coal Chamber - Loco
Mudvayne - Dig/ Death Blooms
Soil-Halo
Il Nino - What Comes around
But there are so many good songs of that period that is hard to just name some of them.
Yes coal chamber. I wish they’d have made it bigger. I was always more thrash metal but I really liked them.
Denial is good, but Black is what got them on the map. Angel's Son is an excellent show of Lajons vocal talent.
Korn is the greatest band ever!!!!you have A LOT to get to with Korn!!!!!!!
Love all your reactions and yes Korn is a band worthy of continuing with. My two recommendations, "clown" and "shoots and ladders"
I really enjoyed watching your reaction to this, it was great. I love seeing the younger generation listening to the older music, I grew up listening to this as well as almost all of the heavy bands from the 80's & 90's. I love it!!
LET'S GOOOOOO!!! Korn possessed me for a good 2 years in my mid 20s. Man...90s metal. The Deftones are definitely a good band to get into. Don't listen to them if you're in a shit mood though, haha.
Been listening to Korn since elementary school (they formed when I was 5). This band (and a few others) are my childhood. They formed my love of music, and helped me through some very traumatic times. Korn was my therapist. Knowing I wasn't alone and someone like Jonathan Davis had experienced similar events helped me process my pain, fear, & rage.
I will definitely be here for more. Been lurking and watching for a little while. Slipknot & Korn? You have a new subscriber.
Well said!
You're goin to luv KORN🤘🤘🤘🤘
Reactions to this song still take me back to those days. Living on my own for the first time. Found some people to pal around with. Went to some parties. They’d be playing this album, which had just dropped. Then I’d hear it at more parties. Soon, this song came on over the radio in my then-girlfriend’s car. It was some real new stuff. KoRn have always embraced hip-hop leanings with some funk, and they’ve had guest rappers on their albums. I say fuse it all together and make some cool shit.
In 93 i saw ,, biohazard, who opened for house of pain.. but there was a band before biohazard, korn. They were throwing their TAPE into the crowd... paper, photocopied insert.
I have it somewhere.. my now 15 yr old daughter loves them and gets annoyed w me bc every time she plays it... i start shouting "WASH YOUR HAIR JOHNATHON"
I really hope i didnt lose that tape like i did 764456 others AND some vinyl
Omg yall im crying.. hold me
Looking forward to this reaction
KoRn paved the way for Adema, Linkin park and the whole genre, enjoy!
🤘
I've seen Korn 6 times live and bro..they NEVER disappoint. They hit had, play aggressive and banger songs!
Senser...age of panic...the uk version of RATM
The part where he says GO is so much fn fun live❤
Shoots and Ladders will blow your mind
Blind is also sick af
Daddy will probably traumatize you but it's a must listen
Do it MollyBoy! More Korn!!
Getting to experience this live and right up front was fucking incredible. Everything was on point, fucking perfection 🤘 My wife and I will see Korn live every chance we get for the rest of our lives. Take our money!
Korn Blind Woodstock 99 awesome performance the whole concert is amazing watching them perform live is cool as hell
Drowning Pool, "Bodies"!!!!!!
Yes!! You loved it! Their first three albums are seared into my memory. They were on top of the world at Woodstock ‘99, huge crowd. More Korn, please!
You have quickly become one of my favorite reactors. Your excitement to hear new music is epic.
Hell yes, Bruv! These guys are unbelievable...SO DAMN MANY good tracks to come...!@!!!!!great, apropos reaction!!! These guys invented this shit...down tune, hip hop influences, breakdowns...FK yeah
"This Love" tho...or I'll cry myself to sleep😝
Coming Undone, Korn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yesss!!! bring more korn!!!
I am not a huge Korn fan but I have always respected them bc they forged a sound all their own. No one else sounds like Korn.
Oh Yeah!! Let's Go!! 🤘
Great video mate, glad you enjoyed the song. Korn have a ton of absolute bangers! Awesome band! Enjoy the journey!
I absolutely love watching people react to Korn. So entertaining! ❤
Thank you bro for listening to the best 🤘🤘
Korn is a really nice band I own the vinyl of follow the leader 🤘
One true metal head can always tell another true metal head. And deep down, you are a true metal head
nu metal is very hated by some metalheads and I don't understand why, I honestly think it rocks a lot and is very catchy. Listen to Be Quiet An Drive by Deftones it's amazing..
As a metalhead I've always liked Nu Metal. (though I don't like Deftones) I never saw the problem with it.
I can shed some light on this, not hating on Korn at all but personally the meshing of different genres common in nu-metal sounds grating to me and comes of a bit cringe. Being less than the sum of its parts
@@2510LuLI didn't really understand what you mean because English isn't my first language but I think I understood that you don't like nu metal very much and that's ok !😊 everyone has different opinions on certain genres and that's okay, we don't all have the same musical tastes.
PS.If I misunderstood, don't worry about correcting me :)
@@salmone729 haha sorry, i'll simplify. The mixing of different styles in nu-metal doesn't sound good to my ears pretty much. Hip hop and metal seperately can both be awesome but i don't like them together
@@2510LuL ohh now I understand what you meant hahaha
seriously , you cant go wrong with KORN . Hit after Hit . React to more ...you'll fall in love with this band .
Awesome vid Mollyboy
Korn to me was always one of those band that were absolutely great 3 or 4 times, then once every 2 years to hear the breakdown.
I never really got into Korn, but I remember this being a total banger when it was released.
"what the hell is a-miga-boo!?!?" XD hahaha brilliant reaction, also welcome down the Korn rabbit whole I have been living down here for 25 years xD
I think the appeal of Korn was all about that sound. Like you say, it's not "heavy" but it's hitting the right notes.. and I've always thought of it as having this sort of "dirty" sound to it, thick chunky bass with really low tuned guitars. I grew up on korn, love them to bits.
Molly boy if we're doing Korn"Blind" Is a must and "It's on"
If you want more of JD's crazy scatting, check out "Twist" and "Worst is On Its Way". I see people suggesting "Blind", "Got The Life", and "Falling Away From Me" as well, very good songs. I'd also say "You'll Never Find Me", "Cold", "Idiosyncrasy", "Can You Hear Me", "Narcissistic Cannibal", "Y'all Want a Single", "Coming Undone", and "Get Up!". Although, in my humble opinion Korn doesn't have any bad songs lol, just a few that are a bit harder to get through due to difficult subject matter (one well-known example of this is "Daddy"). This is my first video I'm seeing of yours, damn good reaction content that i'm seeing so far, keep it up dude!
He’s great on bagpipes too
GO!!
they sound incredible live! Great reaction
I love how you stop the video literally the second before the beatbox breakdown (5:32) to comment on how different his vocals are. *chefs kiss* Just wait.... there's more different right around the corner. ☠
I love Korn, I grew up with them. When they first came out they were rejected by company after company. One reason they became famous and loved was due to a young boy who was a fan. He requested to go to one of their concerts from make a wish and not only did he go the members of korn spent the day with him and they even wrote a song for him called Justin. Congrats on not smoking!!! I smoked for 24 years and quit coming up on 3 years. It's hard but you got this!! My favorite band is Avenged Sevenfold. If you haven't yet you gotta check them out!!
Was fun seeing you enjoying this. Im 47 and korns first album started a crazy journey Metal. Check Korn, Blind. The pinacle of a nu metal song.. Definitely go down the Korn rabbit hole 🕳
I was born the right time, teen in 70"s-80's always loved rock/metal and was there for every great decade of it all!!! Hell yeah❤
You have to do somebody someone !! When I was about 15 korn came out and blew everybody's minds! I remember going through a lot of depression and panic disorder, and I used to listen to them every day and korn's lyrics were insane in the first two albums!! if you really want to dig in into the very dark korn who maded people cry? Daddy(with lyrics) it's the song you have to do as well! But you won't be able to handle that! I think everyone would agree on that!
I’m newish here. Liking the channel bro. Keep up the good work.
I loved this album. Cranked it soooo loud!
Subscribed for the Korn rabbit hole and Nu metal discovery!
Yes. Fall into the Kornhole. 😂😂
Sick video, man.. much love.. :)
I really appreciate your genuine reactions, it’s great to see how these songs have their effect on you, you ‘get it’.
Since you like 90’s metal I suggest giving Biohazard with Retribution a go. I hope you’ll like it, the chorus is killer!
Blind from Woodstock 94 is the ultimate show of their power as a band. Unfuckingreal. But listen to the studio first, so you get the vibe.
Korn got the life
Corey Taylor lead singer from Slipknot got inspired when he went and saw Korn in concert. So years later when he was in Slipknot he wanted to inspire his audience the way Jonathon Davis from Korn inspired him.
Ha! Why would anyone think it’s fake? And why would anyone care? I love seeing people enjoy the music I enjoy! We enjoy together, and it’s fun.
aw bro if you like how they sound as well as heavier stuff listen to good god, one of their heaviest songs as well as a really groovy song, life is peachy and follow the leader have a real good groove to them that you’d absolutely love, that beat boxing thing he does before the breakdown is called scatting, jonathan (the lead vocalist)is very well known for it and nearly every album features that scatting in some way. if you want groovy and heavy listen to life is peachy if you like heavy with some less groove listen to the first album. follow the leader has a mix of both in a really good way and i know you’d love every song off that album
Another band that popularised a genre back in the mid-90s was Fear Factory. Check out Zero Signal, Self-Bias Resistor or Demanufacture from them.
Dont go down a rabbit hole with a particular band though dude. Keep it fresh every day.
Welcome to Korn 🤘 you MUST react to Blind live at Woodstock 99… you said you like live performances? This is the one!!! Looking forward to it…
