Wow! We are getting our first Laser and will have to try this.
Looks cool looks really good with a black backer or in a shadow box with led lights
*Thanks Eric!* Got the file and I'll be making it into a video in the New Year to reciprocate on the shoutout!
Good clear explanation
Very good Eric.
Very nice, I will have to download it and when I get my laser I will be making it.
Thank you very much sir.
Love your videos, just bought the file, can’t wait to make it. And yes the Roly Lasermatic is the best one I own. I have the 20/10 watt and it’s fantastic! Thanks for the videos.
Have you tried it yet? A few people got a corrupted file. Some of the letters at the bottom are not perfect. Hit me up on ETSY if the letters look messed up.
This is a very good video and I also bought the file and it's a very nice file, I made my first ones out of white acrylic with the stands They turned out very nice but I cannot overemphasize enough adjust your base size to the thickness of your material. I plan to make four of these two self standing and two in the shadow box take them to an event let's see what happens.
Hope to see a pic on ETSY! Thanks for the love :)
@@ValleyForged I stopped doing etsy now I just do direct sale to my local folks
@@poppopswoodshop I meant on MY page (review) where you got the file. Always nice to show others what is possible. :)
@@ValleyForged Ahhh Yeah That would make sense..LOL
@@poppopswoodshop They look wonderful! Thank you so much. I am inspired!!
Hi!, great job, I´m making my own versión in spanish.
Would you be willing to sell the Spanish one? An Italian and or latin one would be awesome too.
When I say sell, I mean the files. Not the finished product.
glad it ends correct ;)
Thank you so much for this step by step...just purchased the bundle... what price do you normally sell the framed version for and what for the wall version....
It just depends on so many factors. I will try to make a video explaining within the next week.
Thanks for the tutorial. The video was well done and useful. I have a question. You mentioned that you are using hardwood for the crosses. Did you mean hardwood plywood? I would be concerned for wood movement and cupping with solid hardwood, especially pieces that wide. I have the file in my cart now. Thanks.
Yes, I use Hardwood Veneer Plywood from Craft Closet. Glad you made the distinction. I will put this as pinned.
Thank you for the beautiful file, I just have a question how would I slightly space between The I and the N in the word (INTO) the phrase LEAD US NOT (INTO) as the letters I and N are not seperated. Thank you.
Send me your email through ETSY and I can help you on that
great file. what is a ball park figure that you sell them for if I may ask?
$30-$50 for large depending on wood type and or base. Small ones can be cheaper of course.
Hi, just wondering what you sell the cross for. I’m in the UK and would love to buy the file and make these.
John
It really depends on so many factors. I will make a video specifically on this soon, but $30-$100 depending on size, frame, stand, type of wood...
For the cross in a frame, do you wrap the velvet around to the back side of the frame base or just glue it to the front only?
Just to the front, but now I use the velvet with one sticky side (amazon) and cut it to size. Trying to glue the fabric was a real pain. I hope to make a video on it soon.
@@ValleyForged Thank you for your reply! I'm learning alot from you and I appreciate it!
Took your advice and looked at the hardwood on craft closet. your video says you use 5mm on the Lord’s Prayer project, however I do not see any 5mm hardwood ply, only 1/8”.
I use the MDF core ply. They have both one sided and two sided. craftcloset.com/collections/wood-1-4-double-sided
Thanks a lot!!
@ValleyForged I got a question if the file work's on a GlowForge laser because I don't use Lightburn software
It comes with SVG. I know many people have said they have done it on Glowforge
@@ValleyForged Thank you
I just purchased the file from Etsy. I’m hoping to be able to make it out of 3mm plywood, as I only have a 5w laser. What do you think? And can I use the slots and tabs feature to adjust the slot? Thanks
I have done it with 3mm, so yes. As long as you know it will do the cutting OK. As for the slot you can just use the method I do in the video to adjust the slot. Not sure about the other way.
@@ValleyForged Thanks
Hi. Need a little help. I made 2 perfect crosses from your file. That was a couple weeks ago. I went to make more and now my laser is scorching the wood bad. I’m using the smaller file. Xtool D1 20W non-pro. 95%/300 speed. Any advice? Thanks!
Hope I was able to help (on ETSY).
Yes, you did. I appreciate it!
Can this be put into the Wecreat Vision software as an SVG file and it work properly? Very new to laser. Thanks.
The SVG should work fine.Setting are on you, so make sure the lines are at the correct speeds etc...perhaps try on cheap wood first
@@ValleyForged Thank you so much for your reply. I will let you know how it works out, and maybe post all the settings once I get them figured out.
The Longer B1 20w is currently $560 is that a good deal?
Certainly do your looking around. I think Longer makes an amazing laser, so if it is competitive with others in that range, I would certainly choose it.
Can file work in xcs?
Others have done it. I don't have XCS so I cannot confirm. It includes and SVG
Using 3mm wood. Must done something wrong for sure. Cross was one place and the wording was way off. Going to give it another shot. Most likely me doing something wrong
Yikes, see if it looks right in lightburn first. If all looks good then it is not the file. Next would be it hitting on something during the cuts. A piece sticking up, focus too close to the wood, warped wood, surface not level etc...keep me posted.
It was the motherboard going out
