    Man I'm so torn also with xtool there's a trade in for coupon off the s1 that I haven't been able to get to work and was thinking of getting the s1 with 10 watt cause that's what I have in my xtool d1 10 watt but also heard the s1 is much safer even being a 10 watt with 600/mms. But even with the 40 watt s1 and coupon for trade in the lasermatic is still cheaper by a couple hundred bucks and but not sure is lasermatic you can chamge out you laser head power like you can with xtool s1 I don't think you covered that in this video so not sure if you know that with xtool you can change you watt heads. Other great video man xtool and lasermatic should just give free lasers to everyone lol

      @ValleyForged 5 годин тому

      Well, the 40w module is $1,300 by itself. That is pretty close to buying the whole Roly 30w. And with the Roly it already has 30/10 so you would not need to swap it. They are both good, so whatever you decide I am sure it will be great. Everyone has their reasons for what they choose. I just try to help give my own opinion, and I hope people get other ones as well.

      Yeah, it seems good, but I cannot verify if as good as this one. It is built on the old 'Atezr/Ikier' frame with I had before and was fine. Hopefully you can find someone you trust who has tried it.

      The LaserMATIC 30w is still the best one in that price range in my opinion. As I mention that laser in about 20 videos, I figured I would just talk about Atomstack in this video. But yes, having 70w is better than 30w for my business. And the fan turning off when not using it is nice as well.

      @@ValleyForged Yeah I’m heavily tempted to pull the trigger on the MK2MW especially hearing an IR module is in the makes. Hoping it’s more than a 2w. 🤞🏽

    I would love to have the 70 Watt, but I would want it in a full enclosure not so much for the safety of my eyes as to the cleanliness of the equipment in a wood shop. My current lasers I have to cover have to cover when not in use because of the amount sawdust in the air even with dust extraction running. And for me I really need a larger work surface. But All in all very good informational video..

    I went back and watched the Sunday show I missed. That group, including you, are my favorite channels. All of you have allowed me to learn the craft. As soon as my products are good enough to sell, my new business will begin. It would be great for you to have a patreon. It will keep the negative people out due to the paywall. If you do not want something paid then a Discord server works. You can moderate to keep the negative people out and it is free.

    Well, if I were going to vote on the way to communicate with the public, I would have to say Facebook and then I would say I hate Facebook. Facebook is a love hate relationship interaction on Facebook can be good, but it can also be very bad it seems to consume a large portion of the day with updates and live streams and this that the other. On my Facebook page because I come out to the shop anywhere from 4:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the morning I would do a short video pretty much three to four times a week on what's going on in the shop for the day and or the week after about a year of doing this on Facebook has just gotten old. With all that said I fully agree with you that you need a place for almost real time interaction, but you've got to have limits it’s because it'll eats up too much work time trying to get things done for a show or an event or whatever you're going to do for the upcoming events. I wish you the best of luck securing your spot on whatever platform you choose and I'm sure I'll check it out one way or another.

    When you say you disable autofocus, did you mean the z-homing? I had to add autofocus in Lightburn with a EPS500 code. If you disabled z-homing, how did you do that? Thanks for all the info you provided in this video and along with the comments. Sadly I now have this and read about their customer service. If they are as bad as everyone is saying, I may box it back up & return it.

    I bought a 10w not knowing I should have bought probably at least a 20w I’m tempted to buy the 20w upgrade for mine because they keep dropping the price but at the same time I’m like why spend the money and maybe save for a 30w or better. Don’t know what to do. My learning experience is I need more power because of what I want to make.

    • @ValleyForged
      @ValleyForged 11 днів тому

      Yeah, tough call. If you get the 20w it is likely you would wish you had the 30w lol. I find the 30w will do 1/4" in one pass most of the time, where it takes two with the 20w. I would say that is the major difference, which can be huge.

What I’ve learned since buying the first laser doing local farmers markets, and some larger gun shows laser work is kind of everywhere. Many many people have it or at least in my area.

      It is not really the lens, but a lens cover. I clean it about every 10 hours of use (depending on the material). If it does get ruined, check out Ventauri on UA-cam. He sells a pack of replacement lens covers on ETSY. I believe they fit most Atomstack machines.

    I try not to waste my time and turn down many of the request I get for reviews especially If the machine isn't for me just from the the specs. But I think I may try your approach of writing the companies I want to work with and review. I do purchase some of my machines If I really want one. I agree I like to use the best laser for the job I am doing. I have been lucky that so far all the companies I have done have been up front and wanted me to be honest and have not requested me say anything specific. The requests have been very reasonable and most gave me a reasonable amounts of time to complete them. I have not run into one I hated yet, but I have not done as many as you no wear near since I'm kind of in two spaces that could be two channels doing Knife sharpening and Laser Engraving. I am now getting in much bigger lasering jobs. So down the road I may outgrow my current machines. Just got in my largest knife engraving job last week 150 pieces and the next day another order for 50. I have turned down many knife sharpening tool requests and I really only try to review items my audience may find useful. I did try to get Xtool to send me the F1 Ultra but my rep said she couldn't they also sent me an S1 20 Watt but said they were sending a 40 Watt. I already owned the 40 so I didn't mind and I also like that machine a lot in fact I just published my review today.comparing the 20W to the 40W. It seemed to me they only sent the Ultra to creators with over 20-25K followers. I purchased one since a Fiber for knife engraving should be great. I just hope it's not underpowered but we will see. Once I have the gear I need I hope to give review gear away to my followers or ask the companies for one to give away. I see Steve Makes Everything doing that more and more and I really like that idea of doing that and giving back to the audience.

      @@ValleyForged I would also not be surprised if they try to get certain people on staff I now see that some of the laser folks who have the most reviews are now calling themselves"xTool Reps" and not just independent reviewers. I wonder if that way they may be able to keep certain people from reviewing other brands and competition or if they will do that in the future.

      @@ALXSHARPEN Who knows where this will go. I hope to be at a point soon where I just buy the lasers I want, and concentrate on showing people how to start their business, and how to make things.

      @@ValleyForgedwell you are really good at both of those things I would just do your thing like Clack said and not worry about others. I appreciate your reviews and videos.

      Fairly certain it will. I don't have this machine anymore (still one of the best for sure). I would check a Facebook group and ask there to be sure.

    This video is precisely why I used your affiliate link when I picked up a new laser a few months ago. Keep up the good work, your viewers appreciate it! I've always been of the belief that the market will sort out the winners and losers, a large part in due to the professionalism (or lack thereof) of the company.

    This is a FRAUD.... purchased A70 Max from the link given by you but received only the roller stands. It's been more than a month now. I wrote emails to AtomStack but haven't received any reply.

    I appreciate your honesty. There is not a signle laser that is perfect. If a company is hurt by a negative comment, maybe they need to focus on that and research it. Positive or negative opinions need to be taken into consideration for what the laser will be used for. Keep up the honest reviews.

    This is a great video of your process of your cool wallet. I curious as to how you clean the soot off without a lot of smears and smudges. I will look for your file. Greg

      I really don't end up with much soot. I am guessing it is the type of leather I use and the right settings. The leather cleaner leaves no smears at all.
