Literally one of the best missions in the game. One of the reasons being is because of the song that plays during this mission, which is called Megalith ~Agnus Dei~, which became my all time favorite song in the Ace Combat franchise, due to how awesome, epic, and legendary it is! Not only that, but the soundtrack of Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies will never EVER get old! Yes, it's that fucking good!
I absolutely agree. It's this mission that truely made me an Ace Combat fan. I went from: "Hey, this is really good!" to "Oh my gosh, this is the best! Why haven't I played this series before?" The introduction to Megalith alone blew my mind. The music of this franchise is fantastic but 04 stands out the most to me. It really makes you feel like a hero and it helps that the ISAF are the least shady heroic faction depicted compared to the rest of the games (that I've played.)
