    I’ve recently been on a vegetarian diet and I used your recipe to not just make my first chickpea meal, but my very first curry. I only had green onions. So I mixed a bunch of that, and garlic at the beginning. And used cilantro at the end to give it that little boost. It was amazing. Each bite I take it tastes like the first. Autopsies me each time. You’ve helped me expand my Horizon of meals I could make with so little, cheap ingredients

    I don’t comment on videos ever but I just have to say that I made this and it was hands down the best chana masala I have ever had!! The instructions were so simple to follow and it has so much flavor which I loved. The only thing I did different was add 3 green chilies instead of one because I like more spice.

    I just made this for dinner tonight. Omg it was so good. Inused coconut oil and I didn't even need the juice from the chickpeas or extra water. I had 2 really juicy large tomatoes and I think that helped.

    Cooked this the other night and I can honestly say this is the best home-cooked chana masala I've ever tasted. My old recipe was ok, but nowhere close to this. This is about as close to a restaurant chana masala you're going to get at home. Brilliant.

    Just made this and it was absolutely amazing! The flavour is so much richer than the other videos I’ve watched. I may have tweaked it a little bit where I added a quarter of the oil and the whilstthe vegetables were cooking, I added coconut oil then and thought. It gave it such a unique flavour! Would 100% recommend this recipe✌🏽

    I am definitely making this today - after watching many versions, yours looks like the kinda consistency colour and level of spicy ness that will pair well with the spelt rotis I’m going to make too....I’ve just seen tuna curry in your repertoire so that too is saved and on my list 🙌🏾 please could you do more vegetable and fish dishes? I’m off to see what else I can find! Thank you for your efforts - may god continue to bless your hands!

      @megarensmusic 3 роки тому +2

      @@CookwithNabeela girrrrlll! Let me tell you!!! A-MAZING! Now, I’ve never been a chickpea kinda girl - but for health reasons I’ve done away with all meat (still having fish currently) for a while. This dish was so perfect. Filling, tasty (I put a little less chilli - 1/2 tsp) and with the spelt flour rotis I made for the first time, it really filled me up. My advice is don’t rush the onion, tomato phase, really let it cook down and then again once you add the garlic paste and spices - really let them cook. I admit - I cheated - I used tinned chickpeas🤦🏾‍♀️ because they’ve been in the cupboard for ages - just didn’t know what to do with them. I still cooked them for 45mins (a little longer actually). They didn’t break up or mush out and when the sauce reduced and the oil separated , I threw in that fresh coriander and 👌🏾! I will definitely be making this again as a good friend popped round and practically had half the pot!!🤣
      Thanks again - excellent recipe and easy to follow instructions. I’m now scrolling through to see what else I can make from your library. This was so good, I’m sure anything else I make will be just as good and delicious! Have a positive day and please be encouraged to continue to cook and post. Just lovely!🥰

    Why doesn't jeera go in with the spices earlier? Why at the end? At the end it doesn't have time to bloom in the oil and develop, right? A pinch of garam masala or kasoori methi at the end makes sense, but all the raw jeera?
