Great honest review guys, Im getting a little fed up seeing constant reviewers these days being sent free RC's of late. They have become massive shop windows for the manufacturers, It is so obvious these reviewers are pushing products in favour of the manufacturers. probably hoping to get more free RC's sent to them buy giving pretty glowing reviews on products. Of course every reveiwer that gets a free product points out that they are giving a good honest unbiased review even though they didn't pay for it. Keep up your great reviews guys & stay safe.
This is one of the reasons why I subbed to your channel because many people have different opinions for different Arrma RC's and your channel is the top notch honest and that's what I like about it. Keep it up!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for giving my the information others did not. Please continue doing you! I've purchased the vehicle already with no regrets. Now its time for the tinkering upgrades and improvements.
Once again AJ you deliver the goods.... You unbiased review of the FireTeam has helped me with my decision to add it to my collection .... with all the negatives you pointed out not withstanding .... I'm still ok with my decision to have one...... Your run footage showcased extreme bashing in my opinion ....but that doesn't apply to me because I'm one of those guys that does what I call terrain bashing where I just run the RC like I stole it on whatever terrain I find to do it on .... I don't do any big air jumps or stunts because honestly ....I don't have the skill set to do so yet... I'm still learning..... maybe some day you could do an instructional video on throttle control.... and what you need to do to make the RC do various things.....either way ....Thank You for what you bring to our hobby.....You're the Man!!!
This is the 1st real review that I've actually seen on this thing I just got one this week seeing as how it was on sale 1st 399 plus I had like $40 worth the credit so I got it under 400 taxs and all I think I'll be happy with it
AJ JAMS awesome and honest review. No RC car is perfect there are always pros and cons, you always bring up good points that I did not think about. If there is an issue you always give a solution for it. Keep up the good work my friend...
Oh sweet! AJ, I wanted to get the white one. I like the fact that it has bulkhead protection. It seems like a very strong car. Yes, you need to shim diffs before driving and inspect the car. Awesome! 👍
@@AJJAMStudios another vote for Team Corally. XTR 2022 or even the Sketer. but I know you prefer the bigger RCs that handle well. TC has made great strides in their 2nd versions where it took Arrma 3 to 4 versions. (Besides the Mojave. that’s been stellar since Day 1)
AJ, great review. I may still get one because I love the styling. and the tires are so intriguing. “Influencers” is putting it mildly. It’s starting to remind me of the term “used car salesman” Stay True to the RC Community. 💯🤟🙏
Agreed. As soon as a channel starts receiving RC’s before launch and for free, I unsubscribe and stop watching. It’s just not possible to be unbiased when it costs nothing and there is an incentive to keep the supplier happy for the next release. I was an Amazon Vine member for about 5 years. I remember having to check myself many times and ultimately stopped my membership because I found myself getting an inferior item I wouldn’t have purchased over a competitors item I would normally purchase, just because it was “free” (free is never actually free though).
Keep this rig on the ground / light jumps will be fine . Not a question Kraton / Talion the better jumpers . Grabbed one on this years HH Black Friday for $399 , now is a 10 out of 10 value !!!!
This was the deciding factor for me, I’d been waffling as to wether or not to buy this as my first. Seems to me, a couple bills more is a small price to pay to get the Kraton. Thanks, nice job.
As we usually say around here, if you pick the one that turns you on, you picked the right rig. We have friends that love the Fireteam simply for the military look of the thing, and they are not wrong either, because they got something that worked for them. I'm glad we could help, and I hope you really enjoy your choice. 😎👍
On the bright side, alot of parts on it are able to be upgraded, if an arm breaks you got exb or rpm arms, anything metal you have m2c or just bashitrc, since driveline and suspension are all kraton or mojave parts, same with chassis and chassis braces
First, you are the best reviewer. I hope Arrma, Traxxas, HPI, HoBao, Team Corally etc get that and start sending you cars to review! Of course honest reviews. About the Fireteam, I like it and I don't. The body I feel is too complex with all the parts. Many parts = many parts can break. The hand-break is a gimick, as I see it. A complete extra body is crazy expensive, Jennys RC sells it for near $180 USD. CRAZY! But I guess you could only buy what breaks, but some of the body parts are pretty expensive also. If Arrma release a Fireteam EXB roller, that would be interesting. The wheels looks good, test them on your Kraton and Talion 1/8 6S. 😀👍
Subscribed not long ago. Really enjoying the content. I just got in from running my xmaxx and outcast in -3(c) so I can appreciate running in the cold lol
Glad you guys have the white camo, I've always liked that myself. It's refreshing to hear an intelligent, informed discussion when evaluating these trucks. It serves a lot of "street cred" when you don't just get one straight from the marketing department. One question: is the chassis made out of 7075?
You always give a ton of useful feedback!! Now that these are on sale the value goes way up! Just looking into them because of the sale and seeing what will need to be upgraded. I thought the price was too high when they first came out for what you actually get in the box. Great review and run!!!
Keeping it real for yur viewers 👍 … some great points noted esp the multi mounting issue after running . Another reviewer had a similar report with the body not sitting right after a bash . I’m thinking carbon towers , carbon T2T brace and proper 7075 chassis braces on the EXB chassis might be in order 🤷♀️ Loved the review 👍👌👍 Say hello to Rob 😁
The idea of selling out for sponsors is repulsive to us. If we can't be honest about what we find, we won't post it. Thanks for seeing the truth of what we do here. We love the hobby, and do what we can to show others what they get when they purchase one of these machines. We show them our perspective and then, as always, they get to choose whether or not to spend their hard earned money. Thanks for the thumbs up 😎👍
You absolutely can set end points with the SLT3 transmitter. And in my experience it’s a good idea to do the before your first run. Makes the stock servo last longer. Just a little bit longer.. ha. 👍🏽
Thanks for the honest reviews! I wanted one of these when it first came out and now I think I’ll avoid it for now. Seems kinda problematic compared to the other ARRMA cars. It just went on sale $150.00 off the ARRMA fall sale. Now I’m kinda leaning towards one of the exb models as a few of them are on sale also.
Ive got two questions : can you fit those tires on talion ? And second - does that body help to keep electrics clean cause its such a tight fit ? That would be huge benefit for running into mud and stuff.
They do fit the Talion. And the body does, to some extent, help with debris deflection. However, it also keeps debris inside the truck too. I definitely think it is better than the Lexan bodies for this purpose. Don't forget the extra weight of the Fireteam body, weighing in at 1 pound more than the Talion body. Thanks for asking. 😎👍
AJ, do you think adding the EXB chassis braces will stiffen the RTR chassis and prevent it from bending? Thank you for the great work you and Rob do!!!
Some rigs absolutely scream for AVC, the Reeper is one of those cars. Without it the thing is almost uncontrollable. However, the Fireteam does control pretty good without it. That being said, I can see the advantages of having AVC installed in it, and perhaps we will do just that as a test video. Thanks for the comment. 😎👍
That looks like a classic case of: "the body is ugly and structurally unsound, so I'll buy a better looking one" I don't know who they were marketing that body shell towards, but i don't play with G.I. Joe's anymore. Transformers, that's a different story. 😮😂
I will say needing to include shims is bullshit. I had to shim my kraton on day one, not ok. I grabbed one of the fireteam rigs and swapped the body with a long bed Chevy before i even put a battery in. The original body doesn't look bad but kinda silly.
ARRMA should have released the 4S lineup or added to the 8S lineup instead of another of the same 6S chassis with a new body that looks toyish.. I guess it will appeal to a certain crowd. Team Corally’s models are becoming quite appealing lately while ARRMA cruises through another fiscal quarter. There are PLENTY of issues with existing models that could be addressed as well. The Team Corally Skeeter will hopefully set a new precedent with manufacturers releasing full RC models instead of 3/4 RCs with 1/4 “option” parts.
Corrally is looking good, in fact, we're planning on branching out to their brand to see what it is all about. Honestly, we've been avoiding them because they always seemed like cheap looking Arrmas, but the 2022 edition cars are looking killer. Thanks for the comment. 😎👍
I just bought one these on black Friday and it cost me $400. so, I'm thinking at that price its totally worth it. that's the only reason I bought cuz it was so low.
If you really want to dive deep into arrma you could send their "7075" to someone and see what it actually is. I'd kick in a few bucks to help pay the testing facility fees.
Excitement, adrenaline, appreciation for the spectacle of it all. We can fix anything we break so for us, the cost is worth it. When one of us hits a ramp just right and we capture it in slo-mo the playback makes it something we can't wait to do again, but, as always, everyone chooses how they wish to run their cars. Thanks for commenting. 😎👍
Sorry but most of the things you say about the fun and driving aspects are not true. This car is a beast in every way. Did you ever reviewed are car that you gave a 10/10?
