The showrunner are just playing her for that sweet sweet nostalgia otherwise, she'd be just one more annoying character

My one consistent complaint about Barry over the years has been he always makes these judgement calls about others not being allowed to go into battle because they're overly attached or emotional or whatever but he's constantly flying off the handle or letting his feelings blind him. Always feels hypocritically sanctimonious....
SAME! I wish this show would allow Barry to grow and see that a lot of the things he complains about when it comes to the other characters he does too. That’s what made me so upset about the Nora thing S5. He ALSO went to Thawne for help S2 after he discovered he killed his mom but he gets angry at Nora for the same thing...like it was so annoying. The consistency on this show is just ass.

I’m more upset at that writing. Barry would’ve understood but the writers just wanted drama. They always do that to Barry’s character. For drama they make him forget everything he’s done in the past.
Does anyone feel like they minimize Barry's experience all the time? He has one of the most sadistic origins in the DC universe and it's all because a guy was jealous of him. But every character either tells him to get over it or compares their situations when it's the furthest thing from the truth

Now with Bart here, shes more focused, toned down and quick with a pep talk, like Papa Joe and Iris. Bart seems to have the hyperness, quick to react/show off etc. He also has Barry's I'll risk it all for family/I gotta make the sacrifice play. Very cool to see this.
The way bart ran to his mom he's definitely a Mama's boy and Nora is a daddy's girl she's following both parent's footsteps Barry's footsteps of becoming a CSI and Iris's footsteps of becoming a Reporter ❤❤❤
I will say, the casting is top notch. He kinda looks like Barry and the actor does a great job at also seeming like Barry. Like the way he speaks and sounds really sells off that yes this is the son to the Barry Allen of this show. He's got the mannerisms down.

Now this is what I want out of the flash. Good writing and characters, and storytelling. I get sick of the inconsistency and some of the kind of annoying characters that end up putting Barry on the back burner.
I am still not a fan of the characters look from the suit and all, but the actor is pretty damn likeable and pulls off the part well. So I would rather have that any day of the week.
