Dc is obsessed with giving every character in the story the same powers as the hero. Pretty much every dc character these days have a team of diverse special needs kids with the same powers as the hero called the ***** family in the comics. That's why this happened in flash and suddenly everyone in arrow became god level with a bow overnight. Its in the comics...and it sucks there too. And yes...it is crap writing that waters everything down.

The Speed Force would look like Nora to Iris because that's the only way in which she was ever described by Barry. Likewise for Little Nora and Bart - they were likely introduced to the speed force by Barry. Also, since she'd technically looks like their grandmother, this would sort of track? I guess? In Jay's case, she's a doppelganger for his wife so that one does make sense, it just so happens Jay's wife is also a doppelganger for Barry's mom. All that said, I doubt the writers actually cared. they just didn't want to cast another actor lol

For those that don't know, in the old comics, the Flash Family Line even with the relative changes from the comics to the show, has always been established as Jay, Barry, Wally, Bart. With Jay being the father figure to Flash, but a grandfather or uncle figure to the younger generations like Wally and Bart.

I feel like Nora (Jr) was written to be like 17 but they cast somebody in their mid 30s. It's so weird that they cast somebody older than both Grant Gustin and Candice Patton and had her act like a teenager. It makes all of their interactions so strange. I have nothing against Jessica Parker Kennedy but they needed to write a more age appropriate character for her. I mean, having a time travelling daughter show up who is older than the Flash and more experienced than him could have been a really fun dynamic,

How does that confuse pipo. My concern would have been how did the spark come from in season 1 when Iris touched Barry when he was in comma? I thought that could be because she comes from the 30th century from the comics and could be developed in season 8.

Exacly! Remember in season 2 how Barry had to go back in time to get faster to beat Zoom while risking the timeline to change. Now its just “we’ll give you a boost”. They shove more random things into the plot that are too convenient which sticks out annoyingly well. The writers really wanted to go home early i guess.

I havent watched the Flash since Season 2-3 ish.
I think that guy who plays impulse nailed it.
He’s got the impulse character vibe in him.

Think about it. Jay who is a variant of Barry's father who is himself a variant of Barry(90s) is hitting on the speed force that looks like Barry's mother.
In other words Barry's mom was married to a man who is a variant of her son.

I feel like Nora (Jr) was written to be like 17 but they cast somebody in their mid 30s. It's so weird that they cast somebody older than both Grant Gustin and Candice Patton and had her act like a teenager. It makes all of their interactions so strange. I have nothing against Jessica Parker Kennedy but they needed to write a more age appropriate character for her. I mean, having a time travelling daughter show up who is older than the Flash and more experienced than him could have been a really fun dynamic,

How does that confuse pipo. My concern would have been how did the spark come from in season 1 when Iris touched Barry when he was in comma?
