@Thor Odinson lol, Benni did it at a lower bodyweight, no straps, no suit, no neoprene underbelt, no hitching. And the kicker is Benni opened with 455 kg that day in 2011 and wanted 488 for his second attempt but the bar couldn't hold more than 1015 lbs/ 461 kg so he settled for that.
He pulled 465kg at the 2016 Deadlift championships with a suit, but his 460 raw was a lot smoother. Bennie has stated in his videos before that he doesn't like suits, because he unfortunately just can't get the weight out of it that some can. That's a problem that I feel most people don't know is that a deadlift suit won't be a super suit right off the rip for everyone. It really is something you have to get used to. I have had my DL suit for almost exactly one year now, and I'm just now after a whole year of using it, finally making friends with it and feeling help from it, though it doesn't take 1000lbs off of your lift like most assholes who have never used one will say it does.
That 1015 raw pull is one of the best lifts of all time. He probably had 1030 in him. Those Ivanko Plates are also sick as hell. Thanks for the cool video, PGM
1:52, honestly they should do something like that. They should provide each athlete with a huge ass frying pan, and see how many times they can flip a 45 lb plate on the frying pan under 1 min.
My fav Benni moment was in one of Martins' videos. Dude's eating ice cream, Licis asks him, when are you doin strongman again? Benni's all look yo have you SEEN what I'm capable of at the things I love doing? Martins asks him, what do you like doing? There's an awkward pause, "eating ice cream" Benni says sheepishly lol. That moment kills me everytime
Benni's 460kg deadlift is for me the most impressive to this day. I think that the only guy that could possibly impress me as much or even more is Jamal Browner at this point, due to his body weight and the speed of his deadlifts
I'm one of those who watch but isn't subscribed. It's short meme vids, no need for feed. I watch a lot of strongman content so you will eventually pop up in my feed. Not really vids I want to know immediately more whenever, no offense just a real honest answer.
@@JackPGM yea two, make a spotlight or introduction of each athlete in wsm this year. Do series like the evolution of an athlete, create stories and series, this will make me subscribe can't speak for everyone
Benedikt Magnússon is the greatest deadlifter of all time.
Change my mind.
Jack PGM zydrunas zavickas
When it comes to deadlifting it goes #1 Benni, #2 Andy Bolton and then the rest
Adrian Pap what about Richard hawthorn and his 5x body weight deadlift
Can't change the truth
No need to, you are obviously right. 🙂
Benni's raw 1015lb dead lift is still the best in history. Also, quite meemable face...
Thor Odinson Thor’s wasn’t raw he had straps so imo bennis deadlift is still the world record imo
@Thor Odinson So how about multi ply half squats? Also more impressive?
@thor odinson glad you used the word actually, definitely makes you right...
Thor Odinson there’s a difference between raw and with a suit

Nobody:
Benni: *pulls more raw than with a deadlift suit*
He did not.
Umm no

@Liam Gade We still dont know how much Benni could pull with suit. We just know it wasnt 500.

He said it himself he doesn’t take lifting seriously but he does take ice cream seriously

Benni: me.
True statement that is.
Benni's hilarious, wish he'd had more recognition and money for his success
There is no reason to be alive if you cant do deadlift

Something tells me you're an Eskimo

Benni just comes off like such a benevolent guy.
Gotta love Benni. Such a great character. Another great video once again! Keep it up Boss! 👍
The pancake/deadlift edit is inspirational.
After the first lift he said ICELAND IS THE WORLDS BEST, I CAN DO ANYTHING
Man I'm so happy you're doing this, I love Benni
Your videos are thoroughly enjoyable.
If I ever have kids, I wanna hire Benni to come be Santa at my Christmas party.

His calves are insane
Did not see them til now

His deadlift just flys up
so true!
1:39 Benni is just pushing the weight down. Gravity is too slow for him.
Your videos are hilarious
The secret to unlimited mass and strength is ice cream apparently
Not to mention he has some of the biggest calves ever
May we see Vasyl Virastyuk in your future videos by any chance?
In the start: I can do anything, Iceland is the best in the world and I can do anything.
Lmao, expected "ZA WARUDO!" when Benni hit that lockout....
I’ll be honest, I thought this was the man of the small back’s channel
I think Benni has retired now, he lost a lot of weight , I hope to see him at the top of his game again
He is healthier now. No need to take so many drugs anymore, or carry that huge amount of fat.
Reminder “on”
This is great.lad🤣
Toffee Gang abit late but I'm here.
gorgeous beard
sexy smile
the sub vs not subbed watch times are hilarious
And now he is gone forever

Watch Baki, food wars, and maybe kengan ashura for meme inspiration. Baki has to be funny it’s got Sergio Olivia in it
Jo jo memes took over the world is official
What is he up to lately ? I knew he was getting injured over and over and lost tons of weight, can anyone please fill me in with his recent news ?
I think he just took a step back from the strain of high level competition.
This is just Built Burr

That’s fair. I’m struggling with thinking of ways to make longer videos without resorting to compilations of old videos. Any suggestions?
