No engine braking. No stall when hitting rear brake in midair. No stall when locking up back brake. No engine brake. No stall !!! Set it up to work well with manual clutch and anti-stall. Game changer.
Talked with the Rekluse guy's at the Florida round of the GNCC some years ago, they told me they had put one in John Dowd's endurocross 05 RM 250 but didn't offer one for my 06. Well thank God Suzuki used every single transmission part from the 05 in my 06. Some of the best money I have ever spent. 🙌
I agree with you im 61 my hands aren't what they use to be i put one on my FX350 and love it no more stalls can do anything i want to my bike alot more fun to ride now
I ran one for a few years and it helped me concentrate on the more technical aspects without worrying about stalling. Great if you have carpel tunnel or weak hand strength but after awhile I found I rode better without it.
There’s two downsides to them that are worth pointing out.
1. If you lock up the rear tire downhill it will freewheel until you blip the throttle again, a bit disconcerting if your use to engine braking or can’t get to your rear brake.
2. If you stall on a hill climb it will free wheel and often the front brake won’t be enough to stop from rolling backwards.

How would you stall on a hillclimb? I thought rekluses dont stall
@@geraltofrivia4651 Stall may of been the wrong word. If your forward momentum stops and you have to get the bike turned around on the hill it’s trickier with a rekluse. And allot of EFI bikes have tip over sensors so by the time you get your bike back up it’s freewheeling. Just my experience.
Just put one in my fe501s. At first I hated it because it would freewheel down hills and I lost my engine braking. Changed the springs to the lowest engagement rpm and I love it. Now it engine brakes pretty close to how it did with a manual clutch. I would consider myself an intermediate rider, I like tight single track trails and the rekluse makes me a significantly better rider. My buddies say I'm cheating and it's not a "real" bike now. I don't care, it's awesome. I don't think I'll own another bike without one. It makes trail riding significantly more fun imo
I think because I just ride recreationally I enjoy all the different mechanics of riding and enjoy the learning curve rather then worrying about being the fastest. Idk 🤷♂️
Nice post Mike, so I'm trying to dial in my rekluse on my 11' RMZ450 which is somewhat similar to your setup, anyway and I'm running the blue springs and It still stalls occasionally, so curious what springs your running on your setup?
I'm running 3 blue and 3 gold. The engagement feels nice for me. But there will be engine brake lost at low rpm with this setting.
I have a 13 kx450 I'm thinking about getting it.
I love mine.
I just get it for the clutch cover
My 2022 Beta 300 rr has a super easy pull with the new style diaphragm spring. No need for a slipper.
Rekluse is not a slipper.
1300.00 for Honda 450 rx. That is a crazy price for a clutch

Most pros use a rekluse clutch
No they don't. I am not aware of any pro racer using a recluse auto clutch.😂
Most pros run the cover so they can add a little extra oil I don’t think there’s many if any that run a true rekluse
Wrong and right… many pros use a Rekluse clutch. They make clutches that have better cooling capabilities and oil flow. They also have better clutch plates and fibers than oem.
Eli Tomac runs one. However, you’d be hard pressed to find a pro that use an auto clutch.
I’d love to hear their thoughts on them and see them ride with them and discuss the pros and cons.
