As one from Buganda, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book!. The setting was so relatable and she articulated cultural traditions so well. Watered down versions of some are still being carried out to this day, it was nice reading about it, captured by someone that actually understands it. I had a lot of “aaahh!” Moments about expressions that are currently used in everyday “Luganda” the language but didn’t know the origin of those expressions.
