excellent video thank u 🙏👍
I’m glad you like my video.
what is the interval recommended by cummins to change water-fuel separator?
I do it every time with fuel filter, fuel filter I change every time with oil change
@@1RedlineExpress do you see noticeable dirtiness when you change it?
@@cankofana not really , but 550k on it now and now , fuel system doesn’t have any issues and never had any issues.
Where can i get that tool to change the oil filter? Also whats the part # of the drain plug thanks in advance
Oil filter tool I got it from snap on sales rep . Drain plug you need to go to local freightliner tell them what kind of engine you have and they will give you right oil drain plug. There is a 4 types of drain plugs.
Is there a way to check my brake fluid level and add some if needed? My trucks brake started locking up for a second while excelerating?
It’s a air brake system , if you have air brake system , then you have bad chamber or slack adjuster . Maybe air leak.
Every 8k miles. This must be a city truck yes? All local driving?
I run 3 states , OR, WA, ID . If I used full synthetic oil, I would run probably 10k-12k miles on it.
at the miles that you have on this truck, how is the engine, is it strong or in soon need for major maintenance to engine?
it has 565470 , to be honest I don’t know how long this engine last, but so far it runs really good. I do maintenance every 8000 miles.
I pull four car trailer behind pulls really good.
I heard if you don’t abuse it and you do maintenance in time it will run up to 1 million no problem. U
@@1RedlineExpress very nice thank you I appreciate it
@@1RedlineExpressI’m looking at a 2009 m2 with almost 200k and I’m also planning on pulling a 3 car hauler. What kind of mileage are you getting hauling 3-4 cars also did you have any major repairs or emission system failures around the 200k mark?
What was the name brand and part number for that brake adjustment tools?
Lang Tools 4651 Automatic Slack Adjuster Release Tool and Wrench, One Size, Made in The USA. a.co/d/iuXqWnK

@@1RedlineExpress Thank you my friend. Trying to learn to do my own maintenance to save money
@@Shawn0829 please read description of the video. I add the list of the tool I was using . Plus you needs a grease gun with a good grease , water resistant grease.
@@1RedlineExpress thank you so much
@@Shawn0829 if you have any questions feel free to ask
I have one 2015 with 500 thousand miles too.Can you tell me what oil did you use?
Rotella t4
@@1RedlineExpress do you think t5 or t6 work well? I am looking for less frequent oil change.
@@cankofana yes t5 it’s totally fine to use . But I recommend to stay with same oil , but that’s my opinion .
Is this 4 inline or 6 ?
6
How many quarts?
I have Cummins 6.7l ISD it took 20 quarts
I switch from Mobile Delvac 15-40 to Rotella T4 15-40 , with delvac I have to add 1-2 quarts after 6k miles with rotella level stays the same till next oil change 8k miles .
Do you change the crank vent filter?
@@matheusserra8598 I believe you have to change them once in 300k . That’s what I was told by Cummins specialist .
Спасибо 👍🤝
Не за что :)🤝
How many quarts of oil did you use?
What??? You put 50-52 quarts of oil in that motor?! That’s 13 gallons of oil.
@@dalechristensen1804 little over 5 gallons
@@dalechristensen1804 I think I mess up lol I count the jars I have and my jars are 2.5 gallons sorry
@@dalechristensen1804 so sorry I miscount it’s a 20 quarts
