gotta love when Gaijin almost added this thing with AIM-9J's, god the community lost there shit over this

I am a primary Sweden player, even though it is pain but it is different and weird and I like it. The Saab is my favorite aircraft and my best, now yes it is trash but another thing it has on a mig15 or Sabre is energy control, it’s air brakes are decent and it accelerates very efficiently, and it’s roll is pretty good. Then also the biggest reason I do well with it is because it is trash so people expect it to be trash so it is easy to catch people off guard. Mig19s will still close you though
Yeah, I get a lot of reversals in the 105, partly because it's easy to get on its tail, but also the roll rate and energy control. Sometimes I feel like it can even turn, there has to be like a certain speed which it does. Anyways, reversal > aim9B in the back gets kills
It's super smooth to play for me, probably because it doesn't pull that well and keeps its energy
Also the 105 jsut looks great

the problem with this thing is that gajin removed the tracer rounds for it without giving it the systems that allowed it to use them
I mean one of the reasons why this thing has the flight characteristics of a brick is because apparently it is nearly 1 tonne heavier than it should be. This is why the Sk60b is so much more manoeuvrable.
RB24's are licence built AIM-9B's and the RB24J's are AIM-9P's... I think can't quite remember
There is also the difference that the G variant gets ballistic computer, making it a really good ground pounder.
This is also what it would be for in real life, as it is a trainer wich could in case of war be equipped with ordinance for light attack and anti helicopter duties.
4:17 This bracket sometimes fools you into thinking Aim-9B's are better than they actually are. While the missile itself is only able to pull 11G's with 9.9 degrees of fin deflection, and a 25 degree max seeker FOV (after launch), that Lim-5P was initially shot at from dead behind, and looked to be going ~800kmh while pulling in one direction dealing with a missile launched from a decent distance.
The reason I (and maybe others) are stubborn about the 105Ö being a good plane is because I use it as it is supposed to be used. As a CAS, in ground battles. No wonder you don't do well flying a fridge as a fighter plane :)
you never mentioned it is an absolute tank, nearly every game i rtb with 1 engine, no flaps, 1 pilot and my whole fuselage and wings shredded

I have only played te tech tree one and I think it is horrible yet I love it. I love the feeling of knowing the mig15 bis you beat with midgames had a betrer plane. I love the cannons and I love the looks.
No RB05 gameplay! That's the best part if the plane
How about taking on the F3H-2? It's in a rough spot right now with the 9.7-10.3 black hole, but it gets sparrows at 9.3, so the downtiers are quite fun
think we could get a video on the good ol 8.3 f9f-5? I played it out recently myself after not having touched it in.. forever and it was surprisingly enjoyable for how cancerous that br range is. Its predecessor the f9f-2 was a really fun jet way back when Korea was pretty much the only top tier map and the more powerful f9f-5 is certainly also powerful in the current matchmaking. It turns, its got glorious us 420 blazing cannons, quick and decent thrust to weight. Would recommend

I loved this thing in ground it’s guns are. Very strong and it use to be like a a-10 survivability wise

Oh and they also released this thing at 8.3 with RB-24Js, that was a great moment of backlash.
The ÖE in the Saab-105ÖE stands for the Austrian Military, hence used by Austrians

Aim futher out than you think the muzzle velocity isnt the best
2:49 this is a prime example why we urge players to not instantly jump to missile tier, this guy probably knows absolutely nothing about how missiles work, and he just fires when it turns red, and this is why people should REALLY learn how stuff works before getting into it
Premium SAAB also gets bullpup-like missiles, which the tech tree variant doesn't get, along with the Aim-9Bs at 8.3.

I am not really a fan of the Sweden TT, and only play it every few months at best but I do really like this plane. I used to take just 2x Aim9Bs on it, throw them out and head home. Objectively terrible but it was fun.
Not a Sweden fan, but this does look like a plane that could be deadly in the right hands. I usually play the squadron strike aircraft and have gotten very good at forcing and killing overshoots

As a Swedish person I only jets I even enjoy playing is the j35 and j32
10.3 attack viggen is great fun, almost the same engine performance as the top one, but really good matchmaker

It's not about performance
It can do ok in air battles
And the moment you see free map you can turn to ground pound. Mid tanks explode from.sneeze of 30mm and give a big chunk of rewards.
In a favorable games getting 20+ ground kills and 3000-4000 score is very normal
Have you tried the VB.10-02, I feel like it's very strong and it plays very differently from the other fighters.
I personally think it's pretty decent. I only played the TT version and i had my fun with it. Tho the SK60 is just so much better. Im a bug fan of the gunpods, the stealth only belts hit so hard and the ballistics are pretty good. The SK60 is pretty much the same but also gets NASTY missiles that are amazing anti bomber and CAS missiles.
I love giving some b29 a missile jumpscare when they are in a downtier.

The stupid thing about its turntime is that IRL, atleast the SAAB-105G, weighs about as much as the SK60B, and should turn about the same, but it just doesnt, cause gaijin is... incompetent sometimes
i mostly play sweden, and i say this plane is one of the best for tech tree grinding, and is better to start with than the draken

SAAB 105G is very nice for base bombing, you can farm quick cash, and it's by far the best plane on that battle ratting, the others are just impossible to play or very hard at least

It's basically the I-16 of low tier jets. Not outstanding performance in any regard, but it's a small and snappy little rat.
Im not a swe fanboy but i find the saab one of the best planes for me, best kd ratio great money grinder, air spawn i love it. But i get people that dont like it

I dont think the rb24s are the exact same as the 9bs, they seem to accelerate much faster, but less pull when burning
I think Sweden as a nation requires a far more different play style rather than just no braining BVR stuff (ussr main who has just stepped into sweden)
When I ever want to play a bad plane I just go arcade scine the flight model becomes cracked thats why i like arcade bad planes become good planes lel realistic is fun to
Call me crazy, but I would much rather have this thing and the 105G with Rb24J at like 9.7 as dedicated CAS/anti-CAS planes, I've seen people using them pretty effectively in tier 6-7 Ground battles. Also the fact that even years after they got introduced only the premium one gets the gunpod/sidewinder combo makes an artery in my brain go brrrrrrt

its main purpose is to be one of the single most toxic ground pounder in Tank RB. rb05a is such a stupid powerful missile.

This thing sucks at turning. However, only taking AIM-9Bs and hunting bombers is the only reliable way to get kills. I do this, then land and only take guns. This thing is fast.

Bully the ever living snot out of bombers and other jets with airspawn and then farm some ai jets and you will have good time I unlocked the whole tree with it.
Day 40 of asking to play the yak4 at 2.0
Start by a dive directly at q base that has another base clise to it ( 2 bases beside each other) 4 bombs for each
Go straight to your base killing some ai on the way with your 7.62
Some planes will come on your back going in a straigh line with minimal evading is recommended and try to hit their engines with ur turret since they have weak engines a damaged one will lead them to crash i return to the airfield with 2 bases with 4 to 5 ai kills and 1 or 2 planes after taking off i go for bases if left but if not i will focus on ground targets cuz aa is the bain of this plane so bombing airfields is not recommended
Bonus:do not forget to have smoke always on to piss the enemies 🤣

This plane is just showcase of why tech tree copy pasta with bombs that is missing the combo of gunpods + missiles

The non premium version is better and actually good because nowdays it can carry the pods and the 9bs first you use the 4 100lb bombs and rush a base (you can barely kill 1) then rtb then you take pods and 9bs then you just pick out idiots

The G variant gets a ballistic computer, helping a lot if you want to ground pund, wich is what it is best at.

Nope, you are wrong. The premium is bad, the Saab-105G is actually a great CAS plane for 8.3 GRB. This is NOT a fighter, it's a trainer/light attack plane.
