I actually really like simple layouts. They look uncluttered, clean and they are great for people who find bulllet journalling an initimidating task (like me!). It's as simple as planning can be-just make a to-do list. No stress.
I agree! It seems to me the bullet journal concept was originally a no-nonsense simple yet effective task management tool. I know there isn't a wrong or right way to do it. However, like you, I prefer simple layouts.
I agree. Every time I did something more complicated, I was actually procrastinating starting the tasks I was supposed to be planning :')

I have been struggling with my mental health this year which has made me very listless and forgetful. My psychologist recommended I write things down but I couldn’t find a way to do it that worked for me. Bullet journaling has been the answer! I feel much more in control and on top of things. I never would have discovered it without your videos, so thank you! ❤️
Actually the original bullet journal was more similar to this. All that artsy stuff came from others that wanted to make it an art venue.
actually a bullet journal is supposed to be adjusted to your needs so if someone uses their bullet journal as a place to be creative that's their choice
@@nmoomoo Of course it is their choice, but Rosario’s statement re: Ryder’s original concept is accurate. The original bullet journal is much more similar to this (although there are some deeper ideas in the original that are missing here). But absolutely, anyone can do anything they like with a blank book.
Thanks Marianna,. I've been overwhelmed by all the artsy crafty bullet journals that I see and am glad you've shown an alternative that gets the job done. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the artsy stuff and wish I could draw but prefer to use the bullet journal to get things done.
This video helped me A LOT; I was looking for a minimal bullet journal system that I knew I would be able to keep up with, and still be useful to me, and I found it!

I have the same simple layout. I actually write the day and date and then below it I skip a line and i write: WORK HOME STUDIES AND TO-DO and reminders
below those categories i have bullet points

I’m not really artistic so the fancy type of bullet journaling styles I usually see somewhat stresses me out after I admire their work. But yours really draws me back to what bullet journals are meant for. To help lessen the stress 💘

I love this layout! I like mine simple, too. It helps me focus on my tasks and goals. I've watched many UA-cam videos on bullet journaling and so far, yours is my favorite! There are so many outstanding bullet journals out there with great artwork. But for me, I like it simple and functional. Thank you for sharing your bullet journal with us.

It’s so good! I never actually thought about doing it like that but it would work perfectly because I always have a to-do list as well as my bullet journal and then my journal always seems so empty. This was perfect for today!! Thankyou

I like this layout. Currently taking up law, and I want a system where I can keep track of all my readings for all my subjects in a single notebook. That’s including the case digests and notes for my classes. Hopefully a simple bullet journal layout would help me do so. I plan to keep my work and personal journal separate from my school bujo.

Hey it's nice. I used to get overwhelmed looking at the bullet journals in youtube that I havent been able to make one due to that reason. I am not into doodling. I liked this a lot.

The original intention was to create each day as you go, and to have lists that include both “to do’s” but also events and notes (which is the why/reflective part of bullet journaling)

Fiquei curiosa quando mostraste a lista do apartamento, sei que podes não quer dizer (e não te estou, de maneira alguma a obrigar) mas quanto é que te custou no total decorá-lo ao teu gosto? Adorei todas as peças que mostraste e gostava imenso de faz o mesmo quando for para a universidade para o ano mas estou com medo porque já vi muitos quartos miseráveis com preços exurbitantes e isso não dá muito espaço para comforto (wiggle room) como tu deves saber (e bem melhor que eu).

My biggest problem is when I have to change something in the past and not being able to do so neatly. For example, when you had the indented list for your shots on September 22 (5:16) what if you decided you wanted to add to the list but didn't have room to do so? What would you do then?

Oktaviana Mutiara Sari the exceeed brand at Michael's is $5! It's by their office supplies and notebooks (my story had them up on top of the shelves)
there's also the artist loft dot journal for $5 (unless that's the one you meant)
I actually meant Exceed at WALMART, but that one felt great too lol

Bullet journaling can be done with any materials! So you can use a composition notebook or just any notebook you have lying around.

I'm really keen on drawing and I'm pretty good in it, but still creative way of doing bj is not for me. That's why I really appreciate your sight on planning system and bj: in one day thanks to them I understood I didn't need tons of stickers and pens and, most importantly, time to organize my life. It looks nice at videos and in tumblr, but it just distracts me and doesn't help at all.
I also want to say I enjoy your videos and find them very helpful (but most of time I am shy of my language skills and I can't make myself write anything, sorry!).
