Prince's father knew Cousin Joe Pleasent when they were young. Joe told me so many wild story it made my heart warm. That was in the mid 70s before I ever heard of Prince....lol

He is the ONE MAN BAND behind Jody Watleys 1987 debut. I have so much respect for this man. He is as good...maybe better than Prince. They dont make musicians like him anymore.

I like Andre too but better than Prince? Clearly not. Andre left the band to become big, but he didn't really get to the same level. Now, I'm not saying that commercial success is THE penultimate benchmark, but haven't you got eyes and ears too? Andre is great. Prince is the greatEST.

Yeah, I agree with cryptozoomauler in that Andre was good, but not like Prince. Prince was a hit making machine that penned all kinds of hits for other artists and all including Andre. When Andre's career was going nowhere, Prince gave him the hit song "Dance Electric" that he was using or going to use on another top album by Prince.
