BEST SONG on the album -- face, err, hands down.
It's probably objectively the best song on that project, at the end of the day. Should have been a bigger single. "The Chris Rock Show" performance of this is iconic. This man has so many moments of this magnitude that transpired throughout his illustrious career, you could write an encyclopedia on that information alone. It's got to be his most underrated song he's ever created, too. I swear. Maddening, man.

I listened almost every day in sept that Morris was featured in interviews, and this is my favorite story from that entire time period! It was funny AND clever for Prince to take a negative and turn it into a purple positive.
This is one of my favorite songs that has gotten me through some brutal times. I love the story, Morris, it makes Face Down all the sweeter and badass. 🙌😂💜

I would have been the same! How can you say shit about the Gold Experience? One of my favourite albums of his. In my opinion its as much a masterpiece as Purple Rain, maybe even better! I love the stories from Morris Hayes 💟 he tells such great stories and always respectful of Prince and acknowledging his genius 💜 Love Face Down and its message .... yeah i'll lay face down and you can kiss my butt! My feelings exactly when people disrespect Prince. The video was very clever also...The man was THE BEST! End of story. Miss him so very much 😔 Music and the world went very dark when he passed. Wish we could all pray and he would come back and it was all a very bad dream! I am still mourning x

Man, The Gold Experience is an amazing album. I ain't gonna lie about having some issues with some of Prince's later stuff, but not with that one. Shhhh!, I Hate U, My Name Is Prince, Woman, all genius!
