When he said he just wanted to see someone who looks like him. That was so sad 😞 Everyone deserves just to KNOW who they belong to and where they come from
Omg. I play with this guy at my church. I’m the guitarist. This is mind boggling. He is an AMAZING PIANIST and even more so quite the gentleman. His family is a awesome.
Watched from Accra Ghana. THANK GOD FOR GENEOLOGY AM really happy for this man and thanks for this helpful Stepdaughter. I wish them forever happiness in all the families.
Yep. Brought me to tears. He had a negative childhood, but rose above it and became a kind, loving man. Now he can get to know all of his kin and build those relationships. Bless them.
😢 had me crying i salute 🫡 that step daughter for going the extra mile and stepping up for her stepdad cause she knew what his heart needed and helped him get that closure so bitter sweet
The family members know in their hearts that he is their brother, they just don’t want to accept the painful idea that their mother actually secretly gave birth to a child that she abandoned in a supermarket. No one would want to believe that about their own mother, but just as James said, DNA does not lie. He’s your brother! I just pray they will accept him, and love him.
Amen,Well said and I'm so happy that his sister Chantell never doubted that He was her brother. I'm glad that he has closure on both sides of his family. Great and emotional ending. 🙏🏼
I'm in the same boat DNA doesn't lie, 56yrs DNA point me to my family and they still deny me , few of my 2nd cuz accept me all i want to know who birth me
What a testimony, he prayed for it and God made him wait until he was 59 for the prayer to come through. Wow, just goes to show that God’s timing is perfect 😭🙏🏾
Id love an update of him with his mothers side.. that was just so beautiful.. thank God for the most awesome stepdaughter… shes amazing for even thinking & taking the steps for closure for him. Says a lot about her & about him too. He had to be great father for her to impact him in this beautiful way. Wife gotsta be amazing too to raise such a daughter
@@RevJWash oh wow! Ty for the update! Sometimes the truth is too hard to face for some, but God hasn’t turned his back on you & that’s all that matters. Im glad that you have developed “God ordained” relationships, as some of them could be God’s way of shielding you from it to protect you. So Stay encouraged & ty for sharing your story with us. 🙏🏽
If this story doesn't touch your heart you're heartless... I thank God this gentleman and sweet lady were united. What a special "daughter " God has given to him. I'm still crying but I'll assure you it's happy tears! Thanks so much for airing this story.
Karamo this is my most favorite segment. I think foster children are probably as a group are often the most mistreated and traumatized. Most children are in the system not because of anything they've done wrong. They are in situations that they didn't cause and most of the time they don't feel like they belong anywhere There needs to be more emphasis on this growing issue. Helping people find their family and where they come from is one of the most important priorities. Everyone deserves to know where they come from. I am thankful for the Foster parents and Adoptive parents who cherish these children it is very important to point that out. This episode reminded me to be grateful of where I come from even with the challenges. I at least know who my parents are. Thank you for choosing this subject.
Thank you for your comments. You are 100 percent right and kids in the system are left to figure this mess out after they are abandoned . A very dark place for them. I worked in DCFS Illinois and I was deeply affected by what I saw and what I fought for. Social workers become desensitized to what they saw and that bothered me. I had to understand they had to because they were affected mentally, emotionally and😢 traumatized by it. What hurts most is the lack of resources and families that can take them in. Many social workers adopt some of the children My life was full and I did not have the time to devote to another child. So I mentored older young men to try and break down the hate, disappointment, and lack of trust they had for adults. You have to be 100 committed because another heartbreak can literally kill them emotionally. Salute to Social Workers and mentors.
So sad and exciting at the same time. Such a great family. The daughter was brilliant, father seems so genuine, and the sister never doubted him. So happy for them 🥺♥️
So heartwarming to hear his step-daughter talk about how great of a dad he is, despite never having one himself. He really turned his life around after a such a tumultuous childhood. God bless!
This man is such a treasure🥹 people like him and his gorgeous daughter give me hope for humanity. They just all seem like the kindest people. And you can tell he put in real work to heal from his childhood and become a genuinely good person. He deserves to finally have his family. I’m so happy for all of them 😭😭😭😭
I’m so glad that God designed genealogy! What a statement !! This is an incredibly intelligent and well rounded family the daughters letting God use her for HIS greater good
Omgosh this was so incredibly heartwarming. I am so so happy he has found his family. God is so amazing. Thank you Karamo for making this all possible ❤️❤️
This made me feel some type of way. I found my 2 brothers after 33 years through Omni Trace. I definitely can relate. I didn't feel complete until I found them. God Is Good.
You all had me crying. I too have always felt like something is missing and I believe my life would have been "happier", had I known them. I've always felt like a fish out of water on this side. Hopefully one day before I die I am able to meet my father's side of the family. Tried for years and nothing. However, my DNA was done, so it is out there. Blessings to you all.
I cried this entire episode 🥺 I am so happy he found his people ❤ and to the Daughter, God bless you for putting this into motion. They are very lucky to have this man in their lives! 🥰
First time I met my younger sister from my bio dad was at his mothers funeral, I had no relationship with these ppl - everyone was coming to me thinking I was her….we look so much alike!!! Years later, I met my older sister from him - we have so many similarities too!
I cried so much with them, he went through a lot, he deserves to know his family especially someone like him who loves family , thank you for creating this opportunity Karamo,

This is such a blessing , i knew who my father was but he committed adultery on my mom i found out about my other brothers and sisters when me and my sister was in high school , so i can understand what this family's going through .😥
I met James when I was 19 in Cleveland during a play we were in. He definitely exudes that fatherly love and guidance. So glad this was in place for him. He deserves 💛
Such a wonderful daughter who made sure he is happy by looking for his family. Rejections of own family is evil …his other sisters need to apologies and hug him. His daughter God bless her …she can’t be called stepdaughter she is his daughter and an amazing human
I’m so happy for them and especially him cause he had to grow up without feeling loved and put through foster homes. He has a wonderful wife, kids, sister and brother and I hope the rest of them embrace him as his sister and brother has. So happy for them
OMG, they need to stop all that crying, because they making me cry right along with them. I'm so happy that James was able to find his family, and fill that large hole he had in his heart. Karamo this was an amazing story. 🥰🥰
I'm happy he beat foster care. Im glad he chose himself. He chose happiness. Became a great man and was able to gain his original family and more love.
AMEN....thats how you turn your trials and trauma into a testimony. Dont allow tour circumstances to dictate your future, define who you are or set your value...you are worthy...❤❤❤
This outcome was great but I wonder why did his mom hide him and let him go through Foster care but yet kept her other children this man had years of suffering well now he doesn't have to suffer anymore ❤
BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL! I had 4 full siblings, 2 half. Watching shows like this make me realize how blessed we were to know one another. There are only 3 of us left now. My younger sister flew across the country yesterday to take care of me after surgery this week. I am so blessed! Congratulations to that man on finding his lost family. God bless us all!❤❤
Sir, you are a victim. And a survivor. Please don't diminish what happened to you. People use "victim" as a dirty word. It's an accurate word. Much love to you.
This is great. Life turned around. Yes, the past was so difficult and unfair, but God cares. We are His creation. In Jeremiah 31:13 the Bible says "I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow." I am so blessed to watch this reunion today.
