Yay so excited for this one! My almost 3 year old son loves your videos and the first ornament video is his favorite. Will definitely be ordering him one ❤️
Yes these have to be fired! This is pottery clay so it's incredibly fragile if not fired! You can make ornaments out of air dry or oven bake polymer clay and use paint if you don't have a kiln or can't access one!
Ok there's a few crucial steps that I have found to not having them curl (theres always a select few that will slightly warp but I would say I have had a 98% success rate using these tips): - Cut out your ornament shapes once you let your slab dry a little under a wooden board - After you cut your shapes, do not touch them or try to move them, let them dry once again under a wooden board/plastic and only move the ornaments when they release themselves from the wood. Basically, you should be able to pick up the ornaments without them sticking, bending, or losing their shape. If you pick them up and have to pry them off of the wood, they will bend in the kiln. - After you've decorated let them dry once again under some plastic until they're almost bone dry, then remove the plastic and let them fully dry out
These ornaments are available to shop on hanaceramics.com

These are so adorable!!! Quick question, do you have to fire them or can they be done if you want them rustic looking?

Did you paint them with underglaze?
Love these ❤
Why no glaze ?
I love the matte finish and look of just the fired underglazes!
Are does normal paper clips ?
The wire is specialty high temperature wire! I got mine pre-bent on amazon! You don't want to use normal metal because that'll melt!
@@HanaCeramics ah 🤔, anyways keep up the good work Hannah
How long do you let your slab dry before carving? I’m having trouble figuring that out
Usually when they're on the harder side of leather hard!
