" Hola, this is Chef Juan..."
That line was amazing.
I heard Chef Wan. Also a famous chef.
* come home from school, make a snack and a cup of tea, sit down and watch chef john
Make sure you have enough limes for the margaritas ... if you don't screw the salsa LOL died laughing when he said that XD OMG love your videos
LIKE OMG..
I live in Brazil and we don't have this stuff readily at the supermarket, so I finally made this because there's no cooking involved. LOVING IT! Thanks so much!
Been watching you since I was young, you gave me the inspiration to start my culinary journey, thank you!!! Love your humor, voice everything! It's gets me through life !!
I blended it in my blender and turned it into a thick sauce. And you know what? It's amazing! :)
Try it again, but just chop them and then mix the ingredients in a bowl. Blending all of these like you did I'm sure would be awesome on tacos.
You can use a blender but best with PULSE mode so you can get exactly the consistency you desire
Magnifica salsa! Gracias Chef Juan!!
Made this today with some homemade enchiladas for a day after cinco de mayo party. Absolutely amazing as a salsa on chips, as well as a garnish for the enchiladas. Thanks Chef John :)
it's called "Pico de Gallo" or "Salsa Mexicana" too, because it has the red, white and green of the flag...very good and practical sauce
Sort of. But Pico De Gallo traditionally doesn't have oregano, mint or garlic.
@@thetoddsmith actually pico de gallo isn't the name of the pico de gallo🤔. A secret🤭 pico de gallo is the method of cutting the vegetables or fruits. In Mexico we call pico de gallo to any salsa or fruit salad chopped in the size for a roster peak.
I saw many salsa recipes, yours is definitely a winner
I make mine exactly the same except I have never tried it with sugar or mint! But I'm going to be mixing a big batch for the game this weekend and since I tried growing mint this year I'm going to give it a try! Never heard of mint in salsa but I'm going to try it! Thank you for all your wonderful videos, I enjoy the so much and have tried and kept many of your recipe suggestions !
I love this salsa! Thanks for your recipe!!

Oh Chef John! You read my mind! EXACTLY what I was looking for (just wish I woulda seen it 12 hrs ago, aka before I went to the store).
All time fav UA-cam chef!
Chirmol, Chirimol or Chirmol is how we call this salsa in Central America. It is a must have with carne asada. It is my favorite.
Looks Good Chef...
If a professional takes 12 minutes... HOW LONG WILL I TAKE O.o
12 minutes........ITS A SERRATED STEAK KNIFE AND A CEHRRY TOMATO..... for LORDS SAKE MAN. Its not a Wellington
This is awesome... put it over an eggs benny . Instead of English muffin use half an avocado, diced up bacon, poached egg, hollandais. And and nice helping of this right on top! Awesome thanks chef john
Very good ! Thanks!
awesome
amazing as always chef john
My word, what a sharp knife
I love you Chef Juan!!♥♥ You are the best :)
LOVELY and mouthwatering.....the garlic is a GREAT tip...PLEASE rinse hands in lime juice when handling chili peppers it offsets the burning on fingertips(NEVER rub eyes after chopping chili)👍 LOVE the mint in salsa....hint of mint LOL
Haha you are so funny! I tried making it and it turned out so well... Thanks for sharing!
My mom used to make tons of this when I was growing up. Of course she called it "vinagrete" but who cares? 'Cause it's delicious!!!
My mom calls it "chutney." Still delicious!
Hi Chef John, i'm a fan of Brazil, here we do this Salsa to eat with barbecue, but we don't put the mint, and we add a little bit of vinegar and olive oil. I'm always enjoy your recipes...
Man, you post recipes faster than anyone can eat. WOW
I'm drooling....
Try this hot salsa recipe
- 2 or 3 serrano peppers, 2 or 3 jalapeno peppers, 2 or 3 Habanero peppers and 2 or 3 Red peppers
- 1 medium-large white onion
- 1 handful of cilantro
- 5 or 6 Roma tomatoes
- 1 lime
- 1 head of garlic
... That's a lot of garlic.
It indeed is...
I love the way Chef John says salsa......... salza :-)
I always use grape tomatoes in my salsa. They are perfect in size and flavor.
This is amazin
I pronounce it salza because it's more festive.
Me too.
I pronounce it Delicious 😋
Your cherry tomato tip gave me an idea. Thanks Chef!
Totally agree with that note on the oregano. Dry has a musty essence to it, and fresh is kind of spicy.
My mouth is Watery
just about to go to sleep and here you go putting a video up
I Love You Chef John! You're my inspiration for culinary school!!
AWWW YEAH. I am the only one who tried this before the amount came out? And kinda did not fail? :)
Yum, yum!
