True for almost anything you can use as dip. And even more if we're talking about foreign food, tostitos and co. put in sweet peppers and white onions and the tomatoes are basically liquid, even the hotter ones are just added hotsauce and not real jalapenos (because white tummies cant take it).

@i_fuze_hostages6 it doesn't "hold flavor." The only reason it's been done like this for centuries is because industrial machines haven't been around as long, though it does retain heat. Point is, if you want to make salsa, or pretty much anything that needs to be grinded, you don't need a mortar and pestle. You can get a food grinder that does a good if not better job

@@jumpingsloth3963This recipe is classic, easy but spicy as hell. I love to do this sauce
      - 6 to 12 serranos (depending on how much you would like it to be hot)
      - ¼ White onion
      - 2 garlics clove
Fried everything with a bit of oil until the onion and serranos become soft (you can tell when the serranos turn into a different kind of green). Put it in the blender, add a bit less than a half spoon of salt, add a little bit more of oil and water, blend it and it's done
Thanks to the oil it will be like a cream texture, it will have a beautiful green color and it will be so, so spicy, perfect for meat and pretty much everything

Hey there! I like making salsa at home, too. Here's a recipe I really enjoy. 2 guallio chilies, 20 chilies de arbor, 6 tomatoes, half a white onion, and six cloves of garlic. The chilies I buy are dried, so I boil everything together in a large pot until the tomatoes blanch, the skin peels. Then I blend and season to taste. I usually do a tablespoon, each of salt, pepper, and cumin.

In India, we call it "bharta". We mostly make this from roasting Brinjal directly on stove then cool it then peel the skin and then mash it with bare clean hands. It's superb. Also sometimes with potato or tomato or mix with chopped onions.

It’s very similar to slata mechouia from Tunisia too, I love Maghrebi cuisine I brought back so much of the spices and some ingredients that would be hard to find at home so I could keep recreating dishes, or at least have some harissa and olive oil to dip bread into lol

Nah, just one chili? And it's Jalapeño? Usually when making salsa we use around 3-4 serrano chilies for every 2 roma tomatoes.
Y eso es sin ponerle chiles de arbol! Así se hace picoso la salsa!
Either way, esta reseta se mira riquisima!
