11/19/2023 -- New Bridge Landing - The Morning Battle

The Battle of New Bridge Landing occurred on November 20, 1776. Washington and his troops were fleeing, having narrowly escaped from Fort Lee. This bridge across the Hackensack River at New Bridge Landing was the nearest and only available on. Washington's troops had to get there and across before the Crown Forces cut them off.
