Thank you for sharing.I use folk art spray sometimes. I don’t know if I want to use paint,pastels, etc…but I do have to have a pencil to paper upon waking up every day. It’s like I can’t wait to get started or something. I’m just a beginner but I love drawing whether I’m good at it or not haha

Again, I know this is old but I'm just getting back into trying pastels again, chalk and oil and I just found out that silicone clay shaping tools are great for blending and smoothing oil pastels AND I just found them CHEAP on Shein, 2 bucks for 4 tools I think is what I ordered....don't quote me. I don't get anything I just like sharing good deals if I find one. They also have a number of other tools for cheap if you look around. I have oodles of time, little $$ so I don't mind "screen shopping". 😁

Thank you for the tip. I have tried pastels and I want to create a free hand painting, but I wind up with a mess. I’ll share back: chalk pastels-I took a sheet of sandpaper 600 grit and put a layer of watercolor ground (clear)on it and I let it dry and I was surprised at how much better it worked. I need some fixative for stabilization. I went to the store but I didn’t know what to ask for.Thank you again for your help.
First time that I have left a comment here, but just wanted to say hope you and your family feel better. And I love watching your videos, I love to draw but that's all I do since my husband passed away 20 months ago just can't afford art supplies but I do use any paper that I get my hands on to draw. Thanks for all the great videos.

Yes they will run off if not sealed. I use mod podge but they sell sprays specifically for pastels
