The 'Joker' Sting was a great way to utilise Steve's strengths while camouflaging that his better days were behind him (was never that keen on seeing him wrestle in a t-shirt) he was way more relaxed and playful with that gimmick. 🙂

I think there was nothing wrong with Joker Sting. I really liked that gimmick. The main reason why some didn't like it was because Joker is a much more known character than the Crow, so they were essentially too familiar with the source material.

Sting made only a handful of appearances in TNA in 2003, then he made 1 appearance in 2004. He didn't wrestle at all in 2005 but officially signed with TNA later that year. & he left in January of 2014. So technically he really didn't work there 11 years. & giving his sabbaticals 8 years at most. Sting added legitimacy to TNA & he was the catalyst for Christian & Kurt Angle amongst others coming in

I think wrestling rankings and keeping win loss records is ok, as long as it only counts for tv matches, excluding tag teams, example if aj styles is on a singles run and is 8-0, if he moves to a random tag match, it doesn't count against him if he loses that match. It also is cool because you don't get random guys stuck together. If your in a tag team, you basically stay there, until you break off and run solo, or vice versa.

Ive been a big fan of wrestling for 35 years. I had known of it at 7 or eight, but 10 is when sh*t got real. Flair vs Sting COTC #1.
I try to be neutral about Russo and Cornette. Or Eric and Cornette, or Bill Watts and Cornette, or Paul E. and Cornette, or everyone except WWE and Cornette.
    I got sidetracked.
When it comes to Russo's influence on the Attitude Era, I get confused.
Russo succeeded as a writer, AND ONLY as a writer, once he got promoted to Vince's bottom bitch.
Has Russo delivered anything good since he left the Fed?
    Thats a sincere question.
It took the evolution of a company that had put a straw in the ground next to every territory in the Lower 48 and slurped that mthrfckr until all that remained was sadness and tumbleweeds.
The conception is, adding Russo to the braintrust powered up WWF to create the Attitude Era.
Now it seems Russo would diarrhea an idea and Vince with his braintrust would salvage whatever portion was the least insane and turn it into pure uncut raw heroin that is still surfing through my veins to this very day.
    OHHH WHAT A RUSH!!!
    RIP Hawk.
    Sorry for my length.
My wife tells me its a problem. 😎

After Crow Sting had that Starcade match, im not sure if was the next night on Nitro, he and Hulk were in the ring. Tons of backstage people separated them.
Sting looks at Hulk, close to the camera, and in the most deadpan lowkey voice he says, "You're a dead man".
