Best $1 boxes to look through are cards from the 90s into the early 2000s. The newer collectors have no clue about them and don't look through them. I regularly find $20 to $100 cards in $1 bins. Best one was a Shaquille O'Neal late 90s linchpins insert. Sold it for over $200
Nice!!
@@SportsCardInvestor I really hope you respond, but I have a sick CJ Stroud card that I would give to you around 50 under comps it is a Don Ross clearly blue rc /99
@@tomandgronkforever4663we might could work something out
@@tomandgronkforever4663 How much do you want for it?
3:16, Jam master card, Geoff had the big head. too funny
He's doing this to show kids how to find some value in the hobby! The steps they can take to work up to the bigger cards they want.
This was my favorite episode! More of these please.
I like seeing a lot of those 90s basketball cards. Awesome 👌
You can tell Geoff hasnt been in the game very long. I remember ripping a lot of these cards out of packs from my LCS. Brings back memories.
I love finding $1 cards that include an actual piece of silver in the design because generally just the silver alone is a deal 😉
I’m a Steve McNair collector so I’m glad to see McNair got some card love in this video 🙌🏼
Nothing better then the 90’s!
OMG THE NBA box for $5 is fire!!!
What your looking for is rare and really time consuming to do at a card show trying to riffle through the dollar bins they know they brought to that show 😂
What a cool video Geoff and very nostalgic. I started collecting in the early 90's at school and still have almost every card from the last 30 years as I rarely sell anything, and this was like a trip down memory lane seeing the old styles and how good they were compared to today's inserts (not all are bad). It also reminded me of the hidden treasures I forgot about since putting more focus on current players. Might be time to dig out the card boxes and share them back into the world being now 40 years old, maybe I need a boat instead 😁
6:59 he’s wrong for doing what he did😂
Tons of fun as always. Like you said “trip down memory lane!!”
That big head spot was funny😂😂😂
The amount of hate Geoff gets in the comments is crazy to me. I understand not loving the idea that a rich UA-camr negotiates for sports cards but it’s part of the hobby! For me I am unable to go to card shows often and this allows me to almost experience one virtually. Thanks for all you put out Geoff.
Im with you i dont get all the hate the content is enjoyable to watch i enjoy it. I jever get to a card show even though id love too
Exactly. He is a content creator that is showing how you can find deals and how to negotiate.
The problem is, we aren't able to get deals like he does because we are not content creators. If he just wouldn't act like everyone has the same experience as him at card shows, we wouldn't leave hate.
3:13 big head lol 😂😂😂
Crazy seeing old school basketball I have in boxes in my attic. Thank u. Great trip down memory lane
Love seeing the old skool cards
Love the content Jeff great job to the team
Just pay him the $10 man why offer $8 😢
Great job from Texas. Wish we would have run into you at the show. Good times!
Always the best vibes! Keep up the amazing work sir
So cool man. The inserts now days look like trash compared to the stuff from the 90s. Looks like you had a great time searching through those. The 90s basketball inserts want ever be topped
I love the 90's inserts😎👍I got super lucky finding some low numbers & autos of Jared McCain RC don't be shocked when he appears on the top 5 very soon. 🤑💯
Looking forward to getting some of those cards.. great video.!! Be safe see ya in Atlanta when you get home...
At 13:10 topps black its called a "parallel not a refractor
Brandon Cooks…to 99…Brandon Cooks…😂😂😂
I said the same thing lmao
I thought Geoff said this on purpose lmaoo just a coincidence??
Came here to make this joke. Definitely on purpose by Geoff.
10:02 look up Joe Adams punt return against Tennessee. Craziest punt return lol
Awesome! I love your videos!
Great pickups!
5:12 whats going on is, he is about to eat that box of cards
😭
That chair holding on for dear life!
Love the edits on recent vids 🤣
The dealers see Geoff come in, know he drops big bucks on cards, and then see him make a bee-line for the dollar bins.
That was a fun will be there on what not whenever these cards come
i have a ton of 90's basketball if you're interested. did you ever do the 90's bball night like you mentioned in this video? ty
I actually just came across alot of sport cards from the 90s and 86 and 87 some are a little beat up but theres probably 1000s of cards
Sean Elliott on the Back of the Grant Hill Top Crop
Marshawn is sick as a Seahawks fan lol
Great video thanks for sharing
The back of the cards have a real Sage Hit vibe🤮
Sheesh my walmart always only has a few Wild card boxes left and maybe a 22-23 NBA Hoops box 😂 good restock catch. Hmm ill guess GB wins 27-10
They are dollar cards but when you run them on whatnot it's not a dollar anymore because of shipping
Sets today have lost some of that feel. They just stamp a number on it now, and change the color. Love the older stuff.
Cooks to 99!!
I wonder how many people will get that reference 😂😂😂
Love the content and hobby, but Geoff is insufferable.
My man, when you got to that Nique Jam masters card... 😂
I’d feel so cringe if I was the camera guy
I think that's just you and your insecurities speaking 😁
@ probably
You need to grab EVERY Kobe card - alot of old insterts are low pop 10s and worth in 9s
Man i want that Ocho patch card
It’s all in Dallas cuz the big hits leave thru the backdoor of QC packaging.
5 minute gangggg
Did you find any Desmond Ridder or Lonzo Ball rookie cards in the $1 bin?
I bet they were in there!
joe adams went to arkansas! he was a stud!
I appreciate the effort that Geoff puts in, but I personally get annoyed that he just continually pumps content out there as if he’s been some sort of long term ambassador of the hobby. He’s really going out of his way trying to be the face of the hobby and I just don’t find him to be a great representative.
He got sick of the $1 cards and bought $5 cards @ mkt value because he was blinded by the shine. I was going to like the video, but not much baseball.
Why can’t they do those kind of cards now. Great video.
this guy is SO ANNOYING calling regular jersey cards "Patches" and calling that topps black #/500 a refractor.
them kobes 😮i would have been all over those.
“What do I do with my hands…”
Like you need to do this 😂
I get it, it's nostalgia and fun digging through that era and seeing those players.
He has like the biggest or second biggest shop in the world now so now he does
It's a great video!
Haters cant seach, that's why they cry in comments.😅. Nice Video :)
They still haven't caught those thieves, wasn't that in Dallas? That James, Kobe, Jordan auto is nice.
Thats crazy I forgot about that I don’t understand how they couldn’t track their license plates
I don't know, they probably live in another state. I think I might have seen the one that took the Zion case where I live in NC but could be wrong.
Asking him to do $8 for 10 dollar cards and then paying with a $10 bill is crazy work and so rude, especially when you’re a millionaire and literally recording content with them in it and taking forever to draw out an $8 transaction. You didn’t need him to fish you those 2 one dollar bills In change Geoff… cmon man
You clearly don’t know how sports card show work. Geoff is completely in the right for asking and negotiating with the dealer. In fact most dealers fully expect to get offers on most cards it is how the sports card world works
Have you ever been to a card show? Genuinely? Deals like $8 for 10 cards in a dollar bin are some of the most common in card show history.
The merchant can always say "No". Whether rich or poor, there's nothing wrong with bartering.
Horrible logic. This dudes daily overhead cost just to function and be as successful he is in the six figures + everyday. He buys hundreds and hundreds of cars every single day and dollar cards or not he’s taking down his overhead by negotiating, few dealers expect to get actual sticker/ getting bulk off their hands that they don’t find valuable for their business model is often a win win. Also a ton of young kids/ people just getting into the hobby and negotiating isn’t as common today so this is teaching new people into the hobby on how to negotiate.
Geoff. Is. A. Tool.
Whwn you sell cards like this do you pay Tax on it? And if you do how do you do it?
hey all.
Shoulda took all the 2009 orange refractors
Geoff, did you make good deals?
"Its fun 🤓"
Do you have Rnoldo
What’s up man
Geoff starts looking through value boxes and shows how he has no idea what is/isn’t a good deal. He only really knows modern high end cards…
If we all had the money for it, who wouldn’t be into high end
I'm not a big fan of the guy,but he got those cards for 4.50 each... And I beat you on what not he'll get anywhere from $5 to $20.00... not to mention the cards he's gonna pick out to get graded... I think he's gonna make a few dollars...
Haters going to hate
@@PedroSimoes-sp7ln 100% correct. I thought he was spot on with how he was selecting and should do well 😁
After you build your sports card empire and create a game changing app, I can’t wait to see what dollar bin finds you snag in your video!!
Brandon cooks to /99 ..iykyk
Got smoked on that $5 box, $900 for $500 in cards wow
$1,000 in cards
More like $900 for $200 worth of cards. I'm sure that dealer was happy to dump all that crap on an "investor"
Wish i could. All i find is $0.50 cent cards.
Dude can you leave the dollar boxes for us non-millionaires?
Fr
He like it cause it's "FUN 🤓" he like " FUN STUFF🤓"... Being sarcastic by the way
He is a content creator . 🙄
Coming from a dude that don’t even go to card show. 5tfu.
Yes he rich
Hello everybody
Have you never seen a basketball card from the 90s? Those are all dollar cards. Your lack of knowledge in the hobby is astounding.
Is that why he makes 10x whatever you could possibly make in the same hobby..?
@@shutupmanfulthanks for your support Desmond Ridder. I'm sure he 10x all those Zion rookies he bought in 2020. You're idea of 10x must be the same as Fanatics 10x
@@carolinatarheels7903 My Idea of 10x is having a Store Front Sports Card Business, Multiple UA-cam Channels that brings in revenue, being a sponsor for multiple things, started a ground breaking sports card app that oh btw makes a ton of money. Learn the fuck up yah little kid about how business actually works before sound like the little kid you are.
Say throwback a few more times...
I am @7:22 and I bet he finds a 50 card later in the video, I mean you cannot offer the title without finding something.
Staged I bet?
Yall should come to the maize card show in ks Dec 14!
2 hours of work to turn $50 into $55, wow! lol Subscribe for more cool information :) Edit: Enjoyed the video and cool cards, thanks for sharing! I would like to see more baseball cards, vintage wrestling cards, vintage American Indian cards, that is what I like to collect lol ;)
I woulda told him $4 ea alot of thoes only sell for $3-5 anyway
Please take a look at the latest video of a you tube channel called treasure hunting with Jebus he has bought a storeage unit with nothing but autographed cards basketball baseball football he has one binder of mixed cards with nothing but autographs might be worth a look it is part one you can see from the video there is binder after binder of cards he is going to blow everything out on what not this Tuesday great fan of all your videos keep up the great work ❤️🇨🇦
Those $5 cards are way overpriced, especially the football cards. That moron paying $3.50 a card is going to regret buying that garbage. Dollar bin cards all day long. No one is buying Grant Hill.
If u want to find some gems for cheap u don’t go to a card show I ain’t gonna but u can figure it out
Buying online sure as hell ain't the way to go about it
Stick to the showcases 😂
Like everything else, you need money to make money.
If anyone finds a JSN red prizm (any kind) send me a comment I have a PSA 10 and a 9 of DK RC and locketts RC need a JSN then want a K9 and charbonnet idk what it is but after I got the DK for only $50 I knew I needed the rest lol
Hi
Why you gotta kill the man. He's trying to make a living. Boo on you.
Great video, awesome cards and amazing idea!
On how to lose money on overpriced cards? Yeah real swell
JOSH ALLEN FINALLY DONE IT.... HE SLAYED THE BEAST MAHOMMES WITH A 30 YARD DASH TO THE ENDZONE WHILE WATCHING THIS . BILLS 30 KC 21 2:08 ???
nice like haha
Why is it all football and basketball. Boring
There is a reason them cards are in value boxes. They are there because they will not grade well. And the sellers know that. And never price your cards with market movers, its a joke. They only track internet sales. They dont consider prices from indivdual sales, face to face sales such as card shows, and many other ways cards are sold.
@johnwilson9906 what’s best option to price/comp?
dollar bin videos 💤
Do customers at Cards HQ take a stack of 20 $5 cards and offer say, 80 bucks? And is that considered and or accepted?
Retail store vs card show. Do you do that at Walmart?
@@michaelcarter3127no sorry cards hq is nothing like walmart. Walmart don't sell singles and slabs. Huge difference between the 2. That is crazy you even used walmart as a comparison to cards hq. Yes 99% of cards stores you can get bulk deals and stuff.
I’ve been able to do it at the LCS I went to growing up and my dad did too. It may not always work and it helps if you are a regular.
