- Cherokee Speaker and radio host Dennis Sixkiller keeps the Cherokee language alive with his weekly radio show, echoing the words and songs of our elders throughout Cherokee country.
He is the best.really nice ,good Cherokee man.
I know how he feels I miss my gma and duda and noon singing at church
I love the radio show, especially to hear the elders. I only just discovered it. I'm learning Jalagi. I wish I knew more so I could understand the Cherokee conversations better. Such lovely stories, experiences, people... God bless the families of the elders passing on. Dodadagohvi.

Thats my great-uncle lol. Im not kidding either, my grandpa is Kenneth Ray Sixkiller, little brother of Dennis, sons of Houston Sixkiller.

Oh how I thank you for this show... "Wa do" this is so special to me.. I remember my great grandmother Swimming Deer who talked mostly in Cherokee singing just like that my grandmother also then my ,mother.. These are the western band of Cherokee brought about from the trail of tears and their language is a bit different from us eastern band..but I can still understand most of what they say... this was so heartwarming .. thank you and God bless....
