I have the 535LK and I love it! Excellent trimmer and with 2.2 HP has plenty of power & with all the attachments available it really is a fantastic all round machine! ❤️ The old Honda starting up straight away, their engineers are legendary, have them on my mowers. I bought a very cheap qualcast brushcutter about twenty years ago, used it for about 4 years with no maintenance and it's been sat in my shed since then, took it out about two months ago, fueled her up and she started second pull!!! 😲
It's my understanding the 525L has a flexible shaft that causes the mid range vibration while the 525LS and LST have a rigid shaft. 525L was designed as a prosumer grade to be sold at Lowe's.
I had 2 fs94r bro they were terrible its terrible with hot starts i have the 525L its a great trimmer but has issues with hot starts aswell but more reliable then the stihl 94r ive heard its going to be discontinued cuz its giving stihl alot of issues with carbs i do truely recommend echo srm2620 Awesome trimmer our most reliable trimmer in our company and own 10 and none have giving us any issues at all Echos are kicking everyones ass right now they have the biggest bad ass blower on the market you can't go wrong with them.
Could not agree more. I've owned the Stihl FS94, Shindaiwa T262 (Echo SRM2620), and Husqvarna 525LK over the last 5 years. This is what I found: 1. Stihl Good on Fuel Light weight/well balanced Hard Starts, especially when cold Carb went out in year 1 No power 2. Husqvarna Light weight/well balanced Easy starting T35 head....very nice Good power but head spins a little too slow. So, you have to pull up higher on the throttle to get a good cut. It's like the 4 mix on the Stihl...all or nothing. This leads to excessive fuel usage for weekly lawns 3. Shindaiwa T262/Echo SRM2620 Longer Shaft Excellent Power Very Well Balanced Not too bad on fuel Fast head speed leading to quick/clean cuts Only negative: too much vibrations up the shaft to the point my hand was getting numb. Dealer attempted to fix it but could not so I had to sell it. I'm not sure if that vibration issue was fixed but the Echo/Shindaiwa 2620/262 is definitely the best choice among the 3 from my experiences.
@@joeraptor1 Yes i totally agree usally when you get vibration is cuz the shaft needs to be greased the Shidiawa tend to vibrate a little more then the srm2620 cuz of the steal shaft the srm2620 has a flex shaft but mines what i do if i start feeling vibration i greese the hole entire shaft and it goes away also what i do sometimes is i take out the bottom spool and turn it and put it back on that usally helps when they start to get wear on them sometimes even when they come new you have to turn them hope this helps.
Why are you guys even doing compare video it's clear you guys are sthil fanboys just come out with it say it anything you buy it's going to have its ups and downs I f****** hate sthil they're cheap plastic they're way too proud of their product you go to any small engine repair 90% of what you see in there is a sthil I'm not saying Husqvarna is better I'm just saying be real with what you think don't slam another brand because you're wanting to marry your sthil
Not to mention stilhs unvented caps which cause vapor locking & gas spuing all over you when you open a cap & I’ve never seen a 94 R that didn’t have hot start issues
I have the 525LST. it’s absolutely amazing. Starts on a dime, runs incredibly well and can tear down anything. I have some time in the Stihl and none on the Echo. Both the Stihl and Husky are good machines. I will probably always end up using a Husqvarna. All of my friends the two professional landscaping, end up with better consistency with the Husky’s. Around where I live in Georgia, the Husqvarna service centers are way more attentive, the parts are easier to get and I have not had good success with any of the Stihl dealers I have had. I used to race Husqvarna Enduro bikes and no one could catch me. So I like the Husqvarna family. Finally their own brand of oil is far superior to the Stihl oil. However they are both great machines.
Having owned Stihl, Echo and others I must say Husqvarna always start and run so smooth... And I agree Husqvarna synthetic XP oil is the best I've used by far!
ive been hmming and hahhing between the fs94r and fs131r i think id enjoy the 131 more i like a heavier machine with more torque but im concerned the "4mix" design will have valve issues down the road any opinion on this? does husky have comparable models? do they use 4mix style or are they all 2stroke or some are straight 4stroke? im coming from a worn out troybilt 4stroke that took straight gas.. i cant remember what it was like new but after a decade of use it currently doesnt have enough power for my use
@@AndrewBrowner stihls all are 4 mix accept the 94r. Thats why i chose it plus it lighter then there other models. The huskys are either 4 stroke or 2 stroke no 4 mix style with valves. It all would come down to feel
@@jacksonsinflatablechannel 4 mix is 4stroke yes but it still takes mixxed fuel, the 94r is also 2stroke.. i ended up purchasing a 131 and i like it.. just that 2strokes tend to be simpler for something like a weed wacker simple is better imo hoping i dont run into valve issue down the road
I’m looking for the best top of the line trimmer for my new house on a corner lot. Don’t care about price. I bought the fs91r but the powerband on the 4 mix is all or nothing or different than other 2 strokes I’ve ran. It’s heavy as well. Can you recommend what I should buy? As a kid we ran echos but the stihl seems more refined. Go with the fs94r or something else?
94r is very light. I preferred it to my older 90r stihl. I would choose stihl over echo. Husqvarna 525 is great option too. I would recommend going to the dealers and feel them out. See what handle is better for you and weight.
@@Crazysnake212 To me the stihl seems more refined compared to the echo. In fact my mom heard I bought a line trimmer and said why’d you do that? Have your dad’s and she gave me his. He got sick fairly soon after buying an srm225 echo so it’s barely used. Now I have an srm 225 that I’d like to possibly turn into a hedge trimmer by taking the gear head off because we have tall hedge rows and then get the 94r or stick with the 91r. My shop said husqys aren’t good anymore and they only have a dusty 525ls. I heard makitas are amazing as well. I liked the loop handle of the 91r with the rubber and I dislike the plastic on the 94. Maybe 94 Kombi or spend 280 on a echo hedge head and buy the 94r since a lot of what I do is finesse and not full throttle.
@@thisismee3642 thank you for commenting. Those machines look really nice however my lot is all landscaped so it’s more so a lot of finesse work and not as much clearing open field. That being said my mom gave me my Dad’s lightly used echo srm225 he had for a little while before he passed away. I wanted to take the gear head off the 225 and put a hedger head on since we have hedge rows and buy a brand new stihl so I’d have a pole hedger and a straight pole line trimmer. Now I don’t know what to get for the house. 94r 91r? Kombi? Keep the srm225 as is save for a backup? I would’ve asked my Dad but he’s gone sadly so I appreciate y’alls advice
Since the ssrm225 has sentimental value. Can't replaced dad's belongings. Don't hack or piece it leave it original. Here is what I know about lawn equipment. Blowers stihl br800 adjustable tube. The br450 tip is the same size output as br800 fixed tube. So now the 800 is multipurpose. Weed eater echo/husqvarna/redmax/honda because they last without complaint. Every stihl weedeater I have come in contact with nothing but trouble. I piece them out by putting the straight tube shaft and spool head on other units. Hedge trimmers echo/husqvarna/redmax Chainsaw stihl/husqvarna they have best chainsaws for some reason. The stihl/redmax/ryobi/poulanpro/craftsman/mtd products nearly all have same size fittings. Echo is different size for what ever reason, I guess keep attachments exclusive.
@@thisismee3642 how do you like the Husqvarna?maybe my dealer had a falling out with them and that’s why he says they’re crap now. They carry stihl echo and Shindaiwa/echo products. They have one Makita accessory and one Husqvarna 525ls I had never heard of red max until I started looking into forums. In northern ca we have fescue and Bermuda. Mostly fescue and blue grass. Scag and Redmax I have never held. Hadn’t handled a stihl before either until now. How come they’re so expensive and hold their value if tneyre not quality machines. I admit maybe I’ve been fooled by the plastic. I did find that the km 94r is a better build with a solid steel shaft and upgraded pleated filter rather than foam. And my dealer said he’d give me the trimmer head for 239 a line trimmer attachment for free and extend the warranty to five years
