I've always been a Mopar guy, but I have found myself really wanting one of these trucks. Your truck is about what I pictured of what I'd want to do to one. Your truck is very nice!
"These trucks are extremely hot right now" THAT'S a SERIOUS understatement. If you have one, you're blessed! Had mine for 28 years. Your truck looks great bro. 👍 I subbed
My dads uncle bought his brand new in 1989 then went to my dad in the early 90’s and I grew up in the passenger side. It was sitting for 5 years n my dad didn’t want it no more I said I always wanted to restore it as it brings good memories, well now it’s mine and I. Was gonna go 100% oem restored but I have a LS3 and the truck already has a new 700r so I am gonna lower it with some wheels.
Sweet truck, Got to chat with you about it at C10 Nationals this year. So many content creators turn out to be snobs at shows but you talked to me for 30 minutes about this truck. Super cool dude. I’ll be watching.
Working on restoring my 90 right now. I love what you've done with your truck. I'm torn between a boosted lq4 or an all motor lq9 with a healthy cam, heads, and intake. Leaning more toward N/A at the moment. I'll sub for more content on the truck. 👍
Whats the measurements for the truck from the floor to the bottom of truck ? I’m asking because I want to know if I have a 4/6 drop , and your looks way lower then mine . If you can help me with that , that would be great thanks
Love the truck building one extremely similar myself. I'm surprised by your horsepower number with a 408. Richard holdner's Channel he tested a 6.0 with Trailblazer intake truck Norris cam headers no accessories electric water pump 520 crank hp. And everybody always says take 100 hp off at the wheel. I guess that's not accurate? Or yours has much in it, should be able to be around 475 at wheels with good low end type cam and up from there. If 100 off was/is accurate. 👏👍
@@AllTimePerformance well actually, the Boost mirrors what you have naturally aspirated. You can safely run 20 lb of boost on a junkyard stock crank block and rods 706 heads on a 5.3 but I sure don't know everything, I imagine with dished more than to say an lq4 piston and you could run some seriously higher boost than 20 lb if you wanted. Cant wait till mine is as purdy as yours, I'm liable to sleep underneath it first couple days after it's painted. 👍
@@kevinwest3689 Yeah my compression ratio is a little lower than a LQ4. I Just know my engine builder gapped the rings for 20lbs and he said the motor would out live the truck in tunned properly. I cant say the same for a stock junk yard LS. A stock LS on 20lbs is on numbered days.
@@AllTimePerformance I've never heard of gapped for a certain level of boost but I'm still learning. I would like to disagree with your tuner but I'm not even a tuner, the gap between my ears could probably handle at least 50 lb of boost lol
@@kevinwest3689 LOL cleetus has some videos where they did some experiments with sock iron block LS they were lucky to get 5 pass out of them before the blew up.

This shit made me smile any LS turbo headers and tune will keep up with almost anything

New video coming.
Sharp looking OBS GMC
Thanks
Love the build.

I prefer the stock taillights but watching yours has me rethinking that, looks great
I appreciate that!
I’ve seen your truck at caffeine I love it 🔥 I got a 6.0 too but not built that much I think imma
put a procharger on mine

Great video Chris! 💪
Appreciate it!
What are your wheel size / offset, thx your truck is perfect.
Love the truck building a white OBS with twin turbo LS. May i ask who makes the GMC grill emblem thank you
I can’t recall where I got it from. I think eBay.
Nice clean truck a 6.0 is a LS motor 😅
Put C-5 brakes on your truck. They stop very well and it is not expensive.
sweet
What starter? I'm having starting issues and I'm being told I need a reduction gear starter.
Stock start for a late model truck
What year tahoe did the seats and console come out of?? Direct bolt up? Are your door panels factory??
Beautiful truck, what size rims, and tires and offset?🇺🇸👍
I must know where you got those tail lights??
What your tire and wheels size??? Lowering heights???
What brakes did you go with/suspension setup?
Any link to the bed cover ?
Link ?
Where do you purchase your cold air intake 😮?
I made it with some 4in pipe and a 90 degrees coupling
What the guy was asking is how much did you lower tour truck
5-7 drop.

Biggest thing that kills my power is the lower compression from the dished -10cc pistons. My LQ9 is build for 20lbs of boost.

30 min turn sig is CAP.
Very uncomfortable cab, with those seats,, Plus a tall guy,,, Why tall guys likes single cab trucks!!!
I fit fine in it. But I will say I do not ride around with the seat at a 45 degree angle

if you have a c notch in the back then it is most likely you have a 4/6 I don't have the truck to measure it
Whats the size of those tires?
20in
