This ELEPHANT chord is not easy for me at first, but I did conquer it with the guide of your video which was 3years ago. Thanks Miss Katie, love you tons!💃💃💃💃👍👍👍👍🙌🙌
THANK YOU SO MUCH, I HAVE SO MUCH PROBLEM PLAYING THE E CHORD SINCE MY FINGERS ARE VERY SHORT, i never tried to play it bcos it was hard but this can help me now. Thank you!
I really hope this video helps you. I also made a video a few years ago about 5 different ways to play the E chord. If none of the three from this video work, try the other 5 from this video. 5 DIFFERENT WAYS TO PLAY THE E CHORD. - ua-cam.com/video/L8vXbVB-Mtw/v-deo.html
I've found, by far, that 444x is the absolute easiest E chord to play. With practice you might even be able to do with using only your index finger. Just slide your D chord up two frets, but instead of playing the open A string, you mute it entirely. What you end up with is the notes B E G# x, which is all you need for an E chord.
Another great video. Lovs that you give people options. I still prefer using all 4 strings when playing. Also going up the neck it gets thicker so not always easier to play barr chords.
Thanks for watching. I think it depends upon how far up the neck you’re going and what the neck shape is of your ukulele. Many of my students have found a C#m easier than a Bm just because there was less tension. It could vary from person to person and instrument to instrument.
Thanks for watching 😀. I think I did mention that shape in my other E chord video that has 5 other variations that made a couple years ago. I’ll have to look back and check.
I have a very weird way I play mine. Thumb barres G C and E strings on the 4th fret while my index is on the 2nd fret A string. Sounds cool. Hope it helps
Okay all the teachers have one of these cool ukuleles. Do I need one? What is so unique about it again? Currently have my eyes on a bamboo uke, but this one keeps showing up in tutorials.
I have a few videos on the Nova U and I’ll link them below if you want more info about them 😀. I hope it helps. Nova u concert- ua-cam.com/video/ddrKDnsU8zI/v-deo.html Nova u soprano - ua-cam.com/video/PTlXJ19UOPs/v-deo.html
Great information as always ❤. One question, please do share the microphone details you using in this video, would like to know about it for my future guitar recording 😄😄. Thank you🙏
Hi! I featured your comment in my latest video. Thank you for asking your question, and I hope that this helps. ua-cam.com/video/9k1t4N3UuSc/v-deo.html
Katie, the way you described about playing 1x02 E-chord, is not in my opinion right way to do it. It is a 2 finger chord. Use only index and 3rd fingers. Don't mute with 2nd, but mute C-string instead with first finger slightly slanted. It is a somewhat of a trick, but trust me it will work fine. If you even try mute with second finger, it can bring tension in left hand. Remember fingers are off the string or fretting. Thumb is an exemption maybe :)

Great ideas Katie, thanks! Surprised you didn't mention the other "normal" shape of 1042.
Thanks for watching 😀. I think I did mention that shape in my other E chord video that has 5 other variations that made a couple years ago. I’ll have to look back and check.

I have seen people do it that way. Where there’s a will, there’s a way 😀. Thanks for sharing!
Thankyou it helps :-)
So glad it helped 😀.
You know what I would love to learn? The Other Father Song from Coraline.
I’ve never heard it. It’s always neat to hear what you all are listening to.

Hi and thanks for watching. I’m using the Blue baby bottle condenser mic. I think I bought it in 2015.
@@OneMusicSchool Thanks a lot for sharing 🙏🏻. Noted😊
How about the Ab (A flat) or Gb (G flat) chords? Thank you!!
That’s a great idea.

I have shbort fingers and I've had great difficulty doing the E chord. says Judy Corrette
Thanks for the updated vid, Katie! I cringe whenever I see the E chord and just skip over the note all together 🤣 🤦🏻♀️
