Oh dear one of my favourites or should i say i was always mesmerized with Naag Naagin (Divine cobras) there are so many movies and shows about these where you find the characters who are snakes but can turn themselves into humans and also some of them can take any human shape and form. These stories mostly are revenge stories. It has been said snakes can live up to 100 years and when someone is killed or tortured the snakes takes revenge. Sridevi ji had always big beautiful expressive eyes and here it's not only contact lenses but also her expressions that makes this mystical movie so enjoyable. From big screen to indian Dramas these stories has been always pulling numbers. I remember sayantani ghosh playing naagin on a drama and then later on Mouni Roy did it and that show was record breaking. After that it has been repeated with same story but only a few of them were actually good.

It's a Supernatural movie. I believe she's, well done Waleska, a magical Snake who can take human form. India doesn't hate snakes the way most of the western world does. One of our preeminent gods is a snake with seven heads who's supposed to be holding up the entire universe atop his head.
The villain played by the Late Great Amrish Puri who was The villian of Nineties Bollywood. He is, well done again, sort of a power hungry Shaman, who's looking to capture the Snake Woman because she knows the location of a pearl that could grant him immense Supernatural Powers.

This movie was released in mid 80s and most of the actors shown in this song are not in the world now. Sridevi, Amrish Puri(The bad guy here) and Rishi Kapoor all are dead now. The Amrish Puri was the same guy who also started the famous Hollywood movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Dooms". He was considered the most horrifing Actor that year in Hollywood too.

Oh dear one of my favourites or should i say i was always mesmerized with Naag Naagin (Divine cobras) there are so many movies and shows about these where you find the characters who are snakes but can turn themselves into humans and also some of them can take any human shape and form.
These stories mostly are revenge stories. It has been said snakes can live up to 100 years and when someone is killed or tortured the snakes takes revenge.
Sridevi ji had always big beautiful expressive eyes and here it's not only contact lenses but also her expressions that makes this mystical movie so enjoyable.
From big screen to indian Dramas these stories has been always pulling numbers. I remember sayantani ghosh playing naagin on a drama and then later on Mouni Roy did it and that show was record breaking.
After that it has been repeated with same story but only a few of them were actually good.

This movie is about the love of a snake lady and a snake man who dies and take rebirth as a human. So the vilian finds out she is the snake lady so he with his apprentice comes to take her to get the pearl.
So the instrument they are playing is called 'Been' or 'Pungi' which acts like a snake charmer for which the actress in the song was feeling uncomfortable and was not able to resist on the sound of that instrument. Even in modern days in India you would see the traditional snake handler carries this instrument with them all the time.
