Obviously you method to cut the jack mitre notch with the chop saw works, but have you considered using a router with notching bit?
Hi jar944 yes I did think about that a few years ago but the was the breakout with the router bit, so I just got use to using the chop saw.
Now I can do I frame in less than an hour.
Do you use the router? If you have a good method with the router I’d love to see it, I’m always learning 👍🔨📐😄
@@GaryThomsonJoinery yes I do use a router. I started originally with a jig that held the part to be cut with a clamp and allowed the router to slide forward and back. I eventually modified it to be partially automatic. I think the key to the router notching is to use a false fence, and to cut the bead after.
