I've been curious about the French dub for many years, but I only started looking for it last year. To my great joy I finally found it and was able to play it. (I don't live in France and most DVDs and websites are region locked or inaccessible.) There's not many clips of this dub on UA-cam, so I'll be uploading funny clips in the hopes of sharing this rare dub with the English-speaking SM world. This is part 1 of French dub nonsense.

There’s so many mistakes like that in the AB French dub 😂
Sometimes even transformation and attack names are interchanged between characters - until the last eps SuperS, the transformation/attacks names were never changed or updated.
Another famous mistake is the francisation of Minako’s name - during the first 2 episodes she appears, she is called Amélie (like her voice actress Amélie Morin) but then in ep.37, she magically changes to Mathilda!
Did they quality check the script for this dub? This is such a glaring continuity error. How could they miss that?

In the swedish dub they called Sailor V "Sailor 5", which is fitting since she's the 5th who joins, but doesn't really make sense in-world. I wonder why they changed it
SAILOR "V" is called "sailor "5" in Swedish, because V was the Roman Numeral for 5; like I is 1, and IV is 4. Thus 5 is V.
I don't know if this was intentional, but this made me realize that Sailor V's name sounds like "c'est la vie"

In the live action Sailor Moon series Sailor Venus is a singer and sings a song called "C'est la vie", so they must have realized that in Japan too!
Sometimes she is called "Sailor Five", or "Sailor the fifth of the name"... finally, in the entire season, Sailor V is called correctly in only one episode 😂
The Cloverway dub of Sailor Moon is a poor man's French-to-English translation of this. Like this version, Fisheye is a tomboy. It's sad that all earlier French dubs of anime have all girly men portrayed as tomboy characters just because they got concerned of the sensitive little children.
Huh? I wonder if the Hungarian dub made this mistake too since it was based off of the French dub. But this is better than the Big Green French dub of DBZ

@@greymystery not sure anymore. Similar to the French dub it used to be pretty easy to find here on UA-cam but then copyright reasons took down several videos thanks to Viz Media and Toei.
