Therion, which was formerly Blitzkrieg, Megatherion, is a Swedish Symphonic Metal Band and has Death Metal & Thrash Metal in past so you can hear the beating rhythm and guitar riffs & melodies and awesomeness in all of their songs especially this one. Any of them are completely different from any other song than you have ever heard in your entire life and it’s so hot. With these hard strumming guitars and deep voices of men and soprano voices of women that are taking me into another world completely, which is exactly what Therion strives to amaze you with how good they truly are at performing, singing, playing, and composing. They are going the way of Metal Opera Orchestral Arrangement in 2018, which they are planning on performing some of the songs from their Metal Opera at their Concerts in 2018, it’s already on the schedule. Therion was originally a Death Metal Band, they have adjusted their musical style by adding Orchestral elements, including choirs, classical musicians, and even a full orchestra at their concert performances. As a result, they are considered pioneers of the Symphonic Metal genre. Therion started in 1988 in Upplands Väsby, Sweden. THe Members of Therion are currently: Christofer Johnsson-Founding Member of Therion, Guitarist, Musician, Singer-Songwriter, Producer, & Multi-Instrumentalist, Thomas Vikström- Permanent Vocalist & Multi-Intrumentalist, Christian Vidal- Guitarist & Sitarist, Sami Kristian Karppinen is a former Finnish Drummer and sound engineer for Therion(1998-2001) and Nalle “Grizzly” Påhlsson. Therion takes its themes from different mythologies and practices, including occultism, magic, ancient traditions, and writings. Thomas Karlsson, the head and founder of the magical order of the Dragon Rouge, has provided lyrics for the band since 1996. This album Gothic Kabbalah is the thirteenth full-length album by Therion, it was released in Europe on 12 January 2007. The album was mixed by Stefan Glaumann. The main line-up has changed: Petter Karlsson returned to playing drums, Christofer Johansson announced in 2006 he is retiring from singing, vocals on this album were performed by Mats Levén, Snowy Shaw, and three female singers: Katarina Lilja, Anna Nyhlin, and Hannah Holgersson. This album was released on the Nuclear Blast Record Label and classified as Symphonic Gothic Metal and Progressive Metal. “Son of the Staves of Time” is Track #5 on the album and was written by Mats Levén. The Members who are in Therion in 2006 are: Christofer Johnsson- Keyboards, Programming & Guitar, Kristian Niemann- Lead and Rhythm Guitars & Keyboards, Johan Niemann- Bass Guitar, Guitar & Acoustic Guitar, Petter Karlsson- Drums, Guitar, Keyboards, Solo in “Chain of Minerva” & “TOF” and choral vocals & Percussion. Guest Musicians: Mats Levén- Lead Vocals in most of the songs but especially “Son of the Staves of Time,” and Guitar. Snowy Shaw- Lead Vocals in songs on disc 2. Female Vocalists: Katarina Lilja & Anna Nyhlin. Hannah Holgersson had other solos but she had solos on “Son of The Staves of Time.” Therion rocked then and now more than ever!! @@trnallif2778 Su voz no es tan típica en el Heavy, no es tan aguda y chillona como las voces típicas, sí, añade ese toque de subir y bajar pero ese rasgueo característico de él lo hace sonar excelente.

I love that this is the most watched Therion video on UA-cam. I've always thought that the first CD from Gothic Kabbalah is Therion's best album, which is weird because Christofer Johnsson wrote part of only 1 of those songs. This is by far the best lineup they've had. Levén, Karlsson and the Niemann brothers were great in this.

En vivo Snowy, en mi opinión, arruina todo sentimiento que cualquier canción te puede llevar a provocar. Su voz discrepa por completo, además de que siento que quiere ganar protagonismo. Mats siempre fue impecable, el mejor vocalista que pudo haber tenido Therion.
