That's how it was in olden times. People buried their own on the property. Surprised you haven't found more . Such sorrow in this find, and still amazing. Thank you.
"Double dooring" is done to reduce sound transmission to a room. It's most effective if the door edges are sealed or at least dampened with weather stripping or velvet. The other door was probably wired shut due to unreliable latching.
What an unbelievable Location, and find, Colin. Although tinged with sadness. Can't believe the Power's still on. A true Time Capsule. Keep up the great work.
Absolutely amazing explore and story of it all. My ex-girlfriend,lived in the family home and her grandmothers grave was just outside the kitchen, could see it from the window of the kitchen. I gather that if you get the proper permits, etc. that its possible to be buried on your property. A bit morbid and comforting at the same time I guess. Im looking forward to the second part of this sad but interesting story. Cheers for the States, be safe 👊👍

What a facinating explore. I can't believe the electric is still on after nearly a quarter of a century. I love to see these untouched time capsules. the cupboard computer room was so cool. It was really great of the subscribing neighbor to tell you about this place. it just shows how much people appreciate your entgrity and respect you show in the videos you do.
It’s incredible that the power is still on after all these years, even the TV is still on ! A potential fire hazard, I would think. What a fascinating explore of this time capsule.
what an amazing story. Hopefully you'll find the other house and explore that for us too. Such a cute place but with the water leakage and power on, surprised it hasn't burned down.
If that place had a modern consumer unit it would have tripped. It’s obviously on old rewireable fuses which take a lot of current to burn through. Having spent last year clearing my dad’s home there must be thousands of places like this in the UK. Dad was horder and kept everything because he was a war baby. I had to recycle 10 lawn mowers , 5 rotavators etc.. and taxidermy . Miss him so much but it does explain why you guys have an endless world to explore. I am already planning my demise so I don’t have to leave so much “stuff” to clear up. Thanks for being so respectful. You get a gold medal for it.. All the best
Wow, very cool and seriously creepy. The hair on the back of my neck stood up just watching! Cannot imagine what it felt like actually being there. A true mystery as to why things were left as is. Great tour, thank you for sharing it with us. 🇨🇦♥️
These videos just go to show we exist in a fraction of time, rich, poor, popular, famous, life is so short and we live such a short life on this earth.
How bizarre that the lights are left on in certain rooms! Maybe to make it look at night that the house is occupied? Even though it clearly looks abandoned. And who is paying the bills? Maybe the gentleman died intestate, and until the legal matters are resolved, both properties are just left sitting empty and unable to be sold.....Amazing explore, as always, and really looking forward to seeing the follow-up video ❤👍

That house feels like a tomb. It reminds me of nightmares I've had about my dad's mother who died in her house all alone. Her body was half rotted when she was found.

The wife of a neighbour was buried legally on her land between two horses who had died of old age. It took a long time to get permission. I have to say they were difficult people to deal with but loved their horses and dogs. I fully agree that it was allowed! Just very odd!
If u think about it a lot of the aristocratic families used to have graveyards on their properties so not so unusual. What a fascinating explore - one of the best!! Some very happy spiders living there! 🕷️🕷️🕷️
Those 2 clocks you saw at 11:00 both run on batteries, the fact that they both still working means someone put them there in the last couple of years or someone changed the batteries, as these need new batteries every couple of years. The fact there were lights on upstairs and bulbs left on 24 hours a day will only run for about 50 days for old style incandescents before blowing, means someone has been in there quite recently. Maybe the old man visited there to maintain things until he died himself, not sure, but too many giveaways that it had not been completely abandoned and unvisited for 23 years.
Amazing Colin, brilliant explore, really reminds me of the mansion next to the church that you did ages ago, I won't name as it's getting trashed, but amazing. Can't wait to see the husband's house if you find it. Cheers
😅 Why does the grave scare you? Do you feel scared in graveyards, too? Because it's no different, it just happens to be in her garden, likely where she felt happiest. I would only find it creepy if you stumbled upon the unknown, unmarked grave/dumping ground of some poor unfortunate crime victim. Now, that would be terrifying. Burrying family members on ones property used to be a commonplace practice. It's a shame that it's been broken up/vandalised, though. It's likely that it's only the lady's ashes buried there, not a body. I can not see how burying a body in one's garden could be legal in this day & age.
Hi Colin & Ben. Hope your doing good. That was one awesome video. I can't believe the power is still on, how mad is that? That's one very cool video. Stay safe and take care.

As a matter of interest... my mother gave birth to a stillborn baby back in the early 1950s.. there were nine of us.. but we were never told where the baby was burried.. my father made a box.. lined it with cotton wool and burried it in the back garden.. we never mentioned it as years ago it was tabo..i wonder now.. im in my late 60ss what was it.. boy/girl? Name.. even the location of where he placed it.. rhings happened many years ago that would not be acceptable today xx
Yes I think it's incredible how this house is abandoned in the light still works on it but one thing in concern me is does a hot-water you said hot running water inside the house and thank you for the video it's incredible
It just shows how much they obviously cared for each other for him to bring her back and go through the system of home burial. What i would suggest though having been involved with many deceased dwellings maybe being a little discretionary if you do managed to find the lads house untouched as some of them can be very bad in nature. Out of every ten trainee's we used to get maybe one would stick around but never for long.
This was just absolutely crazy! I love how you respect the property and the belongings. Its sad her grave isnt taken care of. But i would very much like to see her "husbands" house as well. I do believe that you will stumble upon a corpse one day. Thats how it is when you go urbexing. But its a very nice thought about her grave, that she hopefully wished to be buried there, and she got her final resting place where she wanted it.

What a beautiful home you should have checked to see if the water was on
You're turning into a bit of a paranormal investigator, Colin! Maybe you should start a new UA-cam channel and do some paranormal investigating like the guys over at Ghosts Of Britain. Stokeze Stu can join you on some of them too because he's always searching for new ideas.
Amazing find. But also so sad. Just left for nature to take over 😢
Loved this one ❤
your videos are amasing keep up to good work,if you come across 70s-90s places it brings back so many fond memories.
The first room had a timer, to turn lights off and on. So the timer is doing what it was set to do when the house was closed up.
Another great video 👌🏼
Yes I think it's incredible how this house is abandoned in the light still works on it but one thing in concern me is does a hot-water you said hot running water inside the house and thank you for the video it's incredible
I’m so confused the Ribiena in the fridge is much later than 2000 but everything else seems to fit
Wow this one is really sad. Feels like it could be my nans house. Hopefully it's cleared and made into a home soon. Great video guys
I just love this one!!!!!! Awesome job!!! How I wish I were there!!!! Wowwwwwww❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great explore colin great story go at the end mate
❤ Another great explore, but such a sad story..really wish you’d delve a bit deeper to find hidden treasues/photos/info about the lady & her family…& ‘crest toothpaste’,is still in many shops/supermarkets..❤

Yes you can bury someone in your grounds as long as strict guidelines are adhered to.
