Part II of my arrival just days into making Aliyah. 😊 Thanks for everyone’s comments and well wishes in my last video! I’m still in quarantine but doing great so far. - 💖 Meorah
Girl, you don't even KNOW how deliriously happy I am for you!! I started following your channel fairly recently (a few months ago I believe), and it feels as if I literally blinked between your "I want to make Aliyah" video and your "I'm at the airport to get my Aliyah flight to Israel" and I was like, man that happened fast!! I'm dying to see your apartment and the view from your porch. I almost started crying watching this video. I'm someone who very strongly believes that I have Jewish ancestry (ordered a test kit to find out if this is true) and you having the joy and blessing of being able to make Aliyah is just beautiful and amazing. I know that I don't know you personally and I don't mean to be overly emotional, but I'm just so darn happy for you!! Keep us posted! AM ISRAEL CHAI !!!
Menorah, I wish I were in your place! You are so blessed! By the way, that guy who helped you I think that he was an angel sent by the God of Israel to welcome you properly! All the best to you and looking forward to meeting you one day in that beautiful land of God!
Aleichem shalom, Meorah! I'm ridiculously excited for you! Mazel tov on your aliyah! Baruch Hashem! Your video just hyper restored my hope and dreams to make aliyah one day! So excited to see your journey continuing! Hashem should bless and protect you. Chanukah sameach!
Following your journey has been so exciting, gratifying and inspiring. I am so thankful that you are choosing to share it with us! I am currently in the middle of the conversion process and love to hear everything you have to say about all of your experiences. Congratulations!!! I can't wait to see more!
OMG you just got here a few weeks ago! First of all, congratulations. Second of all, hang on tight. You have just jumped on a wild roller coaster. Everything is different, but it will be OK. Incidentally, if you are looking for low cost and high diversity, consider the Hadar HaCarmel neighborhood in Haifa. I pay 1050 NIS rent for a one room apartment. My neighbors are Buddhists (foreign workers from Sri Lanka), Muslims, Russian Christians, Arab Christians, Filipinos, secular Russian Jews and Chassidish Jews. It feels a little like Queens in NYC. And we have a beach.
Thanks! And wow, that's very affordable! I'm really trying to stay in Jerusalem but very eager to check out Haifa at some point. Seems like a really fun area. 🤓
@@hameorah After I first arrived, of course I went to Jerusalem however to get a little bit of a bargain but it's just barely outside the city limits, I shared an apartment in Mevaseret Zion. Mevaseret is really nice by the way. However I have ended up working as a janitor. So I thought: Why I am I living in or near Jerusalem, maybe the most expensive city in Israel? Every city needs a janitor. It's the same minimum wage everywhere. So I fired up my MacBook and started hunting on yad2. That's your source for rental apartments in Israel. The cheapest are in Haifa or Beer Sheva. Beer Sheva sounds a little hot, so here I am in Haifa. In Hadar HaCarmel you can be whatever you want to be and no one cares, if that's something appealing. There are extra kosher supermarkets, chassidish shuls and rebbes and all that also. It must be the most diverse area in Israel. Whatever you are no one will look twice at you.
Congratulations on your move to Israel 🇮🇱 👏!! I haven't watched you in the past few months and didn't know that you were going to move there. I wish you the very best of luck in your new life in Israel!!
Mobile service is so cheap here, but landlines are expensive enough to be called a scam. I lost track of how many tens of GB I'm getting for just 100 shekels a month, but at least 20, plus unlimited calls and texts, plus calling over 50 countries, plus a local number in up to 2 foreign countries so people there can call me in Israel on my Israeli mobile phone as if I was in that foreign country. It helped my grandmother stay in touch with me, and is useful for dealing with bureaucracy in the US. At the same time T-Mobile was $50 for the base package which had no international features and only about 6gb per month. That was I think in 2019. The mobile infrastructure isn't great so reception is spotty, but the price is cheap.
See how this pure girl who has converted and recently moved to Israel constantly thanks Hashem !!! Taxi drivers learn from her and please do not give Jews a bad name
Question are you vaccinated? I’m only asking because I want to make Aliyah to Israel but I don’t wanna get the COVID vaccine and I heard you have to be vaccinated to enter ?!
Hi , Love the vlog ! Just a question are you a convert to Judaism ? I really haven’t seen Asian Jews before ! Hope you don’t mind the question! God bless
It's not so bad, but I will say, it seems like people are much more comfortable using the horn here! I can't even remember the last time I honked my car horn but I hear it a lot in the city (mostly bc it's so crowded). I've driven around here before and didn't find it to be any different than driving elsewhere.

Meorah... You are making me want to go to Israel so bad! 😭
I know exactly what you are talking about, my mother also lives in Jerusalem, and the atmosphere is amazing.
You are definitely living the dream. I hope that 2022 will be the year I finally am able to visit.
So pleased for you!!! May Hashem bless you and your incredible journey always. Love your videos. Chag Hannukah sameach xxx
Welcome! We all look different, but we're your people. Ulpan, creative collabs, and shul hopping will be your best bet to find a community.
Glad that you handled the luggage situation!
Thank you for sharing--I was worried for you after watching the first video. ❤
Mazel tov sister!!! Keep being strong, all us here in the USA are so proud of you! Hanukkah sameach ✡️B'H

So beyond excited for you!!
Thank you! 😊✨
That's wonderful and congrats so wonderful you finally made Ayiyah.
מאוד יפה. שמח שאת שמחה פה. עכשיו את צריכה לעשות את הסרטים שלך בעברית ורק בעברית. חג חנוכה שמח ומזל טוב!
Welcome Home! 🇮🇱
Congratulations!
Mazal Tov!
Welcome home ❤️
Chanukah sameach Meorah!!
Welcome!! We are ready to help if needed!
I wish we had the lush greenery of New England here, though. There are only some areas that have something like that.
Mazel tov!
Hey, I'm just wondering if you've served in the IDF yet?

How did you go about finding a place to live and work?
Are you sure the man with the dolly wasn't an angel?
Hi ,
Love the vlog ! Just a question are you a convert to Judaism ?
I really haven’t seen Asian Jews before ! Hope you don’t mind the question!
God bless
That's actually a forbidden question in Judaism--one of the rare few! We don't ask that.
How did you find an apartment
There are online supermarkets that do deliveries. Rami Levi is cheap. Shufersal is overpriced but has better presentation.
Are drivers impatient in Israel?

ברוך הבא לישראל! איך אני מקנא בך, אשמח לעזור אם יש לך שאלה .
