Do you know Jews are MADE BY BIRTH?
IT IS A NATIONALITY a PEOPLE ordained by God.
I have never heard anyone who is Korean claim Jewish nationality With no kind of blood kinship
Is your dad part Jew or mother?

@@TriciaPerry-lf3sz Judaism is inherited for most Jews..
But the laws of Giyur are based on the Torah and Talmud, and they have been further developed and interpreted by rabbinic authorities over the centuries.
She had a spiritual experience and was drawn to Judaism.. Dont you think its Gods will?

As a Sefardi Jew, I love the kotel and love being there and everywhere in Israel. The Kotel wall will be (and IS) the first wall of the third temple to come. When you put it in that perspective- one sees it differently...

I understand exactly what you're saying. I don't think I would be comfortable on my phone there, just like when I go to synagogue my phone will be off but in my pocket. I get that this sort of thing becomes a tourist circus. Hopefully, no amusement park opens onsite.

The Wall is just a wall ! It was not even part of the Holy Temple! It’s the way we behave and our obedience to God’s commandments that brings us and keeps us closer to GOD, not a wall. We can pray anywhere but if we don’t obey HIM, it’s ALL in VAIN!!!

I think much of what happens at the Kotel is performative.

When I go to the Kotel, I feel like I'm coming home. I'm visiting Hashem, who is my king and my father. So I'm either a princess in her father's palace, or a daughter in my father's house. I feel loved and welcomed and very comfortable. Maybe I should feel more awe?
I think the awe will be more in Beit Hamikdash. That will be something else in the holy temple.
May we see it soon, Amen.

I believe that most people that pray there really mean it, even if they are not very religious on daily basis.
There's no one to impress really.

I’m half Ashkenazi on my mom’s side, and Chinese on my dad’s side. I’m planning on moving out of my parents house, and when I do I want to throw a Shabbat dinner. I want to incorporate Kaifeng culture, but I’m a banana(don’t know much about my Asian heritage). How do I create a Kaifeng Shabbat meal?

You know when I first got to Yeshiva in Jerusalem in 2018.. My first time in Israel I said I need to get to the wall. I need to experience the Wall...I see videos of people crying on their knees. I get there.. I'm like it's just a wall.. okay yea the second temple.. cool, but I don't see what the hype is... I didn't feel that connection. I was looking for a more meaningful time at the Kotelll , but nothing.. the only time I felt a spiritual connection with the creator is when I was in tzfat for shabbos or in the Gush... in the middle of nowhere..Jerusalem was okay , but meh.

Studying Yerushalayim, history, poetry etc, made me feel the feets of the people who lived there in the previous generations. I connected to them by their stories.
It's the same everywhere. Someone young will visit the Twin Towers in NY ,30 years from now, and feel nothing, until that someone will see movies or read about September 11th 2001.
